How do you earn your penny sweet and football sticker money?
I was lucky enough to retire to Thailand at 50, I worked in music. Been subbed for a couple of years to the channel and enjoy your vids but I have to be honest, I have never washed my own car and I have no intention of starting now!
Hopefully doing as you do, a workplace injury has left me in need of a career change. Are you available for some advice?
With washing the neighbors car for 30 pounds actually.... However that does include in- and exterior.
Well if we're talking about penny sweets then you and I both know the customer having their very old fiesta cleaned is within the 60+ age range, but I do have a customer who is 78 years old who lives across the street and I tend to his car and have all the moss within all cracks, it to sits outside on his drive for the most part but I make sure to do the absolute best in cleaning it up to make it spotlessly clean both inside and out and apply a sealant which lasts 6+ months, obviously the paint work is kept for the most part, nice except the lower portions due to our lovely British weather but it does help and anyone in the know will see it's protected, I last cleaned his vehicle around 5 months ago now but I actually have a good view of it from my window and it's looking clean as if I just did it, that's how much he drives it, I do get told every time it looks brand new from when he purchased it from the dealer so although it's not the price I would charge others for the valet, having and keeping him happy for a car that looks clean and protected gives me a sense of joy others wouldn't give so I'm happy to reduce the price as his gratitude exceeds any monetary value.
Duckin' and divin'.
I'd rather watch an old fiesta get cleaned over a spotless mirror shine reflection ferrari get washed
More realistic
Agreed.
Also, the Fiesta was properly dirty. Its the before and after difference that makes it satisfying to watch.
Would love to see a full paint correction on this old girl.
@@bfisch81 me too.
This is so much better than watching you clean a brand new car.
Not for me it ain’t!
@@CarCleaningGuru come on guru you love it really
Car Cleaning Guru it’s because it requires more work lol
@@CarCleaningGuru Accept it Guru, you enjoy it for the satisfactory result
With his 10+ valet skills, I thought it WAS a brand-new car!
This car had so much plant matter on it probably had negative carbon footprint lmao.
Dr. Pavel I'm CIA It’s vegan
Dr. Pavel I'm CIA this is definitely in the top 5 RUclips comments of all time ever
Detail job cost more then the car

@@throwaq7870 Thx for the english lesson
25k in 20 years, that's ridiculously low milage lol.
CannibalShadow the old dear get the drill out after every shopping trip wind back that clock
I've a 1982 car and its only got 59,000 from new with ever single MOT cert and a folder full of work done by Vauxhall showing the millage car only did 2k or so a year.
Just shy of 3.5 miles a day. Does the car even get used haha?
I put on 30k km per year minimum and the wife puts on more.
I don't think I'd even want a car if I only needed one for 2k a year
There's an X reg corsa with nearly 9k on the clock, I think it had about 200 miles a year, one year I think it had 1000ish put on it though
That's actually MINT for a 20yo grocery getter
25k miles .. so not surprissed actually
@ Also to add these Fiestas rust really bad, I used to own one 6 years a go and the MOT tester was shocked it wasn't rotten.
Grocery getter 😂😂😂
I'm guessing it's a station car and their other car mentioned is somewhat more exotic!
@@wetlettuce4768
In my experience everything from France rusts really bad. Except for the new stuff.
My sister in law got a fiesta. You were able to dismantle the parts without any tools..
i never succeed in predicting when he is going to stop his sentence.
Overly wordy sentences. Like martial arts movies being dubbed in english.
Spot on :D
😂😂
Now THIS is epic content.
Birds chirping, Fantastic cinematography, no annoying music.
Keep it up guru!
Some side by side before and afters would be amazing too 🖤
This gets less miles on it a year than most of the exotics you feature.
Love the 'Regular Car Guru' episodes. Something 'normal' is so much more enjoyable to watch than a garaged show queen for some reason. One of my go to videos is still your OG Guru Volvo detail.
Love that cable tie, 20+ hp
Gotta have at least one cable tied trim!
@@garylee4371 Prefer the look of just bare rims, give em a good brake dust clean and nearly all normal rims look better than some clip on plastics.
@@garylee4371 I see some on the city streets several times a year!
Lovely car! We love these models in Brasil, but its very difficulty find one with 2 doors. Um abraço.
Just checked the car out on MOT checker, thing only does 500 miles a year, that's a proper granny "to the shops once a week" car lol
never realized how dirty my computer screen was until i watch you clean a white car for 17 minutes lol
You're a sweetheart! I actually prefer these videos though! Something warm and fuzzy about watching an old, dirty car received some love and affection! ☺️♥️
This is so cool. For me, the moment when I become truly invested/interested in a car is after I clean it for the first time.
@@Otto-AutoPilot sorry you had that experience, not all with be like that! But yes, there is definitely a 'honeymoon' phase after buying a car..
Watched this.
Felt guilty.
Went and washed my car in the dark!
uncooked ham that escalated quickly😬
Little gem that car. Love how it's still got the original dealer plates
Lovely to see an old classic brought back to life. This now looks better than most 3 year old festa’s. Be nice to see this with one of your full restorations.
I just realized why I like your videos so much there's plenty of satisfying detailing videos out there but the editing on your videos and voice over really just bring them to another level I don't think anybody else takes that type of extra time like you do guru
I'll second that. My favourite detailing channel by a mile
A video by car guru, Just what I need after 68hrs of working my butt off!! Listening to his mesmerising commentary and watching a quality car cleaning video, relaxes me and melts away the stresses of the week.
You don’t see many fords of that age in such rust free good condition.
One thing I appreciate a lot is your dedication to alliterative combinations of adjective + noun. Always a delight!
only channel on youtube that i can sit down for any length of time watching a guy clean cars.
The Detail Geek does not work for you ?
@@ritahorvath8207 never heard of them, will need to check it out.
My first car was a V reg fiesta. Washed it every weekend it was my pride and joy. Thanks for the blast from the past!
You know it’s going to be a good day when you immediately watch a just-posted CCG video at 4:30 in the morning! Great work as always sir!
That’s dedication.
Car Cleaning Guru I see a notification you posted a video, I’m watching!
This video had a very relaxing effect on me, but also got me anxious for Spring to come so I can wash mine by hand again. Cheers!
I know others have already said this but I enjoyed this video much more than videos featuring cars many of us can only dream of owning. 🤓👍
On older cars with flat paintwork I've started using Angelwax's Blue Rinse. After the final rinse spray it over the whole car through a snow foam lance and its hydrophobic qualities will immediately start reducing the surface water and at the same time add a layer of protection. Let it dwell for a few minutes then dry as normal. It's durable too lasting at least 4-6 weeks at this time of year.
I had a couple of moss caterpillars in my 16 years old Polo, I felt sad having to evict them but I'm sure they were rehomed soon 👍🚙
This is actually my favorite. Seeing all the mold get cleaned from the cracks is so satisfying. I never get to see anything like that because I live in a desert.
My ma actually owns a 98 fiesta and we've loved it ever since, this is just amazing to watch.
My first car was a 97 fiesta 1.25 zetec I loved it keep fit windows and keep fit steering!! Alas the timing belt snapped due to me not being able to afford a new belt
I find myself watching your videos not just due to the content but I find your commentary (voice) soothing and trustworthy.
I had a 1996 Mk4 fiesta for my first car!
Was so much fun, 6x9’s on the parcel shelf and 10 inch sub in the boot lol.
Nice vid always good to see some variety. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
That’s so reminiscent of washing my caravan. Plenty of green, and crud around the inside of the windows. It was just missing the black streaks! Brilliant video, lovely little Fiesta there. I reckon it’s begging for a machine polish in spring.
Well done!
You certainly gave the owner value for money! 😃👍💯
I wish there was someone with attention to detail, amazing products and a passion for it like you local to me . I've just bought a used car and it needs a right good detailing inside and out.
There will be.
Have to say considering the age of the car its looking good for its age. Looking forward to seeing your Z soon 😁
Great work! You deserve a community award for doing it for that money. Seriously though, it is great to see business men like you doing good things for the community. Great to see a motor like this getting a thorough job. 👍
It might only be a humble fiesta but I would love to see a full valet inc engine/arches/interior etc. Keep up the good work as always
Its fab watching you do a more affordable day to day car for a change. I imagine most people who watch your videos are like me, seeing how we can apply the tips and products on our pride and joy. to see them done on a similar car is great. Keep up the fab work and look forward to your next video
I don’t know why, but somehow watching “old” daily drivers getting cleaned up is way more satisfying than new sports cars.
Don't get me wrong I enjoy your videos with the fancy cars, but thoroughly enjoyed this! Took me back to when I had a MK4 fiesta, cleaning it almost every week learning new techniques by scrolling through detailing forums. Thanks for sharing.
I’d love to see this get a cut and polish. Great job tho as always!
With it being a single paint flat jobbie I'd love to see some ceramic coating on it. Would really lift the car even though the paint is old and swirled.
Why is this the most satisfying thing I've seen all month?
All that crap coming out of the window seals and roof trim was porn.
Lmao! Agreed. There's something about that which is awesome to me. Every 'new' car I acquire I'm simultaneously annoyed, delighted and satiated by scooshing out all the years worth of crap out the unloved arches, especially the rears!
kinky
No longer Festy Fiesta. Great work my friend.
I ended up buying those Vikan long handled brushes after seeing them.
Awesome turn around.
I'm amazed how good the arches on this are! They're usually the first thing to (quite literally) disappear due to the good ol' Ford Corrosion. :D
If it has been washed quarterly, then it has been washed about every 300 miles lol
@@rkan2 Ye but doesn't stop the corrosion, it usually happens on the inside of the arches and works it's way out, or when stones flick up, it chips the paint around the arch and allows corrosion to set in. Along the sills underneath as well, they get a fair bit of standing water and corrode.
It might be a little old and a little ordinary, but I LOVE this shape of Fiesta. I'd sooner own and drive this than the Nissan 350Z in the background. Great job bringing it up to a respectable standard with enviable ease. You always make these jobs look so much easier than they are. Thank you for posting, i love to see the older "pride and joy" cars take a bath.
You have the most british accent Ive ever heard, I love it
I'd happily pay this guy to clean my car. Nice to see someone genuinely enjoying what they do. Great video good skills.
so nostalgic for me, i had a fiesta like that as my first car more then 10 years ago.
It wasnt the coolest car, but i made sure the paint was perfect tho.
Back when your first car drove like a go cart, I feel for the new drivers of today having to buy overweight and under powered cars that have had any fun engineered out of them.
Wet Lettuce luckily you dont have to buy a new car as your first 😄
Doesn’t matter what car it is, you’re videos are always satisfying as hell. In fact, the older cheaper dirtier cars are more satisfying because you really see a massive difference
more regular cars please :)
It's so much more satisfying watching some old economy car get thoroughly deep cleaned for the first time in 20 years than some new and well maintained sports car.
thats doing well for such a old fiesta, most of those have no rear arches left now
I had one of these as my first car, a 1999 5 door Ghia 1.25. Wood dash trim, electric windows & mirrors, colour coded bumpers, 4 speaker cassette, heated front screen, air con and front fogs.
I had an immense amount of fun in that car. Quite an adequate amount of power even in today's terms. 75hp out of 1200cc is impressive especially as the engine originated in 1996.
That car taught me a lot and I did 30/40000+ miles in the 3 years I had it. Brilliant fun and would consider one again as a cheap hack.
Kids these days don't need a brand new turbo car on finance once they pass their test. A basic little car like this is safe enough and will make them appreciate modern cars more.
If this costs £20 then come do mine, I’ll give you £30 😂
I don't think it's £20/30. Maybe around £ 100
Name Name is I mean, that is what the title suggests! I know it isn’t accurate, the sarcasm appears to have gone over your head!
@@JOPOV Actually, it is accurate. He *did* specify that this was done for an older, long time customer and he doesn't charge so cheaply usually.
What a great valet for 20 quid. Deffo a committed valet...... actually really likes this video that was a proper deep clean. Could literally see the dirty water rinsing off.
Doesn't have to be a fancy car to be some ones pride and joy and I bet the owner appreciates that level of valet very much.
I’ve just watched this video in its entirety, dunno why, not the sort of video I watch. But I was glued!
It's like a documentary on cars in the wild.
I always love your videos!!! This was very satisfying to watch, something about seeing a really old, dirty car getting a proper cleaning. Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thereputic, really enjoyed a run of the mill car having some TLC.
Oh hell, this Fiesta is 20 years old now!!! 10 years ago when I was 5 this was once my dream car!! How time flies!!!
This is what i thought AMSR was supposed to be.
The Guru at his best. I am sure the water eco loons are only out for a few hours and will be back in daycare tomorrow. We need to see more of you and more like this! You are the best detailer on You Tube amigo!
gawd, the moss on this car! it just keeps coming! I was honestly laughing at all the green that kept coming off the car. it must have been 50 pounds lighter after the wash
I think I need you to give my 52 reg Mondeo a once over lol. These old Ford's love growing greenery, great video thanks! My favourite detailer on RUclips! Keep up the good work!
Brother, I'm gonna be honest here. I'm just here for your voice, it's 1 am, I dont even own a pressure washer, or clean my car ever.
More often it's nicer to watch the Bread'n Butter jobs that all the high end fancy cars(which are nice as well). Sometimes going that extra little bit on that 20yr fiesta does make a huge difference and more appealing to us watching.
Keep up the good work and I hope your Granny likes her clean car :)
12:02 she look happy about your job x)
Your videos are very therapeutic to watch! Thank you!
I don't think anyone has cleaned any fiesta that thoroughly even when they were new
I beg to differ, I own one identical to it and get every nook and cranny. W reg, sitting just over 31K, best car I've ever owned and gets pampered every weekend 😊.
Good to see the old girl getting some love . it’ll be a classic one day especially with low mileage
I want to buy an old “simple” car now and keep it my whole life and wash it like this lol 😅😂
You should do it, lol, I own an identical one and I love it so much. Gets a good bath every weekend!
Saxo is a good bet!
That's beautiful work my friend.
Hi guru, good to see u back.
You have put some new life into the old and still good looking Fiesta.
I see the "old" V40 is still kicking it in the background. :)
Timestamp?
@@qlus 7:16, right at the end of the video to the left on the street. ;)
I think that's a v50
@@qlus Nah, definitely a V40. At 4:04 you can even see it a bit better, also has the Arcadia wheels like it had in all the videos.
@@skookum_ahc I thought those were medusa wheels?
This might just be my opinion, but I would love if you did videos reviewing Car valet places around the UK. I find it hard to find a car valet place that goes into detail and provides an outcome like you do! I find it really satisfying to watch your videos so please keep it up! :D
7:32 that's an entire ecosystem collapsing.
Absolutely gorgeous original Fiesta with very low mileage.Love it.
06:50 is about the most satisfying thing I've ever seen
'moss caterpillars'...awesome. Great clean on a 20yr old motor 👍
Theres not much I wouldn't watch you clean mate.
Steady on 🤣🤣
This lads voice is soooo soothing and could easily be on TV talking to babies! Thanks for another great video
Pls make a video of a land rover discovery 2 detail🔥
Whats craziest to me is how different English is all around the globe. Great work on a car that currently cost less than that detail job! Subscribing for more.
I was expecting the fiesta badge to blow off when he hit it with the pressure washer lol
Hahaha I was waiting for that!
It would look even better with some new number plates! Great job, love it
Damn never been this early to a vid
Very satisfying , I used to love cleaning the farm cars when they looked beyond help .
So my Gf owns a Blue Fiesta 2003 (Betsie) that she has owned from new, only 37k, same steel wheels and all. So yesterday after the winter chills i done this process to it yesterday.
Then I get the notice of a New CCG video and you done the same thing.
As Doc Brown said "Great Scott"
Got this recommended and I have to say it was so satisfying, subscribed and can’t wait for more
I can watch and listen to the Guru clean cars all day long.
i never knew i would enjoy watching videos of that kind. Thanks yt for the recomendation and thx CCG for the content :)
some great products here, I totally recommend the Koch Chemie Finish Spray Exterior (Fse) I use this on my car after the wash and dry, it removes 90% of all the water spots, its ace. After FSE you can do your wax/polish/sealant, whatever you normally do.
Real world valeting, especially if there are a lot of trees about. It's amazing how many customers I get that have cars in that condition or worse that are a lot newer yet only book my entry level valet. Saying that I had a customer, until she moved away a couple of years ago, who had a red VW Polo on a W plate with 18k on the clock that was mint and lived in a garage. Nice vid 👍
I used the same shape x reg fiesta for my driving school. I had many happy hours being bounced around Oswestry in one of them before I upgraded to the focus. One thing about that fiesta, good little car in the snow, it just used to keep going while everything around me had come to a stand still.
Far more satisfying to see this getting a good wash than a car the price of a house in already mint condition getting a unnecessary detail. Back to basics stuff.
Cars don't bother me particularly and I'm not too bothered how mine looks, but watching someone do a job where they obviously care about the result and know what they're doing is a big thumbs up.
A great video on an everyday car, hope you make a few similar videos for those of us who enjoy detailing and don’t own super cars.
