I have many dolls that I have never displayed Marie Osmond, Dolly Dingle,Campbells and others and would love to sell them. Thanks for having this wonderful woman on.
Maida is AMAZING! I love this doll segment! I started collecting dolls twelve years ago in my old age. Didn't know much about them I just wanted some dolls in my possession. I had one doll growing up. We were too poor. i actually started off with those Victorian dolls from Target ( you know, the ones Maida said to stay away from Porcelain Collectors lol), they're still in boxes unopened and sitting in storage. Now I've graduated to Barbies and other character dolls and Artist dolls. I'm now surrounded by all types dolls, some I don't have a clue what they are. I now have over 300 dolls. Shows like this made my day. Thank you very much Kathy and Maida. Keep up the good work
Oh what a joy to learn so much about dolls with Maida Webster today Kathy! So true that a room full of dolls can be a little creepy with all of those eyes looking at you! What a wonderful niche to get into! And I so agree with Maida - having an actually book on hand is a wonderful resource! Great online groups and more - but having that library gives you a minute to have a cup of hot tea and do a little research - Time we all need! A delightful chat Kathy!
"Maida's Little Shop" was my very favorite book when I was a child. I found an original copy in an antique store about 30 years ago. I loved reading it again.
I have some Yolanda Bellos porcelian dolls with their boxes. They are vintage and with their boxes are selling for over $100, also have a porcelian Thumbalina going for $200 +. These dolls were made in the 80s and 90s. Not that old yet. I have a Thumbelina doll from the 80s that doubled in price in 1 yr. I also have a Thumbelina with box and book work from 1961 worth $800. She still works. Still haven't started selling them yet. It is a fun hobbie.
I havent touched anything- but yes if you posted personal information- Google would remove it to protect you. Your best bet to reach good customer service- is message eBay for business Facebook business page. Im so sorry youre having a rough time - they are your best bet and will answer you.
