Vshojo 100% does Nepotism hires. That’s fine. I just don’t like the denial of it. Just say: “Yes, we do” it works for your group.
To prove a point the upcoming recruit will be non nepo. Yes if mint applies they she won't be the next one get in to make a statement 😜
that is even worse because they are doing auditions
@@mranonymous00 I don't think it's worse, being honest is way better than getting peoples hopes up. Calling it "auditions" is the real problem imo. They prob shoulda just said: "Apply to get added to a list of potential candidates, but nothings guaranteed."
Thing is the nepo hires also make sense as a talent hire. They're friends who make good numbers with very few rivalling them. So even if they weren't friends, they'd still be hired.
So there's a degree of plausible deniability.
people often shout nepotism when they don't understand what they're talking about. can't really take such people serious
Well, holo have mainland Chinese fans, but some of them expressed concerns about hololive going back to China. They certainly does not want a repeat of all those shitshow, and I'm a Chinese myself - peace is a priority.
Thank you for your information
They just do one time event on blibli tho...
Why everyone so overreacting.
Yeah. I feel this is more on "making peace" than "appeal to crowd"
@@BeforeON3well, Coco harassment and stuff happens there are terrible and annoying, even for 4chan standard. Those trolls were overreacting first.
Going back to CN is another incident waiting to happen
This was my worry when Hololive went public, they have to follow share holder demands to expand and "growth". Hopefully, best case scenario is nothing happens and worst case scenario is something happen but not too bad and Cover give up on the Chinese market because of how volatile it is.
I see this as Hololive back to CN or Chinese speaking fans for the sake of their genuine loyal Hololive fans. Whether you like it or not, there are still many loyal fans. Who also defended Hololive talents when they were attacked by the CN antis. But I doubt Cover will doing long term business in there. Just selling the merchs for the Chinese speaking fans and let just Kobo doing stream at B2.
True… and I’m here for it!
Hololive fans will seethe when bts there are talents who wants that market. It's naive to think that these talents don't know business. What you should want is for Cover management to have proper support system and response in case the bad happens. It's not just from China nationalist as well as from Western activists.
Asking a company to give up on an ecomnomy housing 1 billion people is just plain idiotic. Like it or not, companies in order to compete they have to enter the chinese market. Same with the Indian Market.
While I don't think Hololive returning to Chinese media is going to be the best idea for them and their talents, It's been over 3 years since the incident, yet we also must remember that Hololive is still universally loved by the Chinese internet so it would be kind of weird to not give back to the people in China, so I assume this is why they are doing this, even if it means taking risks. At the end of the day the talents need money to continue what they love doing, I'm pretty sure I remember seeing a pie chart on what money received to Hololive talents via superchat goes towards and I remember a large majority of it going back to the talents themselves as well as other ones possibly, so I wouldn't be surprised if for other methods of profit they would also go back to the talents, so it's best not to jump to conclusions and just see what happens. The rest I can say is that I will be supporting the talents nonetheless and wish for their safety. It also kind of reminds me when Red Velvet (k-pop girl group) performed in North Korea in a sense lol
It's more like Cover want to make peace to everyone/ not making enemies. Yeah, even to AH and jerks.
I mean if they keep avoiding Chinese market, it's not good for future business. I do hope they tread more carefully
I understand what is Hololive doing but I still doubt Chinese internet.
@@hafirenggayudanot good for business? China’s economy is going downhill. From a failing streaming market, to a huge housing crisis.
@@roeypalmspaghetti1072 they're still the biggest market vtuber can get, unironically so
There any truth about the hard cap of screen time for Chinese youth? And if so, follow-up question would be how strict/ ease to bypass the censors?
Honestly, VShojo should just rebrand as something more like a Mythic Talent, rather than a Hololive, if that makes sense. If their only goal is to support creators who are already large, they should just own that and stop pretending to be similar to other VTuber agencies who bring up aspiring creators.
I don't think so, their brand is still VTuber agency just using western standard (no exclusivity, IP belong to talent, talent freedom, work for the talent, instead talent work for them). And I dont think they will ever sell non vtuber merchs.
It's just because they don't own the IP and collab with a lot of Indies even letting them in their minecraft server, make them different than traditional vtuber agency. For example, if Holo justice joins vshojo instead hololive, they dont have to use new IP. And people immediately knows that 3 out of 4 of them already collab with VShojo one way or another. People complain about Haruka, but she is similar with Raora size before Holojustice, she is a winner of audition and totally merited. Probably using new IP make it seems that she is brand new, but clearly, she has plenty of experience. I dont really want to say this but it's an 'Illusion under new IP'.
You're not wrong, they would still be seen as a major Vtuber Corpo too because the people in the company would all be high profile talents. Personally though I see them shifting to a model more like OTK or OTV, sort of what they've got going right now honestly, hiring friends and people they know are on the rise. It's boring and safe but it's people already within their friend group so the vibes of the Corpo won't really change and a lot of people are really digging the Vibes of the current Vshojo.
@@HassanSabbaku Well they can still do that too, Like VShojo is a type of agency who doesn't do waves and give 'breathing room' for new talent. They also can become agency that mixing Audition then Invitation then audition.
Different than traditional vtuber agency that rarely do collab with outside, the non-winner of audition can still become collab list if they are entertaining enough but can't pass audition due to limited slot. And probably can be invited in the future after they increase staff size
Mythic talent only supports with sponsors. Vs managers supports talents with sponsors thumbnails manicures wet wipes, everything!
Damn i really hope hololive knows what they're doing
The reason why the current era Vshojo works so well is because they all have that tight bond, so it’s completely understandable if they pick someone that already has a following and is close to them. But I genuinely hate this logic that opening auditions is pointless.
For some reason people think that this somehow operates differently from a typical job position: obviously the more qualified people are most likely to get the job, that doesn’t mean you can’t apply and get your foot in the door. There is finally an opening for Vshojo to get their eyes on you without working your way through the layers of niche friend groups and you’re gonna waste your chance by complaining about it? Make it make sense.
If they hire someone that nobody knows and they don’t mesh with the other talents, these people will say it’s an L. If they hire someone bigger who’s a friend, then it’s an L. If they don’t open auditions at all, then it’s an L. This is only controversial because there are so many idiots who don’t understand how a good business operates.

Only salty failure whined about nepohiring. Nepohiring is rampant even in HOLOLIVE, let alone Nijisanji. Nepotism isn't just about connection but knowing how well someone can perform in a work which gives them advantage even in objective assessment. And in an entire industry found based on internet clout, people thinking clout is a dirty word are deluded.
19:40 they've gotten talents like Geega and Haruka who, while entertaining, haven't been what one would consider a "diamond in the rough", personally I do feel them sticking to hiring their friends or those they at least have an acquaintance with it probably the best way to go, but also hiring skilled ex-pros they don't know that well for example Chinami Doku a very skilled JP streamer that some might recognise, she has the exact type of humor that jells right in with Vshojo, as far as I know she has never had much if any contact with any of the members in Vshojo yet I'm like 90% sure she'd fit right in with that group. This should be the type of Vtubers Vshojo should be looking to hire, numbers are important too, if they hire a no name that better be one helluva no name honestly or else it'll be a huge blow to the company's PR/Image.
Honestly Mata all the ex niji members were more diamonds in the rough than haruka. I think should just keep hiring ex-corpo members that were suppressed by their companies.
Like hiring geega and haruka didn't change anyone's content, like at all, what's the point.
Vshojo deserves the reputation because that’s literally what they’ve been doing mostly. I’m not saying it’s the bad thing, but it’s only natural to think they will hire their talent’s friend.
So many people get mad when they don't join VSJ, but I haven't heard of anyone starting their own group...
The way Zentreya written that she had to push for management to open an audition. Make me if I'm a potential recruit feel that I'm actually not wanted nor needed. Kinda kill the motivation I say.
Am I remembering things wrong here but
1) VShojo did have an open audition call in the past
2) then Months went past and no one heard anything
3) Nux taku then releases a video that there are a group doxing vtubers pretending to be replying audition
4) VShojo claims to have been communicating with law enforcement, limiting what they can say , having hired a security company which gave Nux the go ahead to release his video
5) Some of the VShojo members panic as they feel that they are more likely to be targeted.
6) Drama sphere explodes
7) Lesson learned do not do auditions
Nuxtard interfered in the investigation to give himself clout in the Vtuber sphere and give his own Vtuber project Mythos a boost by leeching off Vshojo. Which failed, the scammers got away because the investigators had to drop the case and his harem still has low views and subs. He didn't have permission at all he just unilaterally did things on his own colonizer level ego.
VShojo and Hololive totally different kind of culture, Hololive have to use new IP, VShojo doesnt have to new IP. You can't expect indies in Hololive minecraft server, you see indies in minecraft server. If for example Holojustice joins VShojo using their previous avatar people still using Nepotism accusation, 3 of them already collab with VShojo in the past. And also, of you look at Raora, her previous life is similar size to Haruka, it should give people at glance how established a talent should be. Haruka is clearly a winner of the audition. People expect announcement 'The winner of audition is ...', Hololive doesnt even do that. It is probably due to illusion under new avatar. It's totally different culture, VShojo already collab with tons of indies, and has large grasp on VTuber indie community unintentionally because they do tons of collaboration.
The winner is *Mythic Talent*
@@AndeKanata Nah the winner is clearly United Talent, they have athlete, singer and comedian too.
Nepotism doesn’t mean hiring known vtubers, it means hiring friends. You are confusing the two things. Hololive hiring people that used to be vtubers has nothing to do with nepotism, hololive’s managment aren’t friends with the people they hire. Matara, Kuro, Henya, and that chick that was friends with Kuro when they were both in Niji. THAT’S nepotism.
I love Kanata and FBK. But.... Cough cough Coco x Kanata cough cough HoloGamers.
Hololive absolutely does nepohiring. The Dogs and Kiara as prime example.
It's just that the requirement is far more stringent and there are a lot more repeat applicants. Fuwamoco and Bijou both 3 times rejected prior.
Just because nepotism is involved doesn't mean qualification is unneeded.
I am gonna wait for [vshojo Nousagi ]
Nousagi is a fandom name registered for Usada Pekora ™️. He needs another name.
I was originally cautiously optimistic/neutral to Hololive returning to China but based on recent events and talk on 5chan it has lead to at least one talent getting doxed (one of my oshis as well) so I am now quite worried about it. Though the damage has already been done in this case.

To be honest, I think it's a mix of both
Because it does require skills, so it being full gacha is wrong
But you also need to be lucky no one else that fits their criteria better than you applies. As talent is not the only factor, but you also need to fit the "archetype" their looking for. Even if you're more talented that everyone else, if they don't have a character for you, you (probably) won't get taken

I'd say one important part, which would apply to real life jobs as well, is to make the company think they need you. Really push forward what you could bring(which Rin more or less said=
Speaking of Rin, I think the edit is fineish? It is a lot, but it's borderline I'd say. It's relevant at least, and the subtitles have more than one word each (I've seen some and those are really obnoxious)
Also she said it herself that she talks really fast (which honestly I don't find shocking) so it doesn't help (and the format, as being really short, doesn't help as you need to put as many info as you can)
Much of the vtuber application advice is also good for any job interview. Don't be an a-hole, act confident, show every aspect of you in the most positive possible way and avoid rambling.

So DN you do admit that you are a Vshojo **********
