  • Check out our first video on the tube about how to not get stuck at Lone Rock Campground. We spend some time sharing about how we got stuck and how you can avoid this by traveling a different route thru the sand. Save some time and money by watching this video before you travel to Lone Rock Beach Campground! Due to the low water level you will have to drive further to reach the shoreline. Ford and Chevrolet pull out Dodge with Jayco travel trailer.

What do people do with their boats and seadoos? Do they launch them at Wahweap after camp is set up? Thinking of going. I have a 2019 F450 dually with slide in camper. Do you recommend?

Do you air down your tires? They all look hard. Makes a big difference. I air down to 20 lbs with a slide in camper on the beach and rarely need 4 wheel drive

We were lazy and didn't air down but should have as we know it does make a huge difference. Next time we certainly will because we will most definitely be back.

I was down there one time only and I have a two wheel drive dually and lance camper. I could see the beaten path and I did not get off it but it was marginal for me traction wise. But man oh man, what a beautiful place to camp!😎

Going down in middle of June with the 32' class A- you think it would be best to pay a guy with a truck to tow us down to the beach and then back up when we leave before we even think about getting stuck??

I think if you choose the right spot you should be able to make it down without issue. Most likely you will need to pay to help pull you out. There is a guy that showed up every day with a white ford who pulled people out. Heard he was towing out big rigs for $120. Make sure you walk and scout before you go...

I'll be renting a sedan and tent camping. Is there any path that is passable for a sedan? Just hard surface

Unless conditions have dramatically changed...I think you will have a tough time with a small car. If I were you and not up to pay to get towed out...I would park above the beach on the hard ground rather than drive down.
