It sounds fantastic. The sound could use some treble. I have a pair of the Scamp 01's but they're not as good as the Compex.
Is that what TAme Impala used on the early albums?
i'm not sure! sonically it's pretty close but I imagine Kevin used alternate gear for the early records.
No, it was a dbx 165.The ADR Compex used to be the compressor on the old Helios mixers, used most famously by Led Zep. You can here Bonham here, even though the drummer is playing quite soft. Amazing piece of kit
