This video was just flopping along sanding and slopping paint oh orange paint Oh wonderful...until pics of Tala popped up....And back I go to all the dogs and cats that have graced my long life so far at 68 years..all of them had hearts of gold at all times only I would fail them at times and now that haunts me to this day...I know they have forgiven me for being a human whatever that means..I did not have the soul they have or the heart to love so unconditionally at all times under life stresses we face they don't feel or worry about, but they do feel our troubles and are always there for us. Saw a calendar online of dog days...day after day read....Best day of my life...Best day of my life..No one will be here forever but it's very tough to watch them leave us and then think we did not measure up to the love they gave us with no conditions set...no fancy car..fancy home..dinners out...needed.. just love them and care for them well and they will give you back way more if your heart is open to see it..Cats too !...Sassy , Coco , Levi , Buddy , No Name , Schatzi , Tiger , Tip toe , Fish , Shadow , Prudence < Pukie....
Sorry to hear about your doggo - they looked like a real sweetheart. Lost my beloved cat last year and they leave a huge hole. I'm guessing maybe even more so when you've been on expeditions with them. My wife is a training officer for the Blue Cross Pet Bereavement Support Service and no matter who you are, how rufty tufty or whatever, losing a pet is hard.
So sorry that your friend and confidant passed... I always feel cheated that such a loving and protective friends don’t have the same life span as ours! Unconditional love is a treasure!

Can't go wrong with white paint on a boat simple and cheap.yellow is attractive despite the other internet famous lifeboat, plus tipping isn't that much extra work takes seconds after rolling. Looking forward to your home on the water
You know it just never ends right? I'm on my 3rd boat project atm, and I can guarantee it just never ends. People will just never understand how much work is involved
lime/florescent green is a highly visible unique option. I've never seen one and it's would be pretty cool. Actually any highlighter/florescent color would be unique and visible like blue or pink. Also , you can paint it a less visible color and add tons of reflectors to make is visible instead if you wanted.
You can use a heat gun to remove bubbles when paint is paint I think..... Try mesh sandpaper, in my experience it last longer and gives a better finish. I only use it for the final pass now since it does come at a premium
to get rid of orange peal you use a wet and dry paper and do what is known as a colour sand befor the finale coating goes on normaly most commen when painting things black to get a mirrow finish

You should check out Speedtex, it's a 2-part UV resistant, scratch resistant polymer coating that would be an ultra tough covering that holds its colour.

Is Orange a good idea? Any ship or plane that spots could radio in to check you're ok, or call the Coastguard/Navy out. Sherwin Williams, the worlds biggest coatings manufacturers are now located in the UK. They have a Protective and Marine factory in Sheffield. If you need specialist paints, they can advise.
I had a good think about this: 1. the boat will be so visually modified that any experienced skipper will know it's decommissioned 2. its lifeboat registration code is removed 3. it'll frequently be used in areas with very little shipping 4. it can be identified with AIS as a 'pleasure' boat 5. if anyone is worried, they can just ask on Channel 16 if we are ok.
Please can you attach giant googly eyes at front? I feel for you losing your best friend Tala. It looked like you spend wonderful time together. Consider to get another pup as Tala wouldn't want to leave you without a snoot in need of petting or belly in need of scratching
