Today, Cmike actually replied to my DM. One of the Best days ever. I asked him for help, he gave a solution, told me he believed in me. Fucking amazing.
cuz Cmike is the nicest dude
where did you dm him on
@@PonchiOFFICIAL Not on instagram for sure...
Hes s chill dudes, he replies to all on insta
Cmikes the nicest dude
For those of u who don’t know- nick and cmike practically made the corridor crew channel what it is today. They laid the foundation for what this is now, I mean not to say it was a team effort but yeah.
I remember. I remember when Niko promised Cmike and Nick a new camera to film the vlogs with once the channel hit 300k? Subs or maybe it was 500k. Back when it was still called "Sam and Niko"
@@lessalazar9068 it was if two videos released cross 100000 views each
@@prashantkalauni8029 Aw right. I couldn't remember what the milestone exactly was lol
so much respect to film all day and then put that day out the next in an incredibly enjoyable way. CMike is King.
You guys should do a podcast with all the old members of the Corridor Crew with Peter, Adrian, and Danny and ask them how their lives have changed since they've joined and since they've left the Crew
na not danny
Crewvengers...crewssemble!
@@LittleSchemers Crewtons
TheSeoulTrain Of course, my bad.
@@Renix why though
"And I became the show-runner of the vlog called Corridor Crew. And then Nick hopped on and we got married. And we have raised a child with Uncle Niko & Sam." - Cmike 2020
CMike is the nicest dude. Hope the best for everyone! I wonder if they read our comments, though 👀
sure do, hope you're doing well too!
Willem Knights Thats definitely CMike
I'm glad to see they janked up the thumbnail.
#Embracethejank haha. So much nostalgia seeing the thumbnail
I really hope they asked him to do it out of respect for his craft.
for real though haha
I almost shed a tear when he was telling about how he knew the crew loved him and he could always come back. Thats awesome...
Same here
God I wish so hard
@@dibrenn3432 as awesome as it would be for Cmike to return to the crew, he is loving his Fables project. It wouldn't feel right if he came back because it would probably be because he had no choice.
@@VFuzball what if he comes back in later years by choice tho? Wouldn't it be nice? :)
I hope CMikes channel takes off.
It probably wont tho but im sure cmike will be fine
Imagine how Nick got stoked to do this with Cmike. It's like getting to see Lord of the Rings Cast reunited again after so many years 💕
Check out reunited apart from josh gad here on RUclips. They're doing a lotr reunion this sunday.
@@ThePapaBear15 i saw that too. I almost died 😅😂
@@ThePapaBear15 you think he randomly made this comparison with no prior knowledge of the reunion?
@@ThePapaBear15 I was about to say the same thing!
Pretty sure they still get together bunch of times, so not maybe years. Cmike was even in their ig post from new years I think.
The nicest dude
You guys need to have an "Our Founder" portrait of Carmichael in the background of the VFX Artists React vids
CMIKEEEEEEEEEEE. I've missed that face and the dude behind it! He is literally the sam and niko channel personified imo
I hope you've been well buddy!
Man I miss Cmike. Think of all the new Corridor Crew subs who don't remember when the "Cmike is leaving" video was uploaded. Only the truest of Crewtons remember that sad day...
Surprised how quiet Sam was this podcast! Really nice to see Cmike again, nothing against the new people on the CC views, but no one does it quite like Nick and Cmike did! As a comparison, they are equivalent to the 90's for Disney animated films for the Corridor Cast videos
LineageView haha love it
"Look at cmike riding the onewheel like a pro"
Boom
Then he just *EATS* the sidewalk
Goes down sliding along the pavement
I miss the vlogs, I used to watch them every other day back then..
Same. Kind of feel like their content is over saturated now. I watched every single vlog since the beginning up until they started doing VFX reaction videos, which now seems to be the only thing they do. The vlogs aren't the same anymore.
Les Salazar the vloooogs were amazing , getting to see these guys just goof around was a highlight
@@MrHarryGray I know right? I was always genuinely entertained just seeing them do their jobs and talking about writing and video making. It was really cool when Adrien came in and made a few interesting videos, seeing the process is neat.
They’re sort of back on the Corridor Digital site/app, called Corridor Cuts. It was the first thing greenlit by the subscribers.
I'd love to see Peter come back as a guest on Corridor Cast! Much love, guys!
I have huge respect for Carmichael. The amount of self-reflection and the way he constantly questions and stands by his convictions is very inspiring. What an amazing person.
Still the nicest guy
Cmike seems way more humble now than when he started at corridor. He was always chill, but I really dig his vibe now. Glad he found himself :)
Dudes... This podcast hits me hard. Cause I'm right now in this state, when I've left my job to make videos as a freelancer, and i've just spend my last money, cause due to this pandemic stuff I've lost all of my clients...
Those panic attacks, yeah, I feel that, man :/
Them talking about how great getting a thousand views is really means alot to me. I've only been doing this for about 6 months and none of the numbers for my channel had really hit me yet. I recently hit two years of watch time and that really started to sent it home for me. It's like it felt like I was going up stairs and it was hard to appreciate the value of each step, like we typically measure going up stairs in the floors that we reach not the individual steps. So just trying to run my own channel it's been hard to contextualize my progress and the value of each step. You guys sitting there talking about how great a thousand views a video is really helps people like me that aren't even sure if what we are doing is successful. So thank you to the whole corridor crew and know that you guys are not only making great content but helping reinforce and build the rest of us up. Yall set a great example and it's very appreciated!
So Cmike's name was David?!
I know right?!
I already knew that. I don't know who told me but I knew it.
I knew cmike was his surname but knowing he has a first name and that it's David is weird. Not bad weird... Just weird. Yes, I know that's stupid but still haha
"was" LOL
@@FablesD20 😅😅
That was so nice to watch. It was so humbling and seeing how CMike worked through his tough spots makes me want to work harder. I don't know what on, but I wanna work hard. Cmike is good human goals.
Cmike is the nicest dude. He has the wisdom and the humor of an old soul. There´s these people that are just so genuine and good people, you just want to be friends with them. Cmike is one of those. Man, I miss him on the channel.
I am a simple man. I see the nicest guy, and I click
Glad to see they messed with the thumbnail after all those times Cmike did 😂
The last 3 mins of this podcast made me sobbed as they tell their fave memories w/ cmike.
Why am I crying over a podcast episode?
Like, hey, its 1:48am here in the Philippines.
When cmike talked about his dad being like "why'd you quit you have the best job?" I felt that.
I started at the bottom of a 3D printing company and in less than a year worked my way up to project manager and all but built the FDM part of the business.
On the surface it sounds great, but the company was such a mess and the CEO was horrible, he would stifle anyone else's ideas and was making the company head towards bankruptcy . I realized that working under this guy was not what I wanted to do with my life.
I quit to try and do my own thing, and I'm still trying, but my parents being disappointed about me leaving a seemingly dream position is rough. They support me now but man, it makes it hard not to second guess myself. But honestly I'm glad I quit, because even though I don't have the stability I did then I'm learning so much more now and happier because of it.
I haven't even started watching yet, but this thumbnail is total Cmike! hahahhahah. Love it!
I miss the vlog style content
My worldviews have definitely changed and my stances mellowed due to those around me. For the most part I have surrounded myself with good company, and have grown with them
Luckily my bank account isn't empty, but I'll definitely keep Cmike in mind before I become homeless lmao. Warm wishes to you all
Loving CMike's story. Also, I fucking love Merino wool and personally only support a local military surplus store that gets their wool for their own products from mulesing-free sources. Merino is just so damn comfy as undershirts, underwear, hoodies, gloves...bloody everything.
Holy sh** I just realized that Corridor stole Carmichael's idea with Son of a Dungeon.. That sucks..
CMike is the nicest guy!
LAME cmon u can do better than that
is this the nicest podcast on youtube?
C Mike!!!! Omg it's been too long. Definitely the best camera man CC had.
I love this, it’s so amazing a wholesome and great to get an update with carhichael. He’s such an awesome guy and I’ve been following almost all of his work. Great stories and amazing experiences making for an all around great podcast. Keep up the good work cmike and corridor crew, hope to see more dnd stuff from node or corridor. Thanks!
In response to Cmike's thoughts on how to make Fables of Refuge a more cinematic experience: I would look to Node's D&D videos for inspiration. I've never played D&D, but I found Node's take on the game to be hugely entertaining. I loved the use of miniatures and low GoPro camera angles that gave me a baseline visual interpretation of the stories Sam would spin. Their use of background music and simple VFX stuff for damage was also spot-on.
So happy to see Cmike. Tearing up here in Tasmania
Idk why, but I felt so nice that I liked all of the comments here xd!
⁽⁽ଘ( ˊᵕˋ )ଓ⁾⁾
Edit: Perfect, no dislikes on the nicest podcast!
What the heck is that thumbnail 😂😂
Carmichael used to do the corridor crew thumbnails and he messed around with the proportions of people’s faces in the thumbnail (big nose, small eyes, etc) and the thumbnail is a nod to this
@@mileskuma4448 you are right! I totally forgot a obout it haha
I feel like they should hire Cmike to run the Node channel, he has a lot of great ideas.
That person who click on the dislike button has no heart
Cmike is the nicest dude c':
I love the rollercoaster story of having $0 in the bank account to finessing the Black Rifle Coffee team into playing D&D. This was a great episode, and I'm so glad to see Cmike again. Here's the Shot Show video that he was shooting if anyone was wondering: ruclips.net/video/Ej9IxcRtQBg/видео.html
Niko listened to Cmike like a dad listening to his son's journey, full of pride and wanting to give him more advice.
1 dislike from that film teacher
1:13:20 Having Universal Basic Income is something I'd expect (at least for me) to aid people leaving their comfort jobs or just shitty jobs and try something new, if their livelihood wasn't at risk the moment they left. Unfortunate we aren't there yet even in Finland, since I'm getting dunked on due to cuts at my current employer of 17 years...I still have 6 month notice and a union check to fall on though, but it's not really the same as something that you don't have to "beg" (apply) for from the government.
Yeah nothing like someone else paying for you to do as you please. Not to mention we are in debt to our eyeballs. Then they are the little thing called the population. They have been over a million people illegally cross the border in a couple month’s. No way we could pay for ourselves and then add every other country who comes here illegally.
They are so many issues with this. It sounds nice if you think money grows from trees unfortunately money comes from someone who works. They didn’t get rich by sitting on their asses. Even the Amazon guy started in his garage with books.
Can I say it? Cmike is a role model and genuinely seems to be a great person overall. Keep up the great work my man!
Cmike!! The nicest guy... I've missed seeing you together with the crew.. 😭😭 ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Miss you on corridor CMike but I'm happy for you for following what you desire!
Carmichael!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CMIKE. Thank you for sharing your new experiences and thoughts. Truly the nicest guy. :)
48:32 Sam does a bit of sneaky marketing 😂
Im the six hundred and sixty sixth like
lol that was my exact theory on the Sonic trailer. I just had a feeling it was a “fake” trailer to earn them some browny points with the fans if they “fixed” it.
C Mike is still the nicest guy
I only came here because I heard about cmike being on here.
I'm late to comment and you probably won't notice me, but I wanted to thank you from my whole heart for this episode. It was awesome to hear from you, CMike, again and to get to know your whereabouts. I'm very happy that after all the troubles and dark times suddenly something good happened, with Black Rifle Coffee bringing you some new hope, income and possibilities :) This episode was amazing to listen to, because - although you spoke also of difficult matters - you kept focusing on what's positive. That's very inspiring - and pleasant to hear! I wish all the best to you, (David) Carmichael and of course also to all you guys at Corridor Digital (and Black Rifle Coffee, why not :)).
One more thing - CMike, thanks for reading and replying to comments! You even replied to a few of mine, that meant something for me! ;) You show wonderful attitude.
Proud to have you in the d&d community mate ♥️
Proud to be around such creative minds
In a perfect world, $1 - $2 would do that but in reality, the migrant/farm pickers would see a fraction of a fraction of that money. "British Colonialism" has nothing to do with "The price of Coffee in Guatemala". (See what I did there?)
You also have to remember that these tiny farms, are also owned by relatively poor people from the third world. It's not like all these Coffee farmers are sleeping in giant mansions like Tony Montana. They also have to compete with all the other poor third world coffee producing countries like Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Vietnam, etc..
.... I would have taken a one way flight to LA to sit on your doorstep untill you took me in. Dr Strage Style. "Teach me"...
Reading the title and hearing about street meat guy makes me want to share this:
Towards the end of highschool (equivalent in germany) I had a, what is apparantly called, adulesence crisis.
I knew in my heart that I wouldnt be able to extract meaning from a traditional Job. But I also suffer from a hefty dose of add which makes me extra creative, suffer extra from what I experience as boring and you know... chronically bad at commitment. And under the last part I suffered most.
In my head, slowly the Idea took form that I have to put myself in a position where I HAVE TO commit to something that gives me meaning. By working a extra soul crushing job that forces me not to stay in a half compliant state for example. Doing something extreme that makes me unhirable so that I have to do something on my own. I mean. In my head even going to prison to bore me into writing was prefarable to getting "stuck in a cubicle".
During this Time I watched your content with great interest. And I got to admit, looking back, almost religiously. You were living a live I wanted. I thought at the time maybe even THE live I wanted. So after some time, another crazy Idea took center stage.
Go to LA. Burn down Bridges behind you. Become happy or die amongst the homeless population. Exactly, I wanted to camp on your doorstep untill you took me in.
In one of many long conversations with my parents, the Idea came up. Gladly I tell them everything. And as good parents do, they dismantled my dream with logic and reason. Providing me with the confidence that learning something that gives a lot of bread. Can open up my time to pursue whatever I want without loosing a safety net.
Without them I would have taken a one way flight to LA to sit on your doorstep untill you took me in. Dr Strage Style. "Teach me". Its another timeline. One I most likely would have ended up stuck in a fastfood gig or dead. Or maybe even happy. Ill never know. Course in the end, I took the paved road instead of the road less traveled. And that made all the difference. Good or bad.
I stream now occasionally. Have Ideas for unique content. Concentrate on my happiness without needing fear or obsession to drive me.
Thank you for beeing a big big inspiration in my life. Sorry for the lost corridor hobo content. But I think "Finding Corridor Hobo DEAD??!!" wouldnt have pullled many sponsors anyways.
So thats my "not risking it" story. Lets see how it plays out. If I DO end up getting stuck in my cubicle, Ill just simp you all my money on Patreon and become a Procumer.

I'm sure somebody has pointed this out, but just in case:
If 1,000 people watch something, that's 2,000 eyeballs, not 1,000 eyeballs.
Unless it's 1,000 pirates.
YOU WERE AT SHOT? damn wish I'd been paying attention I would have tried to come find you cmike

A good company filled with good people
I've loved Fables from day 1. It's actually really helped our campaign get off the ground and reinvigorate my love for DnD. Thanks, CMike!
It's shocking to me that Carmichael left Corridor with only 2 months rent in the bank. What kind of wages were they paying him?!
WAAAHHHH CMIKE!!! 💜💜💜

CMike is an inspiration. Thank you for telling your story my man.
So much of what CMike said hit home with me and I felt as though I could really relate. An hour and a half was not long a enough. I feel like I could talk with this guy all day! Thank you for sharing and giving me some encouragement through your personal experience. Means a lot to this Mid-west Film Maker pursuing his dreams.
Cmike is a nice guy
Cmike is the nicest socially distanced dude.
Cmike, you need a faster pace in your DND videos, normal people can't stand the slower pace and when the camera angles never change it's easy to get distracted or to just decide to watch something that's more digestible. all it would take is changing the way you speak to be all inclusive so that it can be cut together easier and so you can skip unnecessary moments.
I guess the goal would be to make it as intense as when people play in the movies.
We need more Cmike
Wait, Carmichael isn't his first name?
Pretty sure there is no loaded firearms at shot show.
CMIKE!
