Awesome job! The RBMN is really doing a wonderful collective job promoting your railroad line! Many of us would appreciate sound on your live cameras; it would only add to the viewer's experience! Thanks!
Thank you for your kind words about our railroad and your suggestion!
Amazing job RBMN, it’s nice to see another railroad honor their past
While we are definitely not the first to do so, we are thrilled to see folks like you take notice and appreciate our work. Thank you!
Nice work
Thank you!
Can’t wait to see this on Santa trains and fall foliage trains with 425 when she comes back!
Our Santa Trains are right around the corner! Also, we hope to have #425 back next year. Stay tuned!
What an awesome painting job, I love it. Happy 40th anniversary.
Glad you think the paint job is awesome! Thanks!
Congratulations, Happy 40th RBMN!
Thank you! 🥳🎉
@@RBMN you're welcome
Fantastic job, and congrats on 40 years, can't wait to see what another 40 years brings!
We are ready for whatever the next 40 years may bring. Thank you!
That's got to be the first purple engine i've ever seen!
2nd time for me. The other purple locomotive I've seen is LNER A4 class steam from the UK
It may very well be but actually is "Blue Mountain blue" which can definitely appear to be purple depending on the lighting!
Now THAT looks awesome! Reminds me of 425’s old paint job. Love it!
Happy to hear that you love it! Thank you!
Amazing video RBMN! An absolutely gorgeous tribute to your Blue Mountain & Reading Days!
That's what we were aiming for when we painted it! Thank you!
They did an outstanding job on it! Believe it or not, I was scratching my head at first as to why it was painted in a dark shade of blue though it does also look more purple. I did learn from a friend it was a paint scheme a diesel had when BM&R now R&N had one of their diesels painted when it began in the fall of 1983 as a shortline.
Your friend is right, that is "Blue Mountain blue" that was used on our very first diesel locomotives back in 1983!
How long are these units going to stay in this paint?
We hope to keep freshly painted locomotives like this one looking sharp for as long as we possibly can.
What type of horn does this have?
That melodious noisemaker on the roof is a Nathan K3LA horn.
YOU CAN DO WITHOUT THAT GAWD AWFUL MUSIC.
Sometimes we like to add music for dramatic effect. Not all of our videos have it, however.
