My first was the og Arturia Minibrute back in 2013 FOR 5x the price.... which I still LOVE. The Behringer JT Mini looks like the perfect day 1 synth for learning synthesis. I love my volcas because they sound great - but also being portable; I can sit at the breakfast nook with my coffee, or sit on the counch in the afternoon, or throw it into my backpack for sitting on the train. Does the JT Mini take batteries ?
Oh! I didnt realize these were out yet. Very happy to see that they accept cc for its controls. Midi goblin should work as a patch librarian and patch morpher for the jt mini
Where are they currently available for purchase? I see that Sweetwater has them listed, but not shipping until June of this year. I’m in the US, for what it’s worth.
Haha it’s surprisingly easy to get to all the knobs and sliders even with big hands. I really like the spec on the Uno but I’ve heard they have problems with the components.
I think because it is so small, as a first synth where you still might have to learn to understand what everything does, it gets confusing quickly. The ms1 is more expensive, but I think larger and more simple to understand. Ps i have the jt4000 and in the studio its all so hidden away that i barely grab it
@robbiefithon yes... I tought so. Cant wait to get my hands on. I loved the VSpro and JT4000. Also ordered the Phara-O... But on Gears4Music. But that seems quite more of a problem. Never seen any videos of the Phara-O.
Man, between these Behringers and the NTS-1, you could have a Chewbacca style bandolier that would give you any sound you want.
I’d definitely like to see that!
Cool, too late for me to be my first one, but I’m still getting it!!!!

No batteries but usb powered. I’ve been using it out and about with my MBP and Ableton Move as an audio interface. Very small and powerful set up.
Yeah it’s a great addition to any set up. Awesome sounds!
No batteries but will run from any USB power bank

It looks and sounds great! The features are amazing, esp the motion control. Already pre-ordered it from Sweetwater.
Yeah its feature list is amazing for such a small synth. Sounds awesome too! I think you’ll really enjoy it.
Can you tune the vcos independently?
A Deepmind 6 or 12 is the best first synth by far, this is a cute add-on
The first reason I gave was price. The Deep Mind 6 is an awesome synth but this is around 1/5th of the price.

Yeah I think that’s the time frame for delivery everywhere right now. Seems Behringer underestimated the demand.
@ Well, nothing left to do but to put my patience to the test then. Thank you very much for your response!
I ordered mine from Andertons Music (UK) on January 18 and it arrived today (Chicago).
@@jamietopolski4019 Yooo thanks for the tip! You rock!
I had been looking at the IK multimedia Uno synth, but the JT mini looks really interesting. Biggest problem for me are my giant gorilla hands.

Yeah I agree. A lot of menu diving with the JT4000. Seems they sacrificed a lot of usability for the sake of making it as small as possible.
Man... I ordered this 1.5 month ago at the great T. Bought at the time it went online to buy. I still wait. No date. Nothing.
Yeah they’re on preorder everywhere. Seems Behringer underestimated the demand.

I’d probs get something with a proper keyboard. MS1 maybe.
take the damn plastic protector off, its a BEHRINGER!
Haha I have a habit of leaving those plastic screen protectors on things! 🤣
Why should Behringer send you a device? Are you a big RUclipsr? Another nerd who wants to make a name for himself with a Behringer synth.
