- The first day of installing my MRCOOL 24k DIY. I am installing this in the winter in Utah because it is too cold to work in my shop. This turned into a series of days, and a series of videos, from start to finish. Is it really Do It Yourself? Do you need a degree in ...? Do I electrocute myself? Did I really kink the copper line? So many questions, a few may even get answered.

I put a small concrete pad at the exterior location to set the fan system on. It works well.
I did put mine on concrete, and I am glad that I did. I am dealing with an ice issue though. It forms on the concrete after the defrost cycle.
Good on you for trying. I saw 731 Woodworks install his and chickened out when time came to install mine. It wasn't a small expense to get it professionally done and I often wonder if I made the right decision. I can't wait to see the next video!!!
How stressful was yours? If the cost of the install didn't totally stress you out, then I would say you probably made the right call. I am still stressed out over mine, and it's done😉
