Honestly this was very much needed here on youtube because the other video of this game posted on here is unwatchable because the guy who played it quick saves every 5 seconds.
Most of the walkthroughs posted of this game are bad, with stretched or cropped widescreen instead of the intented 4:3 aspect ratio and the players generally being poorly skilled and taking forever to do even basic actions Someday I'm gonna record an all-cutscenes compilation when I play the game again, because the only other video is missing multiple cutscenes and plays it stretched
Before recording, usually replay a game 1-2 times, trying to remember enemy positions and puzzles. I'm not a big fan of "blind gameplays", in most cases, ignore that kind of videos. Thanks for watching my video 😄 !
one of the best games ever, newer ones can´t introduce the player into the experience like this one. The environments, music, sound effects.... master art from the real and extinct lucas arts.
Lol. I always loved how (despite the likelihood of it being bitterly cold) Indiana just threw on a leather jacket when he went to Kazakhstan. I'm also surprised the river wasn't frozen over.
Ha I remember there was a cheat code you could use that made the water solid. Completely trivialize the river rapids part of the game. That part was so frustrating.
Thanks for this nostalgia trip, which gave me both joy but also sadness as my father (who has passed away since many years back now) loved this game and I myself was glued to his side when he played this. I also appreciate that you put in the effort to fix text into what they say in the game. Thanks again alot.
I'm sorry for your loss 😢 . Try not to have sad memories only, remember the times of happy father when he passed the difficult level or when he proudly figured out how to solve confusing riddles.
Remarkable and breathtaking Indiana Jones game. The Tower of Babel, Etemenanki and Nebuchadnezzar's Great Engine seem to be the same thing entirely in different interpretations. I believe the Great Engine was really a fragment of the cyberspace reality known as the Aetherium. When the Machine is switched on, it merges with the rest of the Aetherium and becomes one. Even though Marduk is depicted as the creator god of Babylon, maybe the Aethereal deity's influence on Babylon served the city as a representative or embassy on Earth. I also believe Marduk's universe could be in a style similar to Halo. If this was a movie, it would be my favorite one in the franchise, probably my favorite story!
interesting how the PC version has high quality sound effects yet the N64 version has better quality music and they both have the same quality voice samples.
God... I both love and hate this game, so much nostalgia back when I was still a small child, watching my mom play it for hours and hours. Yet moments like 1:06:00 are the reason why im so afraid of spiders now 😢
Played that game a long time when I was young, never finished because of I occasionally stuck on progress and searched for puzzle solutions. Finished it just a few years ago for the first time, and then second time when I made this video 😊 !
I played the SHITE out this game as a kid. I always wonderered what the ancients thought about the puzzles like "You know... I'm gunna make whatever guy comes here jump all over these fucking blocks and break walls and shit... but I'll leave here this diamond and three scorpions for shits and giggles."
This makes me sad.. I was 9 when I played this and I loved it to bits. I was stuck for months on the ice creature. I tried killing it with the infernal machine but it did not kill it, so eventually I gave up because I thought I was doing the wrong thing and could not find out what to do. I was right all along..
Thanks for watching! Being stuck in demo version for years (no tutorial level), a few years ago, finally started full game from beginning. Took me a long to finish it, being stuck a numerous times on certain puzzles 😓 !
There are 2 common crashes in the game on Windows 10 and Windows 11, but there is a fix on how to stop the crashing problem. I just can't mention it without stupid RUclips deleting my comment thinking I'm spamming on here which I'm not.
I heard about two game breaking bugs: crash at level 7 "Palawan Temple" and AI error in level 14 "Nubs Tomb". Patch 1.2 is a MUST before starting to play 😲 !
@@ZhuleCRO.OldGames Yes, that’s what I wanted to say but, RUclips to them in their crazy minds are still living in the Soviet Union era, no pun intended since this game does involve Soviet soldiers as the antagonists against Indiana Jones.😂
Obviously, Marduk was controlling Turner all the way along, since he set foot on Babylon. I wonder why Volodnikov was immune. My guess is because he`s a man of science. Great game!!
According to Tomb Raider dev documentary, Lara Croft was supposed to be male and resembled to Indiana Jones very much. But after their huge success, every TPS adventure that came out was proclaimed "Tomb Raider" lookalike 😤 !
Really good gameplay. Interesting game, although it lacks pacing, feels too dragged out most of the time. It does shares a lot of similarities with Tomb Raider, the fourth entry to be specific.
I'd say more with Tomb Raider 3: it has various locations (Nevada vs Canyonlands, Antarctica vs Kazakhstan, South Pacific and India vs Lagoon and following levels), it has a level centered around using a kayak in rapids (somewhat similar to Indy's raft level), one centered around a minecart (goes without saying), one centered around a quad bike (similar to Indy's jeep level) plus another one in Nevada where it's used but for a much smaller part (like Indy's jeep in Egypt) - also 4 artifacts to find around the world before teaching the final location, a large choice of weapons including a bazooka, and probably other similarities I'm missing out. Tomb Raider 4 is the one entirely set in Egypt.
Also, I actually think that despite the kinda more wonky controls (but there are a few better things compared to TR), Indy generally did things better. The story is more fleshed out (TR is more of an excuse for Lara to go to each place), the difficulty is increasing nicely as the game progresses, the level design is clever because you can always make sense of things rather than feeling like the place has just been created for the player, each level is distinct enough rather than being "more of the same", etc. I do love TR generally speaking, but Indy clearly did many things much better than TR3, which I think is one of the weakest entries in the classics.
WOW wait a sec, I knew about the MAKEMEAPIRATE code to become Guybrush but didn't realise there is a hidden easter egg at the end with the Barber shop music and everything. Indy plus Monkey Island my two loves.
WTF indy just uses a part of the infernal machine to kill "The ice". Thanks because i was stuck there, using what looked like a drive shaft to magically kill the boss would never have occurred to me, this game is mad.
@@tobeyjj8855 I play it now because being born in 1981 games from then until 2001 interest me the most, back before broadband internet and when game devs made games for a tiny audience of Americans and European young men. Indy has to be about 48 years old in this game because it takes place 1947.
Thanks for the game lore, I didn't know that 😀 !

What a funny glitch with the boulder at 9:25:53, never happened to me
