I'm wondering if it's more like a sloper or a jug in most of the holds. By that I mean are the pockets good or bad, slant up or down, slippery or grippy. Just are they good or bad?
@@robertracz6133 yeah, my capsule is almost fine again. I need to specially strectch my finger before crimping something. It's kinda annoying. Tbh it didn't loon too violent at all, my finger was just very thick. After it was cra cked the bone slipped right in again. But afterall it kinda affects my climbing abilities a bit.
Love pockets too, but be careful of injuries... Hurt myself last week loading a mono undercling too hard on what i thought was 7a+ (spoiler : it wasn't 7a+)

@micahkessner5592 it's similar, but definitely not the same. You have to remember that with a purpose-built climbing facility, the entire structure is designed with safe falls in mind. No ledges, no falls into dihedrals, routes don't butt into each other. When you transition outdoors, no such guarantees exist. You have to learn to evaluate the terrain in significantly more detail.

Pockets are scary to me because of the risk of major finger injuries if you lose your footholds. They can be pretty bomber compared to crimps though

I use special shoes designed for climbing. Theyre very purposefully built for climbing! And yes, I fall all the time because of my shoes

It's very similar to lead climbing indoors! There are just more natural hazards.
You need to learn how to build and clean anchors, but otherwise the same. I’d get a stick clip, too
