Watching an expert like you try to solve the “rubik’s cube” puzzle made me feel better. I can’t solve it!! I’ve gotten to 3 arrows, can find the 4th, but then I’m just spinning the wheels! I don’t want to give up as I’ve been loving this game, but alas, I might. It’s just too frustrating!! Thanks for all your help, either way.

@@AppUnwrapper thank you for doing that! At least then people can restart the chapter if needed and follow what you did. I eventually got it by a combination of luck and logic...but probably mostly luck, lol.
Totally agree...have no idea about the story line, plot, characters...and as others have said, if YOU had difficulty with some of those puzzles, I feel much better! Always enjoy your walk-throughs. Thank you!

That door puzzle with the 2 knobs is a difficult puzzle at first took me a while to finally get it for the first time and once I did I took screenshots of it as well!! Just had to keep guessing and trying... It is possible to solve without hints however just takes a lot of trial and error... It is a great game however and for those who want a hint the first 3 chapters are a prequel and the last 3 are a sequel to the original game.
I’m having to give up on the ‘rubiks cube’ bit. It’s a shame I have really enjoyed the game till now but this bit is just beyond me

Worst puzzle in the game..I even followed your instructions to the letter and I’m always missing 1 side...I hate these puzzles..completely stops the pacing in the game and makes the game unfun
Edit: I went back to the main menu which restarted the puzzle and I went extra slow and it worked the second time...thank you, so much for your guide!!

Thank you! This game was so much fun, but some of the puzzles could be very frustrating. I’m not sure why they added the cut scenes and dialogue to the game. The first version was a fun and solid game without any cut scenes or dialogue. And that last long ridiculous story at the end was unnecessary and made the actual end of the game feel short and anti-climactic. Thank you for your help and videos. They are helpful and fun to watch!
I just finished this game... I believe the voice acting on my iOS version was different for the final cutscene; maybe they changed it recently? I agree the cutscene is too long and makes the actual ending feel anti-climactic (also, how did those archers get to the library so quickly?) I also found the rubik's puzzle highly frustrating, especially right after the triangle puzzle. This game could have used an extra chapter or two.
I read here that a lot of people are having problems with the rubik’s cube part. I’ll try to give some tips, tho I’m not sure how understandable they are since I can’t show pictures or examples.
So most of you have probably made it to the point where you have three arrows and one blank space. The trick at this point is to have your remaining arrow on one of the sides, and not at the back of the cube. Also it needs to be in a space, that if you turn a wheel one time, the arrow will be at the right position (but of. course you will lose the one next to it, i’ll get to that). That means that, seen from the side, it needs to be in the same position that it needs to be at the front.
An example, to try to make it clearer: let’s say your blank space on the front is the bottom-right. Then the next step is to make sure that your remaining arrow is on the right side of the cube, in the bottom right position when seen from that side, so that if you turn the bottom part of the cube to the left, the arrow will also be in the bottom-right part, but at the front. The problem here of course, is that you also turn the bottom-left arrow to the side, so you’re stuck with the same problem again. Now here comes the trick, and this move will help you through the whole puzzle. Let’s say we’re back at the blank bottom-right situation. Now before you turn the bottom part of the cube to the left, you will turn the left part of the cube one turn up, so that the two arrows are on the top of the cube. Then you turn the bottom part of the cube to the left, so that the bottom-right arrow is in place, beneath the top-right one. Now turn the left part of the cube back down and tadaa, you will have the four arrows!
This move of turning one part of the cube away, then turning another part to the front and turning back your first part is the key to getting the puzzle solved. Also remember that you can’t solve the puzzle with your last arrow in the back, it should be on the side and in the same place where it’s going to be in the front! So if you get the the point of the three arrows, focus next on getting your remaining arrow in the right place on one of the sides and then use the three steps I explained to then get it to the front.
I hope this may help some to finish the game and not have to give up!

Fn 10 minute history story kinda ruined the ending...nice walk through, wasn't sure what to do with the round ring puzzle, thanks!
This ending is similar with The Room Old Sins ending sureounded in mistery by a secret order.
As always, another great walk-thru AppUnwrapper. I agree, the ending was out of place. The reason the voice acting was so terrible was because it was computer generated. Can't they get a real voice? I think the prose was A.I. generated as well. It was pretty gnarly. Otherwise another great game from Blue Brain.
‘Roger’ that. I don’t think it was AI though, I detected an Eastern European accent.

No complaint to AppUnwrapper', but the Rubik's cube puzzle is just awful. It needs some hint or Oculus help.

from what I can gather king Frederick was born and when he took the crown the people loved him more than the pope, the pope being jealous sent him to jerusalem to reclaim the holy land or be excommunicated. Being that the medieval era was superstitious and anything against the church was evil old freddy went there until a sandstorm broke out where he and his surviving men took shelter in a cave. While exploring said cave they came upon a strange device that acted like a portal, they took it home and once they learnt the secrets of the portal they used the knowledge to make sure he holy war was won peacefully. after this victory the people loved him and frederick ruled happily for a while until rumors spread that the portal was a gift of the devil, the evil pope used the ill informed rumors to excommunicate Frederick and exiled from his kingdom. Frederick embittered by this built a fortress to protect the portal and the knowledge he gained from it but with the price of his life as he became obsessed with learning more and more and more to the point where he spent his remaining years using the portal and learning all he could with his closest consorts who went on to form the order of justice until his death with the remaining members holding close their secrets.
least that's what I got, I suppose it's open for interpretation
I am irritated that they keep flipping between calling him Roger and Friedrich, was confused into thinking they were separate people

What a bizarre ending. I don't remember The Room making me sit through a 20-minute epic poem. But the rest of the game was pretty fun.

At 3:54 those hooks won’t stay open for me. As soon as I let go it closes on the triangle again. So I guess I’m done.
Cannot believe that ending - what a lot of rubbish - after all that - couldn't believe I sat for so long reading all that crap for nothing. Disappointed to say the least. Thank you though for all the help and tricks throughout.
Does anyone know where the ‘hidden ghost’ is in chapter 5? There’s a Game Center achievement for it and it’s one of two I still need. The other one I need is ‘hoarder’ where you have to have 5 inventory items in your possession at once.
Edit: never mind just found the ghost achievement... it if anyone knows how to carry 5 items in your inventory I’d much appreciate

It would help if you explained what you are trying to do with a puzzle instead of just doing it (like the one with the wheel on the left). You don't talk enough. I had no idea what the objective was...I didn't want to cheat, but just wanted to know what the goal was
I cannot get the metal piece behind the wooden slide on the rail in the very beginning. I am on iPad. I have tried both hands and simply cannot get it 🤬🤬🤷♀️
It seems a little buggy sometimes. Takes a few taps before it lets me grab it.

looking at this im nearly put off finishing the game, the puzzles are a little too frustrating for me and since when does a first person movement in a game feel like gliding around like a ghost with controled camera angles. the game is ok this is just a bit of a put off.

Phew, after restarting the game, it moved up.
It took me 13 hours to beat it.

The way to do it is to have the two triangles up top done first and u are done
Lol I agree it’s boring but I dont think the voice actor is terrible...not great but yea..they focused wayyyy too much on the history aspect which no one cares about...I would much rather just hear about da Vinci and his findings/inventions...the cutscenes were well done, but why do I need that information? Bad choice on the devs part. Combine the da Vinci historical part with the intrigue/mystery part like the first game.
Agree. The first game had a separate section to learn more about the polymath. It was much more engaging. I don’t think the voice actor’s first language is English, which was very evident. He did have a soothing voice though! So soothing I fell asleep in the middle of the cut scene ;)

Urrrrgh this level was so beyond annoying!! Their endings are always annoying. But the game was fun. The last cut scene literally put me to sleep. I intend to play it each time I’m struggling to sleep...

13:29 Solution to sunray on III is a bullshit. There is no way anyone can figure this out from the sketch design in such a poor manner. Also Hints in the game and atrocious. Most of the times i figured it all by myself then trying to figure out what the hell hint meant. Jesus christ in heaven!
If you trace the sunbean from the door 3 backwards it bounces back in completly different pattern so the actual "correct" setup is a lie. How would anyone figure that out from the sketch in the book?
