An overall virtuoso display of talents: superb pianist, "youthful" conductor, young instrumentalists and choir singers this performance is in the demonstration bracket in the league of the West-Eastern Divan orchestra masterfully conducted by the great Daniel Barenboim in the 2012 recording of all the 9 Symphonies of Beethoven. Kudos to the Kazakh Conservatory, continue delighting with such a great music your wonderful country!
I needed something, some music to cheer me up and this was my first choice. Since my last comment 7 years ago, I do wonder about the well being of these wonderful musicians. So much has happened & is still going on in our world today. But let's not get too morose, we will enjoy the performance once again. I salute you all my friends, best wishes & bon chance!
Thank you Anna for uploading this wonderful performance given by students from the Kazakh Conservatory, helped of course by the professional musicians. I particularly enjoyed the flute solo, not a big part to play, but a very important one! All their mums & dads, aunts & uncles will be very proud that they have such talented young people in their families.

I keep returning to this performance of LvB's Choral Fantasy...it is played & sung with such enthusiasm & joy, it lifts my spirit every time I play it, which is of course what Beethoven intended. I agree with previous comment about the reference to Ode to Joy in No. 9. Thanks again Anna.
