    Thanks for the great vids. Keep them coming. I'm 67 and brings back memories from when I lived in Whistler in the 1980's. (learned to ski there skiing with experts.) Living vicariously through you.

      @@rocky6162 I've actually just moved to Ottawa so I'm closer now to some better ski areas. One hour away from Calabogie Peaks resort (800 vertical) and two hours from Mt. Tremblant. Also only five hours to Killington resort where my buddy from Philadelphia has a chalet. ( 3000 vertical, 21 lifts, 74 miles of trails and 1526 acres of skiing over 5 peaks plus Pico resort. #20 on the vertical list for N. America.) At some point I'm coming back.

      Hey Josiah thanks for tuning in! I used to add in the run names on some of my videos but found it got repetitive since I ski the same mountain all the time, Most of the spots I ski are all detailed in my guide videos from last year. Exploration on the mountain and in the trees is all part of the fun of getting to know WB!

      Revi is on my hit list.
      I've skied all the other mountains you've mentioned quite a bit. Although the snow is drier, the terrain at Whis is way gnarlier than Sun Peaks, Apex, Silver Star & Biggie.

    Hey man, how long are the lines? Just curious if it’s more standing around then actually skiing

    • @HawgRiderBC
      @HawgRiderBC 2 года назад +1

      It's like driving in rush hour, you have to avoid certain runs and chairs at certain times, and always stay off the weenie runs (Emerald chair at Whistler, and Jersey Cream at Blackcomb) and you'll see much shorter lines.

    • @riseandalpine
      @riseandalpine  2 года назад +2

      @Gone viral, Robert gave a killer description, the lines in the favourite zones can be deadly on powder days, but if you know the mountain a little bit you can work around them.
      There's often a fair bit of standing around which makes interior mountains way more attractive.

    Powder.. that's a laugh. More like elephant snot. If you want powder try interior mountains. I had a Whistler pass for years and I never sked powder until I went to Sun peaks. Or apex. Or silver star. Or big white. Or the granddaddy of them all Revelstoke. Or any kootenai ski hill. Don't believe me try it. It once snowed 13 in, minus 18° at whistler, by lunch time the snow was already set up. No such thing as Whistler powder.

      I've skied it all my dude. The interior snow is most definitely King. Other than Revi, the other mountains you mentioned don't have the gnarly terrain Whistler does.
