That root ball was as big as the 330, it was a big tree for sure, you did a nice job of falling it, it definitely was a job for the 330. Nice to see Clint and Kevin there, thanks for the “BIG” update sir, fun video.
Chris, you have a real knack for burning the brush piles. I live in the Pacific Northwest and with all the logging that goes on here, they don't seem to be able to burn up the brush piles as well as you are able to do. It's always amazing to see the huge piles dwindle down to small piles of ash when you get finished.
Up here in the PNW too often they are burning it wet and we have lots of rain. The moisture content of the wood and foliage is much higher here. The smart ones (or the ones that care about smoking out area) let it dry over summer and burn in the fall as the rains set in. If they do that it burns much better. I have a 20 foot slash pile that is 10 feet high dried over summer then got plastic on it, scheduled for burn in December.
Hi Chris, yes I would say that's one for your record books. Was great to see C&C having some fun with you. Great to see you all as friends & DP working together, doing What I think you love doing . and since your getting a collection of equipment Like Charlie your going to keep a heavy haul truck busy shuffling your game pieces around. Hope you all stay safe thanks for bringing us alone 👍 🇨🇦 Craig
As the big tree is hollow, you should set those chunks vertical. The chimney affect would help burn it from the inside out along with burning from the outside in.
Yep really big tree but the 330 knocked it out and she’s not going to be a problem for the pond very cool video and it’s good to see Clint and Kevin stay and hung out for a while them two guys work hard at what they do at home and they are having fun on vacation with Chris 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
That was brilliant. Long live the poplar. They used to say the duty of a tree is to lose the heartwood so it flexes better in high winds. What really struck me though was reading the height display for the boom. Really put the size of things in perspective. Massive respect to Clint and his team. That dozer is beautiful yes sir. Thank you.
I do like seeing the various channel operators getting together checking out each others equipment. They getsometime off and ebbd up checking out each others equipment and locations even joining operating each others equipment on work sites. A nice Monday evening entertainment after putting up some closet shelves for my Wife's elderly best friends. At my age, I'm sore and tired so it's relaxing watching a Chris Letsdig18 episode is perfect.
Our old farm had 56 trees of 120 ft and taller. We had to cut 2 down once. Called in a fella that had a saw blade longer them my pickup truck it seemed, but both trees came down, not hollow. I have a photo of the rings but we counted 264 on the one Oak tree and 238 on the second tree. The limbs were struck by lightning. We sold the lower 12 feet of both to a mill and the rest went to firewood. 10 years later I still have some of that wood in the covered shed stored up. Great video!
It’s amazing how shallow that root system is. We dug up / burned out the root system of a couple of large pine trees on my property. The tap root was at least five feet deep when we stopped digging.
Been watching you for years and it’s awesome and inspiring to see your success on RUclips and your business. Thank you for sharing as often as your can.
A big day on the project. Clint and Kevin enjoying North Carolina with LetsDig18 and Volvo (and the AMI progreesive link thumb). Big tree fell with grace. Great video.
On a tree that big you could sell it to make table tops out of. The hollow part is filled with epoxy. We had a huge oak that make that one look small. It was 10 ft in diameter and completely hollow. Only the outside 6inches held it up. My brother and myself would play inside it when we was little you could easily fit 8 people inside it. Had nesting bats inside the top of it. They would fly out of the limbs at dusk. Later it fell over during a microburst. It's root system was massive took 2 dozers to push it.
The root on that tree is the biggest one I’ve seen since I’ve started watching you, you had another one a couple of years ago that may have been a taller tree but the root was not as big!
I remember that other tree that you took down a few years ago. The 220 was barely able to just pull the stump. if I recall, the rootball was almost the size of the 220 before you cleared out some dirt. was not as tall though.
The add plug was great. He does need more Volvos on the lot. I’d be curious to see how a ec355 would do ripping stumps. We have the older 305 at work but doesn’t have the blade to help offset he smaller counter weight.
It's nice to see Clint and Kevin enjoying some time with Chris on the pond build part of this project. Chris does have some good quality toys to play with.
I think it would be extremely cool to see an excavator version of a Dakota fire pit. Perhaps dig a 3 foot deep square pit and start filling larger logs in alternating stacks kinda like a log cabin fire pit and then throw a crap load of crap on top. Then dig out a center line hole on a couple of side for air flow.
That big poplar was something! Great footage! It's hard to beat sitting next to a good fire with a good dog and a few cold ones on your property on a beautiful night...
Perfect tree for a "chimney log" You stand them vertical, support them with braces & set a fire below them. Doesn't take long & you have a jet of fire shooting out the top! That one would take many hours to burn through & tip over. Biggest we've done is about 18" diameter & 8' tall. That one would be epic!!!
Just goes to show you got the right equipment for the job that was the biggest tree I seen fall impressive now get the D7 in the dirt let’s see what she can do exciting job thanks for sharing 👍👋🇨🇦
Nice to see Clinton and Kevin hung out with you a bit bro, yeah getting the D7 dirty would bring a tear to Kevin's eye but with your type of work it will only be a matter of time. Great video bye the way. Safe travels. Ken.
You should have given the boys a thrill. Of ripping the roots with the 330. Then pushing it over with the D7. Probably would have made it into the C&C intro video..
Damn.. now that was a tree. I’m sure that guy has made you at least consider putting a thumb on Buster… Heck, as you said, the 220 wouldn’t even pick up the stump… just proof.. you don’t always need the big machine.. but sometimes you do..
cool fact, cut the hollow log in 4 to 6' sections, let it dry, stand up on end elevated by 2 or 3 bricks high and build a fire below it. great camp fire, the smoke will go above your head will enjoying the flames for heat or cooking. good ole mississippi boys, what we do.
Chris that was a massive tree. Thanks for all the different angles. Really fun to watch. Those guys are funny. So dark the phone light wouldn't even shine. Nice fire. Thanks.
The opening sequence of this video really needs the music from "Jaws" playing in the background, as you sneak up on the tree.. But we all know what YT is like if you add a soundtrack!
If the tracks on your equipment gets as muddy as that, Chris needs a way to bring some waste water to rinse off the tracks. Maybe not a water truck per say, but maybe a trailer with a nice size water tank on it as well as a pressure washer. Could save much time and aching muscles like that.
If I send you my address, you can ship me that monster poplar, as there's a couple of decades worth of drawer boxes right there. The rot up the centre's immaterial, as the outer timber will be so much better. I'll not even charge for disposal...😉 When I had the timber harvesting business, we used to call those supersize specimens 'wolf trees' as they ate all the goodness from all around, starving the rest.
The tree huger world association just had a candle light vigil . Ask Special to do his leprechaun dance up and down that fallen tree . It will be great for the video .
Ya, all the large popular trees like that here are mostly hollow.. I cut down 54 sycamor trees with a 20 inch bar.. I have one larg black oak that just revieled it's hollow like that.. near our mill. not looking forward to cutting it down.. look at my short with the doe walking by it. you'll see the hole.. 20 inches at a time i will get it done...
That D7 is not really that loud for as huge as it is....boy what a pusher. Love that sexy chrome stack. I bet you smile at it as you look over the hood.
28:40 Those black spots on the windshield messed with me because I tried to get them off of my laptop screen until I started seeing them move when you moved the machine. . . . hahahaha
Was watching a Somme's Farm post today from Mount Vernon, S.D. - they were harvesting their bean crop - guess what they found in one of the bean fields????? You aren't the only one who finds them - lol.
You, Clint, Kevin, and Mike have a great friendship together. It’s enjoyable to watch everyone’s channel and even better when you’re together!
That root ball was as big as the 330, it was a big tree for sure, you did a nice job of falling it, it definitely was a job for the 330. Nice to see Clint and Kevin there, thanks for the “BIG” update sir, fun video.
Thought the same thing! Actually typed it out, then saw you had just said it and erased the post.
Big boys sharing their toys!! Love it!! 15 foot root ball after the root are broke off
Chris, you have a real knack for burning the brush piles. I live in the Pacific Northwest and with all the logging that goes on here, they don't seem to be able to burn up the brush piles as well as you are able to do. That was a massive tree. She dropped perfect!! We even got a bonus burn video!! Coming along!!
The inside of that true is amazing. You three sure had a great bit of craic. Well done all of you. Yes great cutting. 🥰🥰🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you.
Leaf blower works great to push the fire to the center. Small pump up sprayer with diesel and fuel injected brush pile.
Thank you for the all the different views on taking down the big tree.
That is a HUGE tree! There's a dump truck load of dirt in the root ball!
I do like seeing the various channel operators getting together checking out each others equipment.
They getsometime off and ebbd up checking out each others equipment and locations even joining operating each others equipment on work sites.
A nice Monday evening entertainment after putting up some closet shelves for my Wife's elderly best friends.

It shows how good an all round operator Clint is!
Our old farm had 56 trees of 120 ft and taller. We had to cut 2 down once. Called in a fella that had a saw blade longer them my pickup truck it seemed, but both trees came down, not hollow. That was definitely one big tulip popular ! The ole tree had lived a good life. That was really convenient to have the 330 on hand.
Well done Chris, getting the truck of logs up and out of the mess. Once again you are the best. I love watching your burn pile of stumps. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰
I always loved going to work early while it's still dark when I can concentrate on what I'm doing and not have to deal with distractions.
I cannot believe that there was NO “Timber!” When you fell that monster tree!
Was waiting for it, feeling a little denied right now. Darn!
I know, I said it for him lol
It’s amazing how shallow that root system is. We dug up / burned out the root system of a couple of large pine trees on my property. The tap root was at least five feet deep when we stopped digging.
There was enough dirt that came off the root ball to fill up Barney !!
Good morning everyone hope everyone is having a great week ❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂
Same to you and may you be richly blessed!
You can see how the pond will look now. Thank you and have a great day.
Been watching you for years and it’s awesome and inspiring to see your success on RUclips and your business. Thank you for sharing as often as your can.
It looks like your new helper knows what he is doing in that 330. He is a keeper.
Clint is loving the drive on the diggers 😊
A big day on the project. Clint and Kevin enjoying North Carolina with LetsDig18 and Volvo (and the AMI progreesive link thumb). Big tree fell with grace. Great video.
Yeah that was a pretty big tree. You get all right with the 330 yep, you got those fires going which is always good. 👍👍🙂🇨🇦🔥
It's always entertaining when Kevin is there, positive and close to a laugh.
The root ball on that tree was bigger than 330. That was a huge tree. Clint is at home when operating a piece of equipment. Thanks for the video
On a tree that big you could sell it to make table tops out of. The hollow part is filled with epoxy.

You took down some big ones there...Clint was having a good time scrapeing the stump lol....stay safe
All of these guys are very talented and gifted tradesmen
The 330 has been a great addition to the fleet and the stumper has payed for its self
Love your channel LD18. Thanks for sharing your life experience. May you and your family be blessed and be successful in all your endevours.
I can definitely see a future lunker bass claiming the holy stump as home.
Nice video Chris. The 330 did a nice job with that big tree.
Chris always makes it entertaining when he has visitors.
I'm glad you are having good weather Chris.
thank you for saving us from the trees! you guys are heroes
We love hollow logs (Smaller) for camp fires. We call them chimneys. They rocket fire out the top when they get going.
The add plug was great. He does need more Volvos on the lot. I’d be curious to see how a ec355 would do ripping stumps. We have the older 305 at work but doesn’t have the blade to help offset he smaller counter weight.
Felicitaciones por el Programa.
Acá en la Patagonia lo vemos con interés.
Gracias
Es posible activar subtítulos en Español por favor.
Sería ideal .

Man that was a monster tree. Looks like you guys had fun.
Fantastic job at getting that tree up. Only you could do it.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That big poplar was something! Great footage! It's hard to beat sitting next to a good fire with a good dog and a few cold ones on your property on a beautiful night...
I wonder how the mulcher would go chopping up that big tree!😂
Great Job Chris on getting that bigga tree pushed-down.
Perfect tree for a "chimney log"
You stand them vertical, support them with braces & set a fire below them. Doesn't take long & you have a jet of fire shooting out the top! That one would take many hours to burn through & tip over.
Biggest we've done is about 18" diameter & 8' tall.
That one would be epic!!!
Impressive demonstration of your skills---as usual.👍
Awesome job awesome video thanks Chris and Clint and Kevin great start to a new friendship with c&c equipment
When I was logging and had to use the shovel or skidder to help a tree over, we’d call it using “the big yellow wedge” haha
Just goes to show you got the right equipment for the job that was the biggest tree I seen fall impressive now get the D7 in the dirt let’s see what she can do exciting job thanks for sharing 👍👋🇨🇦
Hey, Chris!!!! You didn’t say, “TIMBERRRRRRR!” 😆😆😆 That is a massive tree!
Nice to see Clinton and Kevin hung out with you a bit bro, yeah getting the D7 dirty would bring a tear to Kevin's eye but with your type of work it will only be a matter of time. Great video bye the way. Safe travels. Ken.

Well that was fun. The roots were bigger than some of the surrounding trees. 😮
“Don’t enjoy that too much” 😂
The 330 is a beast of a machine
cool fact, cut the hollow log in 4 to 6' sections, let it dry, stand up on end elevated by 2 or 3 bricks high and build a fire below it. great camp fire, the smoke will go above your head will enjoying the flames for heat or cooking. good ole mississippi boys, what we do.
Nice drop on the Grand-daddy tree Chris.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Clint looked like he was having fun😮
Chris that was a massive tree. Thanks for all the different angles. Really fun to watch. Those guys are funny. So dark the phone light wouldn't even shine. Nice fire. Thanks.

The 330 wouldn't have won without you,!!! Let's Dig 18,❤AGAIN and AGAIN, Thank you 😊
That was one massive tree. 😮
Cut rings of that tree and make tables with a shadow box. Glass top and a piece of walnuts inset in the bottom. Those sell for good money.
I'm starting to the shape of the pond now. That's going to be a nice little place down there.
You need a 72 inch bucket and a thumb on that 330, so you can also use the grappler with it.
If I send you my address, you can ship me that monster poplar, as there's a couple of decades worth of drawer boxes right there. The rot up the centre's immaterial, as the outer timber will be so much better.
I'll not even charge for disposal...😉
When I had the timber harvesting business, we used to call those supersize specimens 'wolf trees' as they ate all the goodness from all around, starving the rest.
There sure is a lot of yellow sitting out there, or should I say "Gold"!
It's nice to have a little extra help from a good friend. I wonder sometimes how I made it without all these channels I watch now.
Mike has Buba Dump, your stumper attachment for the 330 needs to be Buba Stump.
Dried out, that stump would make an awesome giant rocket stove.
Such an old beauty - and it was beneficial too.
So sad that it has reached the end of its lifecycle.
Good to see your Fleet getting bigger I like the d Sevan looks good
Somehow I don't think the mulcher attachment on the skid steer is going to help with that monster! 😉
The tree huger world association just had a candle light vigil . Ask Special to do his leprechaun dance up and down that fallen tree . It will be great for the video .
Watching the 330 is always a treat!
That is a big tree. Excellent video!!
Stump is Perfect for the fish 🐟 ❤
With Kevin being 6'7" that tree is HUGE
Ya, all the large popular trees like that here are mostly hollow.. I cut down 54 sycamor trees with a 20 inch bar.. Slice up that trunk and you'll have a brand new set of wooden wheels for your offroad dumper!
28:40 Those black spots on the windshield messed with me because I tried to get them off of my laptop screen until I started seeing them move when you moved the machine. . . . hahahaha
I think I could have got that out with a mini😂
not only can he diagnose, fix and modify anything, proof he can also operate anything.
Awww and here I was looking forward to seeing you burn up that huge stump. Thanks for sharing!
The size of the hole left by the roots tells you it was a very large tree.
Another great project. Nice to see some helpers. Time for a weiner roast🇨🇦😂
Holy guacamole, that root ball is huge😊
Was watching a Somme's Farm post today from Mount Vernon, S.D. - they were harvesting their bean crop - guess what they found in one of the bean fields????? You aren't the only one who finds them - lol.
