At 07:03 video states that Gainstation comes with Gainstation Boost, this is not correct, they are sold separately, many reviewers are making this mistake, be aware :)

@@mixedbymatty no problem, when I purchased it on B Friday I thought boost came with it from another review on YT, so whenever I see this now I mention it in-case others get caught out hahahaha....

    1) Needs Input+Output "Link" option. 2) Needs SC filter for the wet signal and detector circuit. It is nice as it is but you could achieve much tighter subs with a SC filter 3) Needs 2-3 more frequency choices in the Bass module 4) Needs Auto-Output gain compensation option. " Needs" is meant in a light manner. I mean "would be nice to have"

I understand the concept of these plugs in just adding gain, hence the name...but it would be nice to get gain compensation at the output and really listen to what this plug in is really adding so you can stop "on time" as its really easy to overdo it.
Just a workflow thing that would just save time from adding gain compensation plug ins from other companies in the chain.

Absence of gain knob was mentioned many times in their official FB group, but apparently nobody cares. Some of free plugins missing that too. Also they make most important UI elements smaller with each new release. That was one of the main reasons why I skipped this one.

The only difference between the clippers is in terms of how they saturate, so the increasing order is about the sonic sensation, this is what Acustica mentioned to me

That plug is the first acustica plug that i uninstalled after demo for 1 hour. Just a part of pultec + clipper, all modes sound almost the same and when you gain match it properly you just realise that there is no magic this time. You can do the same with a pultec purple3 + any good clipper like newfangled saturate/ standard clip/ omega twk

Did you try to push it? Really dig it as a creative tool.

@@mixedbymatty yes you could push it to the max and surprisingly get 99% identical sound with pultec + newfangled saturate in hardclip mode with detail preservation disabled, or kush omega twk. By the way it is so obvious when using a must tool letimix gainmatch. That little plugin is moneysaver and hypekiller. ps i'm an acustica fanboy, but sadly saturation is the weak point of their technology

@@77advanced i agree with you but after reading a lot of comments i think acustica screwed up and initially they put out a demo where all preamps sounded the same. i think they updated it, I will go check again

@@moscoenterprise8586 i think they changed preamp harmonics a bit on the fly, when received first feedbacks. Like it was with a few plugins before when people pointing on very low levels of harmonics.

I really like this bundle! I tried it out a bit and my personal project is mainly Industrial and it works so great with that kind of material. But you can use it on so much stuff, it depends on how much you push it where you can apply it on :). Very versatile in my opinion. It just has to grow on you to know what it can do :)
