When Wade said to change his name to "LetsCUT18" I laughed out loud. VERY interesting video Chris and you're right, those are some GOOD folks. Thanks for taking us along.
Pretty impressive operation wade has. It's real nice seeing an actual family run business. I bet you had a nice day with them. Even if it was a real long day. Yikes 2-1/2 hr ride. Probably a little longer going back, with a heavy load. Have a nice day
Can't express how IMPRESSIVE it is to ACTUALLY see this type of logging ON SITE, Chris! Logger Wade and family are good people...you can just feel it in your GUT! Salt of the earth! Thanks for taking us along. 👊 ...And get some safety glasses. 😉
In my 48 years in the window manufacturing business I've only seen 2 people with that kind of talent ,he's one and a dear friend is another. They both have a knack for their respective industry.
That was one great video Chris, Logger Wade and his family are so nice and such a hard working family and seem like they are all so much fun to be around, Just imagine Dirt perfect /Chris and Wade on the same job ! Now that would be hysterical ! 😂😂😂
Very interesting how they work through what to cut this time and leave for next. It’s tree Farming at its best. Maybe the greenies could learn from it. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Am I the only one that thought Logger Wade got his outfit from Sloth from the Goonies? Just needs a Superman shirt. Awesome video. Logger Wade seems pretty cool though
Totally respect your dedication there Chris and for helping others out and learning new stuff. Cant get over how fast you pick up new equipment.. thats just crazy and shows how adaptable you are compared to the rest of us. Huge thanks to Logger Wade to let you come out and play and help them out
Dam good video ,keep these coming , certainly a machinery dependant industry . Two extremes ,the Peace and quiet of the natural surrounds, the inposing noises of the machines
The whole family and crew are all such hard workers and great folks! Glad Tator finally had a professional camera guy for the day and also thankful you survived!😎👍
Awesome video 👍👍👍. I have been watching both of you for years. And I have too say Chris you have shown the best footage of logger Wade that I have seen. Being able too watch Wade down over the hill in Brutus is a view we don’t normally get to see. So thanks for that. I knew you was going too be able too run everything there. Thanks for doing the long video. I’m sure it took a while to edit. 👍👍👍
Wade, thank-you for the explanation at about 1:04:00 about what and why Chris is doing as he's getting the feel of the machine. *I* understand this because it's second nature for me, but I know that many people don't, even some people who do heavy machines for a living.
I thoroughly enjoyed you guys, and liked seeing tator cutting from a distance and your perspective and camera angle. It’s amazing to see the sun wash over the ground when a big tree goes down! I’ve really enjoyed the videos of you,Mike, and Wade helping each other!!
Great to see some one who knows forestry management. Wish he could teach others it would help a lot to prevent forest fires. Thanks for taking us along for the adventure!
Great video Chris, Logger Wade and family are awesome. You must’ve had a blast working with them. Thanks for showing a different side of Wade that we normally don’t get to see.
I don't normally like to watch an hour and a half vid, but that was enjoyable. That buncher (Is that what that is?)looks like an apocalyptic death machine.
Logger Wade is awesome love his laugh and sense of humor seen him at the farm show 2 yrs ago and wanted to talk to him but he was busy with other people.
I was not aware that forestry was so well developed in Indiana. About fifty years ago logging was more hands-on . . . I lasted about one summer setting choker. Many years later I would find myself moving oil rigs with a bridle. I always liked big machines. This was a good look at something different.
I worked repairing every piece of equipment that you guys are using. Then I got to operate the equipment after 2 surgeries on my lower back after an accident at work. I sure loved operating more than I did repairing.Nice set up on his service truck. If we needed to make a new hose sometime in the cold at -40 we took it off the machine and most times to the shop which might be set up a couple miles away.
A true family operated outfit and it's such a big thing that they trust you and DP up there with them. Says a lot. Very touching to see you all doing this with each other on the channels in the end but as learning operators and business people as well. Fantastic stuff to see. :-)
They are some good folks they have worked their butts off for what they have and they have alot to show for it. I watch them all the time. Joanne is a character and she tells it just like it is rather you like it or. Not
Great video Chris, I really enjoyed watching it. It's great to see you trying out other people's job's they do with different machines, and catching up with your friend's at the same time. Keep up the great work you do, and take care.
That's a big difference than when my great grandpa worked for a lumber company. He was driving a 1 ton Diamond T hauling several tons out of a logging camp.
Really makes work fun when you have the right attitude. Even when the job goes like crap, if you can laugh at the problems it just makes the day go fast and you look forward to a better day tomorrow! 40+ years breaking rocks.
What a great vlog Chris. When you said who was who on each piece of equipment. Mum, Dad & Wade. What a great family working together. Wade has an infectious laugh and seeing him repairing stuff on the job was impressive. Thanks for posting. 🇬🇧👍
What a Great Spirited Guy Wade is , Just laughs all day long !! lolol... Thanks for sharing "Wades World" with us all Chris !! Was Great as always Man !! Have a Great evening, and On too the Next !!
Love that you wake up happy. Good day you learned another piece of equipment for your resume. Had a good time with your friends. Now go take your sweetheart out to dinner. Oh and you may take Sunday off.
not gonna lie those swamp tires would be a good investment for your articulating offroad truck - its he only piece of equipment you and Chris get stuck regularely
Awesome to see you guys hanging out, wade an the crew get er done, awesome video, love this long video too, badass content, cool to see wade work in that track buncher, Chris you did a good job too, man what an experience that would be, 🌲🌲🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪 thanks for sharing Chris, thanks wade 💪💪🇺🇸🇺🇸
Pretty cool of you to visit your friend's. Logger Wade is so funny. As you said, a good bunch of people. Glad you didn't get fired. Would've been a first I'd say!
I watch a lot of Wade's videos. That's an Awesome hard working family! And Dude, you can fit right in. I used to log for my cousin way back in the day but we didn't have equipment like they have. There is not much log timber left here in NW Alabama now. Great video Chris! Thanks for sharing.
It’s amazing of Wade knowledge of different trees, just calling them off like eating popcorn. I believe in a video I saw on Chris a thing a tv station what do you know Chris. He said I believe he was around 14 when he started doing the type of work. He was going with his grandpa b4 that.
@@maryschillinger2909 wow, it shows, I Watch lots of different excavator and bulldozer operator video’s none better than Chris. As good as he is It doesn’t seem to go to his head ⚒🛠
It's so nice to see this for me. You are so long away from from Nordic professional forestry as you can be! It's here top 2 persons working in same area doing 8 hours shifts. One going first with a harvester and after that a forwarder picking up ready length delimbed logs and drive them sorted out to timber truck road and make piles. Trucks have mostly own cranes and load up on demand the ordered variety in a total set weight up to 74 or 90 metric tonnes in Sweden. Mostly the heavy work is done in wintertime to avoid ground and truck road damage. Other times it's ground preparation if needed before seeding/planting and thinning two times before old growth harvest.
Can you imagine what Wade’s mom went through raising him. He’s a grown man with endless energy, can’t imagine him at 7 years old. She is a saint, for not killing him.
To minimize risk, operators should keep out of the Shot Cone Zone. Ground personnel and bystanders should be at least 230 feet away from cutting operations and out of the Shot Cone Zone.
0500, best time of the day !!!! Wade is the same as you, does not do short days, making money while daylight is around... Brutus is definitely the wild child of the bunch, you did well to handle him after a two minute introduction 🤯🤣 Just remember to cut the right trees down 🤷♂️🤦♂️ Din Din was good to watch, you could tell this was another steep learning curve, are you going to try and twist his arm to buy a Valvo??? Reckon the day would have gone over quickly, as always having a laugh with them and learning a shed load too !!!🤓🤓🤓
I deeply commend you, Chris. Very deeply. I wouldn't dare to run the Dozer. Extremely impressive. How you so quickly picked up on everything, at least to me, is extremely impressive! To say the least. I have so many forestry questions. Build a pond. My mind can comprehend that.
Here in NZ log trucks are generally a truck and trailer configuration, as opposed to an articulated unit shown here Chris. After dropping the load at a shipping port, the trailer is loaded onto the truck deck to save wear on tyres when running unloaded. Bob NZ.
Wade's laugh is infectious! Working with people like that makes the day go by so much easier!

Well said!
That's exactly what I was thinking! And I bet he's a gentleman to boot.
I had an uncle who laughed like that. We'd tell jokes just to get him started...life of the party.
That laugh though lol. It’s so cool to see you guys hanging out and seeing how other guys do their craft . 👍👍😊
Says a lot when Chris gives this sort of praise.
You all work hard thanks for all you do
Teehee it looks fun 🤩
I imagine 5yr old Logger Wade had the exact same laugh - he cracks me up, it's great!
i think Wade hit on it when he said Chris had been operating since he was a pup. Kids learn best...and Chris is smart to boot!
Wade's knowledge of how different species of trees grow and what needs done to maximize growth over the years in a forest is impressive.
Yep, down to earth forest management. Impressive !

What if Justin was added to the mix? 😅
You can see them all together on some of the auctions they go to as a group.
Very interesting how they work through what to cut this time and leave for next. It’s tree Farming at its best. Maybe the greenies could learn from it. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏
Wade said, “Buckle Up, Butternut, it’s going to be a Roller Coaster”. He needs to go on Tour. 😬👍
Everyone needs a friend like Wade.
It's nice to see a close family team working together.
A bit diffrent from ponds and clearing house plots.
Thanks for a difrent machinery video.
