- Orient recently released a new collection of colours in their popular Mako 3 collection of affordable divewatches. In this video I have hands on the new two-colour blue version which I cover in every detail.

It’s a nice addition to the line. Was contemplating on copping myself one but I’m very much settled with my red Kamasu which I’ve been long awaiting and love.
Such a great looking watch in most any color variation. I really like the Mako 3 & value in this timepiece.
Absolutely love the budget friendly Orient watches...I have the RA-AA0011B as my daily driver Mako (as I believe you've reviewed before) - crazy value for money with that one. I sold off my Bambino 2 some time ago, still regret doing that 😄

True in house, looks expensive, feels expensive, works like expensive, it’s fucking luxurious and expensive.
this is a contender for a budget desk diver from a main brand. I think for a beater, diving , etc. the Citizen NY0085 models have the edge - ISO cert,wears more compact and lighter (?). It's not as accurate, though. Plus Long Island Watch does specific bracelets for it now. The strapcode for the MaKo 2 ( same case as M3) is better but still weighty.

Jeg har den oprindelige Mako, den med en ekstra knap til at ændre dagen. Jeg ville ønske lænken ikke var så klodset og at den snævrede lidt mere ind til ca 17-18mm ved låsen. Jeg købte den som ferie-ur og har været glad for den på en læder/gummi rem fra Hirsch Performance serie.
En ting jeg særligt værdsætter er de elegante sværd-formede visere!
Det er et kult ur du har. Jeg fortryder, at jeg i sin tid solgte mit. Det var det orange. Virkeligt sjovt og fint ur 👍

But at 300$ I wouldn't call it a "budget" taking into consideration (as you mentioned in the video) that SM has way better offerings for less money, AND Ray2 + Mako2 were the real budget divers from Orient for half the price.
Nevertheless.... it is indeed an affordable watch.
What is “budget” will vary depending on the person, as this concept is mostly subjective.
For the most part, anything below $1,000 nowadays could easily be considered “budget” when it comes to watches.

This is the new Orient Mako 3.Kamasu and Mako are different watches.
Actually they share the same case and bezel. Just diferent variations of the Ray II. But I love them anyway 😊
That seconds hand tip looks yellow to me.
The bracelet is not terrible for the price, though it is not good either. I have had worse. I like the 22mm lugs.
Oh, the bigger crown is nice to see, but I don´t like the new color way .

The problem with the Orient divers (I've owned 2) is the arrow on the top never aligns perfectly with the top marker. For me, it's a dealbreaker.
I've had that same issue with seiko don't have that issue with my kano or ray 2.
Going to buy it and immediately change out the bracelet… Did the same thing with my Kamasu …
Jubilee solid bracelet with fitted (solid)end-links, and a milled clasp. Tapers from 22 to 18… Transformed into one of my favorite watches… Orient divers have horrible bracelets… And IMO it ruins the wearing experience…

It all depends what you are comfortable with. You should be able to pull it off.

@@TimeAndCrown yes . Think of vulcain skindiver or zodiac. Nobody needs Crown guards. I have never heard of a crown destroyed in normal watch use
