A21 isn’t just a few changes, but a complete overhall and it looks so much better + you can do so much more in creative mode too.

Can confirm when you say the poi from back in alpha 16 was there and it is now changed in general you’re on point sir, good memory lol. Been a PlayStation player a long time, kept up with pc updates so the 1.0 console release hasn’t been too rough cause I mostly know what to do - this video was very helpful for planning what to do and where to go moving forward. Thanks so much for time and effort.
Every new Alpha I make a save on Nav to see what's changed. This time around it's been amazing, so many little things, tiny details that add a huge amount of immersion. Day 5 on my run and I scored enough magazines for Forge/Workbench/anvil and bellows and even managed to get the full set of tools for the campfire by day 2.
All in all, really liking this build, and for the first time since about Alpha 11 I really don't mind playing vanilla.
I hate leveling up on Nav takes like forever. At least the first 2 weeks are really slow!
I wanted to share something I found for people with RTX series cards - I went into NV settings and set vsync to 'fast' and my fps went from 50-60 to 120-ish. Not sure why, monitor is 60hz, if I had all of that headroom you'd think I'd have a locked 60 but I was getting annoying microstutters - now my GPU is rendering twice as many frames as my monitor can even display. Not sure exactly what is going on there, the other settings didn't have a major impact but this one doubled my FPS and took the microstutters away. Hoping maybe it helps someone else :)
As far as the other settings: AOC is set to performance, textures on quality, 4X on all PP (set to enhance in-game settings), both optimized settings for trilinear/transparent/multithread are ON, power is max perf, cache set to unlimited, LOD to clamp. I'm running Ultra+ max settings in-game with 10% sharpening to AA at 4K native on a 16GB RTX4080. CPU is 12c/24t Ryzen9 7900X with 32GB of DDR5.
I started messing with all of this stuff in the first place because the performance I'm getting on the new VR mod with a Reverb G2 via Steam enabled WMR is ABYSMAL. Framerate looks solid but everything near me jumps and jitters regardless of literally ANY setting. If anyone can help with that I would be forever grateful :)
My husband and I love playing Navezgane since Alpha 15 on PS4. They changed a lot of things. The things we're kinda sad about is our old homes bases. The Garage (now the Recycling Center), is too huge and cluttered, and the little house with the bunker that is used for special items in Darkness Falls has changed drastically. But we can always play the OG versions in older Betas. The Weight Station in the Forest used to be Trader Jen, our first Trader to visit. I hope they do better cities in the Desert and the if they keep it, the burnt Forest. Thanks for giving my husband and I nostalgia before we play there again!
Navezgane holds great memories for me from early on. I have not played that map in years! I do think I will give it a shot soon.
The ranger station at 21:10 got changed, the tower itself got smaller, and the steps leading up to it got switched for ladders too
navezgane was always a great designed map. loved to play it and with the recent changes i have a good reason to play it again
tbh, i liked the large POI´s. exploring them was always fun and challenging

Starting out tho it takes forever for you to get a bike because all quest are so damn far away, I remember alpha 20 I got a bike pretty quickly
This is life is a game and we are in a no trader challenge on Navisgane. I love the changes I've seen so far...only on day 2 though usually goes to between 60 and 100 days

I normally play Navezgane, but I think I will wait for them to move thing around a little more as the traders need better spots.
I always play navezgane. I just think it's got a lot more details then the random generated maps and the layout makes more sense. Plus you are guaranteed all the POIs and all the biomes.
Just commenting to feed the algorithm, I want to find these out for myself :)
Mr. Reach, the bridge outside of Preston has been there since I first started playing back on the PS4 during A11 or 12. The big difference is the water under it. They also removed the football field that was across from the high school. The trader that was were the weight station is was Jen, the one that was just past that was Rekt, I believe. What you were calling the forest biome is the burned zone. They switched Joel and the fire station.
The bridge is not there in Alpha 20 the bridge is definitely new 👍
The place in the snowy area where the police station is, was not there before. The only things in that area was a pop-n-pills, gas station, a like 4 story apartment building, and an amazing 3 story bank. They removed the bank and apartments, they added the police station and video store, and put that weird power building thing where the bank/apartments were. It broke my heart cause that bank was the most reinforced base I'd ever had.
The weigh station in the forest use to be Trader Jens. Great video love the new Alpha.

When I used to play the vanilla map, those two islands were my bases lol and the land to the left I used to build a town there too
@Mr. Reach 👋 I used to know but forgot lol, but when you're flying around how do you jump ahead quickly? Like not teleporting but doing long leaps, at 27:40 in the video or what not. Nice video too thanks! I've been meaning to give Navezgane a try since I haven't played in it since 2 or 3 years ago.
Navezgane is looking great now! All these changes and new things is awesome as I haven't properly played nav since a18 so hopping into it is gonna be great.
well they havent updated anything than the poi designs in navezgane since a18 XD
Nice to see the changes to Navezgane. Thank you for doing this video. The only thing I don't like, especially with the progression change with Navezgane, is that there are no large cities to help with that. Still want to explore all the new POIs. Thanks again.
Yeah I love the huge cities..Maybe eventually they will add a huge city!
I've played navezgane since the ps4 release. Changes have been awesome I knew nothing about a21 so lots of surprises.

With the new paths/roads, its nearly impossible to drive a motorcycle through all those "glorious winding roads" without destroying your bike. Don't think for a second that was by accident. The fun pimp's devs get off on frustrating players.
15:20 I've based at that POI thrice in random gen, the road is fine in random gen.
I play 7 days and everytime i do a new world, I always choose Navez, currently trying to find a bunker. Cool that they added a prison aswell!
That ranger station man on the mountain. Make a helicopter landing for yourself and than just completely trap off the mountain lol

Damn! Navezgane is looking pretty great. What I didn't like about it before is that the so-called "towns" just like old Perishton just look like neighborhoods compared to what they look like now. POIs are too spaced out as well specially the traders so it's really hard to pick where to camp until you build your base.
i will say the church is better on the hill then in the middle of the poi
@@dollface2907 Yeah I immediately thought of that church when I'll be setting up a base on Perishton. The trader is nearby now so that makes it the perfect permanent base on that part of the map.
@@Zeruellll I'm happy navezgane got an update given its use to be just copy and paste POIs also I have tried the disco poi and like 20-30 zombie including cops and ferals for the loot room
@@dollface2907 Yeah I really love that map and I never really play on generated maps unless it's recommended on a mod. I even played Darkness Falls on Navezgane
One thing I'd really like is for there to be a POI claim block for stuff like the tunnel (though it does count as two) because setting the bed and claim to max just isn't enough for large places

I’m on day 42 of Navzgane and I’ve only come across the city in the desert. Is there a video showcasing only the cities in alpha 21?
24:30 yea that POI is where the previous Joel used to be. The new location is much better, i always hated going to the old location because of the mountains surrounding him and right next to a river with no bridge.
I love Navesgane , I am a bridge base builder after all .

Hmmm is it possible that navezgane is super beautiful but Not realy efficient to Play Coop with multiple Friends since the Citys are so small

Okay so I really wanted to visit the first modern house you showed, It's location and Name is wrong in your video though, the name isn't 'Our Best Moments' anymore its 'The Gladue Residence'
Location isn't (2088W, 2429N) it is (1488, 2429)
I didn't make up the location and name if it's wrong then that's the fun pimps thing I showed all the in-game coordinates not sure how those could be wrong, anyway it's at the top left of the map

I'll sit over here at my table for one. I don't like the new Navesgane. I hate how the zones are striated. And as a newbie I started in Navezgane but eventually moved on to larger maps. Navezgane back then felt friendlier, easier to navigate. I started a game there tonight and I don't know how much it will appeal to a newbie because it doesn't appeal to me. I'll stick with RWG.

How does one actually survive on Navezgane?? I spawn in, the trader is over 1km away, all their quests are over 1km away IN THE FREAKING WASTELAND.
Navezgane is actually the smallest map in in 7dtd. Most of the traders are in the center of the map.

I have only had bad experience with Navezgane, only ever landed near three traders locations, always been near the burnt forest, no cities near the traders, no good landscapes to build in, all quest are 1 kg meter away and when you don't have an bike it take an long ass time to get to the quest and get back.
So Yea not really an fan of the map.
I hate the map because it's too hilly and too many rivers. -_- the map is already huge and having to travel around mountains and rivers just makes it even harder to do anything in the map. like you spend soooo much time just driving I had to mute moter sounds because it was killing me inside from hearing it for several minutes at a time as I was traveling.

i play nav every new alpha as everyone should cause nav has everything and you can see all the changes witch you can somethimes never see in randomgen
