Before I met Elvis I never imagined that a human being could convey these emotions through his art...Then when I listened to him for the first time ever it was as if I had punched me and ripped my stomach...Today, like 40 years ago it's still the same for me...

Elvis sang like no one ever. He produced his songs. He decided who played what and when in any song. The voices came in when he said so. And remember, he chose them all to join him. He was the beginning, the middle and end of the song. That's why his live performances are so amazing. Thank you. 🎄

Love how Elvis catches his mistake starting the second verse as “ and there’s no tenderness “, he was going to repeat the 1st verse “ you never close your eyes “ but catches himself. He even gives a quick grin to the Sweet inspirations.

This is one of my favorite Elvis songs/performances, and normally I don't like people changing his songs, but this song with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! And especially the bass. I like to watch the original on RUclips, but when I'm in my car, I like the Philharmonic version with the volume up a little extra! I've always been a music lover, so the richness of his voice and the orchestra instruments is just unbeatable!

I agree with you. My mom raised me and Elvis I’m 53 years old. I’ve been to his Graceland mansion about four times. I’ve watched his live concerts and I have never seen or heard a band that is so tight like what Elvis had. And then I saw Elton John about three years ago, and you could see how tight that band was almost like what Elvis would want. It was nice to see Elton John a master of his craft have a band that fantastic backing him. I never thought I’d see anything like that.

It's the best version of the song. His passion and his presence on the stage are amazing. The Sweet Inspirations are excellent. Elvis knew what he wanted and how to get it. I have seen it when he was doing rehearsals. When he performed a song noone else could do it better. Noone!

Elvis really got the chance to show off his chops with this one. It let you hear the different facets to his amazing voice. I believe he had the best band and backup singers back then. It's great watching him having fun. It may sound strange, but when I watch videos like these, it's hard to think of being gone. And especially not as long as he has. His bless him for all the 💘 and enjoyment he gave to the world. He'll live on forever in our hearts and minds as it should be, because he was truly an amazing talent and person as well!!!!!😊

The Righteous Brothers recorded it first, and it is very nice, great vocals. You can't compare really, because Elvis puts his very unique stamp on every song he interprets. He voice is unlike any other, and his style as well. I've seen this more times that I can count. You should watch the 1970 concert documentary "That's the Way It Is," from which this comes--you'll be blown away.

Would you react to Elvis ‘ song “ You’ll think of Me “? Please listen closely to the unusual instrument. I’m sure you will recognize the instrument but it took me a long time to find someone to tell me what it is. The instrument is a sitar. It’s used in Hindu/India classical music. It’s beautiful. Happy to see how you always recognize the musicians and how good they were, especially Jerry Schiff. If you ever get a chance, check out an Elvis live concert(many available on RUclips) from between 1974-1977. When introducing the band they frequently got their own solos, Jerry included, and his bass playing was always top notch. Be careful though that Duke Bardwell isn't the one playing, because he's good, but to me, Jerry was always VERY good and his solos always excellent.

Elvis said he didn't like being called King,said Jesus was King of all King's n was only an entertainer. He was very religious r heading the Bible everyday, yes everyday. He loved most of all singing Gospel songs. There will never be another Elvis. I love your channel n listen to it always esp.when you play Elvis.
