@@Aidan8N I wish the next tales had similar feature, even if not weapon switching atleast some style/stance and not on just one character. Would it even kill them to make a mage character who can switch stance from long range caster to close combat staff user? Berseria was fine but the combo felt limited compared to Vesperia and Xillia 2.
@@hrgaming4plebs570 isn't that basically Milla and how she can switch between her spells or melee artes depending on how long you press the Arte button? Granted she doesn't has a staff but she's badass both front and backlines
@@OLHearts yeah Milla kinda works but I would like some changes on normal attacks(which zestiria and berseria lacks). kinda like magestaff attack usually shoots projectile but on close quarter style it'll be staff martial art with magical enchantment.
@@hrgaming4plebs570 ah yeah I guess, they just don't really want to encourage people smacking close with staffs I guess, usually it's like Tear or Elize where they just shoot off projectiles and have proper melee options through artes (mostly Elize in terms of melee). You do have Raven with his dagger/bow I never managed to master the switching in this game so I imagine they just tried to streamline it through the Graces/Berseria system by having them be separate buttons or completely separate artes in the first places
Just with another Arte or Manual Cancel imo. That's what combos are about after all. As long as you're in manual mode, the game doesn't mess with your positionning. For the rest, Ghost Wolf isn't magic, it depends on the distance between you and your enemy. If you're too far from your enemy, there's no cross up, you just get closer.
Mystic and burst arte are different buttons. Burst is holding down your attack button, mystic is holding down your arte button. You can use burst and then hold b to use mystic after.
In case anyone was still wondering, appears to be a Ghost Wolf cancelled using Repede's Bark skill on his taunt, which interrupts all ongoing moves on the field. Bark cancelling, what do you know.
Somehow you made vesperia look fun. Now that's an accomplishment. But still you actually make every tales game look their best so I'm not suprised. Good job man.

Most of the characters are the worst in the series ( Except for Yuri and Rita), the story feels like it came out of a pokemon game, and the gameplay doesn't speed up until at least 5 hours into the game, and the dub is trash. But then again I liked zestiria so my opinion automatically is incorrect.
I've only played Tales of Destiny 2 (aka Eternia) and had shitton of fun from it - 2d combat (core of combat, didn't used those flashy specials much), bosses, story and those two worlds, music... All that made me enjoying this game. Is there any similar Tales game to it? All later Tales looks totally different.
@@SquerolBoss Tales of Destiny Director's Cut, but alas, is only available in Japan and for PS2 at the moment. I would love to see a 2D "Tales of" remake someday. Look for Destiny DC combos on RUclips, just to be hyped at least xD Also the real Tales of Destiny 2 is like Eternia.
i respect your opinion but vesperia is the top 3 tales games in the franchise and has aged incredibly well which is why it got the definite edition in the first place. Its your opinion you say its not fun but its a fact that this game had probably the best gameplay (being able to switch strategy on the fly, smart-ish AI, awesome/easy combos, etc) and had a pretty decent story but everyone's experiences differ so i won't judge if you don't like the game --since i have many friends that don't play rpgs-- DX
The game opens slowly. So most of this is not available for the first 3/4 of the game I'd say. On the other hand, the game has some (sometimes hidden) mechanics to make its gameplay more fluid and technical. Like Manual/Spell Cancel. So even earlier on you can do decent combos if you use those and some other properties the game has, like the OTG system (if an enemy falls, you can pick them up with an arte or a free run attack and continue your combo). So it's half you, half the game. It only teases some of its mechanics and lets the player find out stuff about the game, if you're not curious or not willing to put efforts in the system, it can be a slog.
The background sounds are irritating... like there's that melody clashing with the btoom sounds. My head hurts just listening to this truck pile of sh*t that only Vespy fans can love.

ヴェスペリアのコンボ爽やかな感じがします。ただ純粋なコンボ、秘奥義とか無理やりいれてHITを繋がなくても、OVLなしでも十分華麗な戦闘が楽しめるんですから。
普通のヒットに上位の技（バーストアーツとか）その上で秘奥義とか、フェイタルストライクで決められる、これをすべてを持つのはやはりヴェスペリアしかないと思います！

check out xillia 2. there's a character with weapon switching and you can basically do dante combos by switching between blades and guns in mid-air

Did you cancel ghost wolf with guard at 3:59? Cause you were facing the enemy at the end of GW and GW puts your back on the enemy
