So do you need to have plumbers ticket to add this, or is it a DIY job?

You can DIY Irrigation systems which are downstream from an isolating valve or tap. So all good.

​@@DarrylSheather Thanks Darryl. I could get a plumber to put an isolating valve immediately after the meter and connect that to the house plumbing and then I could theoretically work on my own plumbing, but even if that is OK, the insurance company will get me.
