Brandon Hardesty of Bumpin Uglies did that once. He said "Look guys I've written hundreds of songs, I think I'm allowed to mess up every once in a while." And on Bradley Nowell and Friends- Sublime Acoustic, Brad forgets that there was a key change in his song KRS One and messed up a bit but kept going after he found his place.
Honestly, the dudes in one direction always knew how to handle messing up and to have fun and mess around with it. Love watching Harry doing the same thing in his shows, you can tell he has so much experience with being an entertainer.
I saw 5SOS live and during a solo Ashton said “I forgot the words...” and that was so charming. I didn’t even realize he was accidentally proving they don’t lip sync.
God bless. He's such a good singer too. He doesn't get enough parts.

Those moments show how confident they are, because they can choose to show their embarassment, but also play on their mistakes and make them seem funny. I think it's endearing seeing artists mess up like that because it shows they're just as human as us

Arianna is such an amazing vocal royal. If that trip and little laugh didn’t happen, I would have thought she cam on the show and lip synced that vocal. She’s so on pitch and dead on wit her timing. Her material isn’t ny kind of thing, but so much respect and admiration for her.
Watching this gave me the warm fuzzies. Seeing these mess ups makes the singers feel more human and genuine to me. It's nice : )

I once went to a Shinedown concert and the whole building electric system shut down at the start of one song. As it was a concert in a small hall, they just made an unplugged in the middle of the crowd, in complete darkness, with the phone lights shining at them, and not gonna lie, I'm glad the whole building system failed that night. It was something memorable. Sometimes these things make the concert more fun!
U should have done the Arctic Monkeys one, where Alex Turner forgot the lyrics to 505 and cussed all the way to the chorus.
