There used to be an arcade in the mini mall back in the 80's and maybe 90's. I've lived here most of my life. Also I know for a fact, the front part was (I want to say, Woolworth's).

So sorry to hear about your little Potato Chip. We love them so much. I lived in St. Augustine for years and love it. I still live near there. The shell building material is called coquina, unique to St. Augustine. You were in the downtown touristy area. You need to get out and around the neighborhoods to really appreciate the history. More than just the shops.Go in the cathedral, the college and you would especially like the Lightner Museum. Best beaches in Florida too. At the attractions, ask for your Florida resident discount, they don't tell you about them unless you ask. Have fun. Hi Mark.

I wasn't aware until I read the comment below that Stella has passed. Having lost a dog myself, I understand how difficult this is. My heart goes out to you. On an upbeat note, you and Mark are having another great trip together. Have you had a chance to package and mail the items purchased at your last live sale? I bought two glass trees with green in the center of each. I'm hoping to include them in a Christmas display in my dining room window. When do you expect I'll receive them?

My husband and I visited St. Augustine in June 2022. We stayed at a B&B near Aviles. The art galleries were great. I purchased a 'face vase' from one artist, and a framed silk screen piece from another. The Cathedral is beautiful, and we attended Saturday evening Mass there. It was fun to shop on St. George Street.

The stone with the shells in it is called coquina. It was used extensively in construction because there is almost no other naturally occurring stone in Florida. My husband and I spend a lot of time in St. Augustine - there’s a B&B on the waterfront that we like very much. And we were married in St. Augustine - so it’s a very important place to us. The campus of Flagler College was originally built as the Ponce de Leon Hotel by railroad magnate Henry Flagler for the wealthy visitors and snowbirds around the turn of the 20th century.
My fireplace is made from coquina rock. Very heavy material but also very beautiful.

If you google St. Augustine FL thrift stores, you’ll find a list of several shops between St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra. These are true thrift shops rather than antique malls that sell at full retail. The tourist-y parts of St. Augustine, like St. George St., mostly have either higher end handmade articles sold in boutiques and galleries, or new items - generally mass produced in China as souvenirs for tourists. You need to be in St. Augustine one night between now and the end of January for the Nights of Lights - the whole city is decorated in literally millions of white lights for the holidays. It’s spectacular.

Jeffrey, I am praying for you over the loss of your sweet Stella. She is in your heart for ever. You can speak to her and she can speak to you. Your love is forever. She is young and running around playing and watching over you. She will be there when it's your time. One strange thing is I can barely ever use my keyboard on youtube. Doesn't work but this time it worked right away. God Bless you and Stella. She loves you and now I am crying like a baby for my lost babies and my beloved Misty. She and Stella will meet and play. Remember the funny and good things and keep at least some of her items, if not all. ❤

I haven't been there. It'll be 23 years in February on my way back from Marco Island from my honeymoon. We stopped on the way back to Indiana there and staid. And it's beautiful I love Florida. I love to live down there. But I'm losing my eyesight so I can't drive or anything. I was hoping you'd stop on your way back from Illinois and see me, son.❤❤

According to Jeffrey's post it was the end of November, I'm assuming this was the trip he had planned after his visit with Barb for Thanksgiving.

I read Abt St Augustine years ago and it sounded exciting . At least you got to visit the oldest town in America !!! 🎉🎉🎉 People demanded rise in minimum wage !! So now noone can afford the amenities !!! Places be closing at this rate !!! I'm glad I don't care anymore ! I went on some trips from Tampa and up to upstate New York and in between ! I'm good 👍
😢 so sorry to hear about Stella. I also know about losing a fur baby. I lost my cat Lucy last October. I swore cvi i wpuld not get another one. But by December i was missing that feeling only a furbaby can give you
I went to tescue and adopted a 5 yr old cat. Best thing i ever did, i renamed her Lovee which mstches her personality perfectly whrn you decide to adopt again and you will
.go for an older dog you wont regret it.

i love it, my old stomping ground in my 20s, I love the spanish fort. You can smell the history. Even in the old buildings. If you can get in Flagler College just inside the foyer even its stunning.

I’m crushed that Stella passed and Jeffrey only posted on Instagram. I’ve been following him forever on RUclips and supported him here. So I was deeply disappointed to find out about Stella through comments on here. Potato chip was an absolute sweetheart and loved by many I’m sure who I believe deserve to find out as well as the rest of the community who went on to Instagram. It denied me the chance to send my condolences to Jeffrey in his loss of Stella 😘

That wall is called coceana. It was made by hand. Hundreds of years ago. There are alot of buildings and walls made of it. I live in Jacksonville. I have been yo the old city my many times. There's so much to see and do.
