I like the comment about not looking at it like a chore. This makes taking care of natural hair so much better.

    Dry hair
    Build up- clarifying shampoo
    Dehydrated- drink plenty of water
Moisturizing- as often as needed based on your hair not another person's routine
Sealing- possibly switch to a butter instead of oil.
In addition to what Kia suggested. These helped me tremendously.

You are so right about our hair not being "just hair".It is not just hair.Having to be able to wear our hair in its natural state is such privilege. Some never had it that way even if they wanted to...

The QRedew is a lifesaver for my hair!!! I use it weekly with this high porosity hair (coarse texture and glycerin is not my best friend either). I never thought to look at my hair as self-care and always felt like it was a choir (I just took out my locs of 8 years so I have to get use to doing my hair again). The vibe you give off definitely makes a difference in your willingness to dedicate to your hair. I completely understand where you're coming from with creating your dream full-time. I'm not at that point where I hate my job, but I'm at that point where I'm tired of living paycheck-to-paycheck and want to save more. I look back at all the money I spent on materialistic items I didn't need and my bank accts could of been stacked up! I work 1st shift (12am-8ish/10ish am) so I make time to exercise/meditate at work so that I can start my day off right and take it day by day to reach all my goals I have plan before the end of this year.

    • @dorothyparker544

I looooove my Q-Redew too! I use it when I deep condition my hair, the steam really allows the deep conditioner to penetrate! 💜

Ok sis I’ve been watching for awhile so i stan. I have to tell you because I am an hair/skin specialist. Nixon is chemical based and if you stop using the product it can make all of the hairs “grown” using the product fall out. I would suggest the invati system from Aveda. They have a spray that’s similar to the Nixon but it’s completely plant and flower based and works with your body naturally to produce better thicker hair. Just research Nixon in depth and go from there with whatever product, Aveda is just a suggestion if you want a natural alternative.

Great video! Thanks for sharing your revamp the curl routine. I basically always wear my natural hair pull back in a puffy ball but I remember when I was in my 20s I use to style my hair using these steps but I had a relaxer at that time, will try it and hope for good results on what growing out of my head. lol I glad to see more women taking charge of their careers. I been with my job for over 30+ years taken advantage of and miserable but it was the only income for taking care of myself and my kids. It great to see that God provided a way for you to step out to be able to express yourself and get an income from it.

Quick question: What leave in conditioner do you recommend? I don't think I have found a good yet. Also, I really want to try your edge regime, looking forward to it. Andddddd thank you for the stylist info, it's hard to find a stylist. The one I have only does my flat iron in the winter but she's the only stylist I trust. So when I'm natural during the other seasons summer it's def a struggle.

So even though I finally mastered my wash and go. I think I’m going to try this. I already have a heart shaped haircut. My ends were bad so I cut quite a bit. It used to be almost as full as yours but it will grow back. My hair is very dense, thick and coily so I’m thinking if I do this I should have less tangles because it will not be in it’s natural state. It’s worth a try anyway. Sleeping on those rods may not be fun, but I’ll figure it out. Your hair is always bomb!!!! Love it.

Satin is a weave of fabric that is slippery and smooth, not a material itself. So satin for your hair can reduce friction which is good, but can still be made of polyester or other absorbent materials that take moisture from your hair. Silk is a material that is not absorbent, so the moisture remains in your hair. That is why you can have a scarf be 100% silk, and still be satin. Or it can be 100% silk and be matte and not slippery/shiny, because it's not satin woven. But is still great for your hair. Hope that helps someone.

Loved all of this video & Your skin looks so good.what's your skin type & the ACTUAL skin routine u do in the am & pm? Would love to know.I have acne prone\oily prone\dry prone\sensitive\39\dark skinned Caribbean American & 39 yrs mature living in 🌞 Florida & I do eat well but found out I have adult acne bcs mu skin\edges were dry\breaking out & doing the most since Feb.My 1 st ever visit to a dermatologist is how they diagnosed my issue(I dnt know if their diagnosis is even correct)I spoke up\showed them my issues\asked what this issue could be & what can I do to improve my skin attacking my scalp, edges & face from dryness, uneveness & acne all over my cheeks & dark spots when it heels & the response they provided was straight trash\opposite of what my issue is & I got annoyed\bored bcs I dnt think they understand my skin\I don't think they r giving the best skin care advice\they gave no routine to me.they just gave me meds for my face & it just seemed to get worse for 6weeks or they\ppl give me samples of items I cannot afford to try or buy\they hand me products that have ingredients clog pores & aren't non comodogenic.I am on my 2nd dermatologist & no one is giving me items\products based on my skin type \issues.Please suggest any steps
outines\cold or warm water, any non comodogenic products that r affordable that can help my skin get back to being clean, clear, even toned, moisturized & under control.thanks
