I saw Elvis in concert 4 times. The first was in Jan/Feb of 1970, before he went to Vegas. It was in Miami and he did his 7 minute plus version of Suspicious Minds taking his belt off and pretending to whip Ronnie Tutt screaming at him “faster faster”. It was his next to last song and the entire arena was up dancing in the aisles....a performance you never forget. The thing about Elvis was he did a one hour show, no encores and he was gone. But you never felt cheated, it was a whirlwind performance....like I said, you never forget it and I’m 70 years old!!
Amazing he still sings every word and do all these moves. Thats real entertainment. No lip lips sync no autotune pure talent and energy. He was simply the best. TCB

MIJITOOO RICOOOO !! LO AMOOO , LO AMOO. EN ESTE MUNDO EN EL OTRO Y EN EL OTRO Y EN OTRO ....WOWWW VIVA ELVIS PRESLEY EN MI ALMA Y HASTA SIEMPREEE LO AMOOO👑👑👑👑❤❤❤❤😍😍😘😍😍😍
He should have won more awards for a lot of his later music. He seemed to get lost somehow when it came to giving him the recognition he do right deserved. I'm happy that he at least got it for this one. Especially with a talent such as his!!!!😊
It was all from jealousy from the people in the industry. They kept calling him a flash in the pan, he should've won several Grammys. He got 3 Grammys for his gospel albums but should've won many more! He outsold them all and won all kinds of Gold and Platinum! Still selling and being awarded Golds!
I am exhausted just watching him!!!! LOL The people that were lucky enough to witness the greatest performer / singer ever ( in my humble opinion ) remembered it for a long ,long time. I will watch this over and over again. Thanks John.....wow!
Thanks for this one John! I don’t think people appreciate or understand how hard Elvis was working at this time in Vegas! Working his ass off and entertaining the fans! What a showman and entertainer! Peace to you bro!
I get worn out just watching him do all his moves...the crazy thing is that even though he is doing so many moves he still sings great. The other strange thing is that I feel that Suspicious MInds studio and live are two different songs. The studio recording is very emotional and soulful where as the live version is much more about energy and performance. Both great just very different in my opinion. Loving your reactions John, keep em coming...
Wow wow wow I am ALWAYS amazed to see Elvis performimg this! Such energy! No words to describe this GLADIATOR OF THE STAGE ..Elvis you are a once in a lifetime performer. No one has ever been before you or after you and no one will ever be You were original and we could FEEL you. GOD MADE YOU WONDERFUL HANDSOME DESIREABLE AND YET HUMBLE AND FULL OF LOVE FOR YOUR FANS AND PEOPLE. NO ONE CAN FORGET YOU. YOU WERE A BLUEPRINT. A ONE AND ONLY. WE WILL GO TO OUR GRAVES STILL LOVING YOU. YOU WERE MADE FOR THE WORLD TO ENJOY YOU. NO ONE WOMAN COULD TAKE THE PLACE OF YOUR FANS.
John, love your reactions to Elvis music. You are helping to keep great music alive. You are also keeping Elvis alive. I am 78 and listen to him everyday. Also you never mention the great piano playing of Glen D Hardin. He also did some of the musical arrangements. John, you are the greatest.
Elvis owned the whole stage, and I mean if running out of breath, if he instructed the band, or singers to step it up, they would've done it, the band/singers took their instructions from Elvis, most performances were agreed/songs too, but the style, how long they went on for was not agreed, so EVERYONE looked at Elvis/movements etc and played/sang accordingly.. Most bands today are recorded/played back whatever you wanna call it, miming essentially, 1hr of Elvis or 1hr of a big singer miming, I'd pick Elvis EVERY time.
Ooh ooh ooh Presley! You could never belong to just one person. There was far too much about you. One must take time to calm down after watching you ❤❤❤❤
This was the original clip of Suspicious Minds in the Original release of Elvis-That's The Way It Is... and the very best version with fantastic ending. Elvis was the best.
Every performance was a workout!!! Can't take your eyes off him! 😎 Have you heard his performance of "Are You Lonesome Tonight", where he gets tickled and can't stop laughing? It's priceless!!!
@@johngibsonmusic The one I mentioned is actually an audio with clips added. I meant it mainly for you to enjoy. He changed, " do you gaze at your doorstep and wish I was there" to, "do you gaze at your bald head and wish you had hair". A man in the front row took his toupee off and waved it around. When Elvis saw it he cracked up!! One of the backup singers was so steadfast with her part and that just added to it! Great "medicine" for a bad day. Your reaction to the regular version will be great, though. 😎
Yep, I’m going to be shallow. If I’d have been that woman, with THAT pure specimen of magnificence strut like that towards me? Going to have to mop me up off that stage floor. Holy cow. And the magnificent Ronnie Tutt.
Hi john it is barbara from australia that was fantastic you really love the king i think the whole world does love your reaction at the end your eyes said it all love your work it is great you are fantastic god bless and take care
Finally someone is doing this show instead of the concha show version of Suspicious Minds. Not that the other is not great. I just think he has more energy in this one and it's a midnight show which I heard he liked better.
Everthing I say about this Elvis performance will be little in the face of the incredible resoucefulness and talent of this music giant. Your reaction could not be another but to be totally dumbfounded by Elvis. By the way your sweatshirt is too beautiful, congratulations Gibson!
Just knocking it out of the park here. So much energy, It must have been tough to do 2 shows a night for a month. Colonel Parker should of done shorter engagements, like 3 or 4 days then move on. 30 days is a super workload. I think it could on contributed to his downfall, just a grueling schedule. He was amazing here, fit, healthy and looked happy.
You can tell when a song hits his soul because he will close his eyes when he sings. I'm always struck by this and can't take my eyes off his face. Watch for this moment please.
I as a life long elvis fan am glad you chose to react to this particular version of suspicious minds which in my opinion is the best all round performance that has been released! This version is from the midnight show on August 12 1970 in Vegas but for some reason the weaker version from 24 hrs earlier is more often shown and reacted to on social media! So glad this has been seen and reacted to
I’m not sure if you knew this, but Elvis was stationed in Germany during his Army days. After he first went in, he was called back to Home because his mom died. He had a really rough time after that since they were really close. Other soldiers could hear him crying at night. He loved Germany and made many long lasting relationships including his future wife. Thanks for your reactions!🤗
Really like your reactions John. Thanks. This particular show produced many show-stopping performances, including Polk Salad Annie that you reacted too, as well as this incredible version of Suspicious Minds. Keep up the great work!!
¡Qué genial! No sé si será justo decirlo, pero difícilmente habrá otro artista tan entregado a su público y, además, tan simpático y divertido de ver. Saludos desde Chile.
Elvis was the best friend i ever had in my entire life. we met when i was 17 yrs old. I walk past Graceland everyday without fail. Anyway i loved your reaction i hope you will watch more of his music videos love from Memphis Tn.
In person, he really had fun with this song, as you can see. At MSG in NYC, he literally went into the air in a karate move/jump with this song. I really enjoyed your facial reactions. Thanks for the smiles.
Been enjoying your reactions and the song choice to react to . My favorite examples would be "Proud Mary" and "Polk Salad Annie" from '72 and "Suspicious Minds" from "Aloha From Hawaii", the live broadcast. As always, I loved your reaction. I love how you single out individual band members and backing groups, unlike other reactors to music videos, and praise their contributions to the performances. Thank you for that.
