- Paul and I went on a doll shopping adventure here we live in Littleton, Colorado. Stick around to see what we find (or don't find!) at the sale, plus a peek into what we are working on at the shop and see some of Paul's newest American Girl dolls.

oh that was fun! I am a big American girl collector and that was so much fun to see Felicity and Samantha! Molly's outfit! I have a white bodied Kirsten doll that was my first ever American Girl doll from when I was little. I did recently refurbish her. As she went through my childhood haha. The AG dolls are so fun to collect! And if you know what you are looking for, you can get some great deals off facebook marketplace and thrift stores! I recently found three or four AG dolls at my local thrift shops! :)

Love the dolls. I have an older Felicity and a bunch of Molly's clothes in my collection. He has more dolls than me. Although I'm get teased by my family. I would have to have emptied my checking account I would have wanted the furniture and the doll carriages. Probably the teasets, too.
This was fun. I'm glad that you went out twice just to see what was left. It was also cool that you basically said I don't need anything. Can't wait to hear Paul present at the Virtual Doll Convention. I have collected a few Pleasant Company dolls over the past few years. ☺

I can certainly understand your wanting to see how dolls are selling in an estate sale situation. It's such a measure for you of your own business. The mommy and me doll is amazing. I have this obsession with “family “ doll characters. The Heart Family from Mattel is my favorite . That estate sale was huge for doll lovers. Also if there was a job that paid with dolls I would be the first in line ( after Paul of course )

My mum gave mine away when I left home :-:/ so this has inspired me to look for her replacement on eBay! Mine was blonde with a blue top and yellow dungarees! Xx

And I really would have LOVED the Estate Sale prices of $10.00 to $5.00 for those Effanbee Dolls💖💖 which for me are so nostalgic because my Late Grandfather bought me 2 Effanbee Dolls!! Also, I really 💖💖LOVE Barbie Dolls💖💖 and for $5.00 to $10.00 a Doll that is an outstanding price, especially since they were in their original boxes!!! And I so LOVE those❤❤ American Dolls because I love Dolls and history❤❤!! Samantha is such a beautiful American Doll too🧡🧡!! And I LOVE🧸🧸 Teddy Bears 🧸🧸as much as Disney Plush💜💜 and therefore I can not wait until 🧸🧸John Paul Port🧸🧸 gives us a history lesson too!! Totally loved this and YES, I wish I could have been there. Would have been fun to know about this estate sale in advance. I would have made the 10 hr trip over the mountain by car. (and could have visited my brother and his family while there) I totally understand Paul. have a large collection of Pleasant Co./American Girl dolls and keep buying more. They are MOSTLY affordable and delightful looking. I buy the dolls I like rather than what I think will be collectable. Love what you do. Thanks again for the FUN video.

I like the doll on the table sitting up the porcelain doll with drown hair on a porcelain doll . I do believe she had a white dress. I would buy it.

It IS interesting that much of the estate sale sold but they can't push the 8" Alexander Around The World dolls! Not crazy about those orange price stickers. NO, you are not "strange", but do look like a criminal going "undercover". Or possibly security. I have my eye on those 4 1950s MA Little Women dolls for $400. Would they be $200 at the half price at the end of the estate sale? But they must have gone way before...
As a man I was completely taken by Paul's trip to the swap meet, amusement park, "diner" w/ the bad food - everything, and his hunt for the AG doll! Is Paul new at the shop? R, you have such great comradery with everyone! It is quite incredible the investment American Girl has made in their product. In another post I mentioned The Grove in Los Angeles with their 3 story American Girl store. On one floor is an actual beauty parlor where a girl's doll can have her hair restyled! Outrageous. Going on all around the country? Is AG as popular as ever? AG would not be as big as Mattel but would you say it supersedes pricy Alexander in its heyday? The American Girl products are very expensive. I do not go to the Grove very often but i can say that every single time I have walked around I ALWAYS see a few little girls walking around holding a newly purchased doll in their arms, as opposed to wrapped up in packaging. The mother's extravagance!

Do you still sell dolls online? I know it’s a whole other job, but I live in Ohio so getting my way over to Colorado is a hop, skip and a jump!
We hope to list more in 2023. Right now, our way of making money is our subscription but we will do more vintage and antique dolls in the next year. Happy New Year!
