  • Hello 👋 my name is Sara. Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby / @crochetforbaby In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this fast and easy raglan top pullover sweater or crochet jersey for boys and girls. To make this crochet baby sweater or crochet jumper in the following sizes just use the recommended yarn and crochet hook as mentioned in my tutorial.
    Nathan sweater pattern #201
FOLLOWING SIZES ARE STANDARD AND NOT EXACT:
1-2 years use light #3 baby yarn with a 2.5mm hook
2-3 years use light #3 baby yarn with 3.5mm hook
4-6 years use light #3 baby yarn with 4.5mm hook
7-8 years use medium #4 yarn with 5.5mm hook
8-10 years use medium #4 yarn with 6.5mm hook
Here's the tutorial for smaller cardigan sweater • Crochet pullover sweat...
For this crochet raglan top pullover sweater video tutorial I used light #3 Lion brand Mandala yarn and a 3.5mm Crochet hook. Here’s the link for yarn and hooks that I used.
    270 grams -2 Skeins mandala yarn @ Amazon :amzn.to/31RS5t6

I love your tutorials...very clear...i especially like that you give stitch counts and that you show the first and last stitch which is often where mistakes are made. I also like that you say whether the beginning chains are part of the stitch count or not. I've made many of your pieces...great work Sara!

Thank to you for this tutorial. I am crocheting this sweater for my daughter. But my pull over after the increases in the neckline is getting bunched up. It's not lying flat. It has more like a baloony/bubbly fabric down the neckline.
I have unraveled it twice but the problem persists. Any idea what I am doing wrong to make it poofy just below the neckline.

    Hi there,
I’m having a go at this pattern, it’s my first time crocheting an item of clothing. I’m having difficulty with the second row of double crochetes, each time I do it I am left with 2 surplus stitches once I’ve reached 99 so I can’t finish the row. If I were to finish the sequence, I would have 102 stitches.

So I just love this pattern and all your video patterns. You have a special way of teaching it that makes it so easy. I’ve made this for my God son who is 4 with a 4 yarn and 4.5 hook. I wanted to make a matching one for his younger brother size 24 month. What size hook would I go down to for a 4 yarn? Thanks so much for all you do!

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  11 месяцев назад +1

Hi! If your tension is loose then use a 3mm hook if not then use the 3.5mm with #4 yarn. If you notice it getting too big with the number of rows I do simply reduce one or two rows for the yoke, body and sleeves. I hope this helps.

    Hi Sara,
Just about to make this pullover... When I chain 68, it only comes up to about 36 cm . It's probably because I'm using different yarn. I'm quite new to crocheting :) the back of the yarn says it's no 2 (fine). I am using the right hook (3.5 mm) as it's suggested 2.5-3.5 mm. It is a yarn from hobbii.fr rainbow organic cotton 8/4. I've made extra chains to make up it up for about 44 cm. But just wondering if I should chain more for the sleeves?
    Really appreciate your help
All the best from France from another Sara :)

ah, just watched the beginning of the video again more carefully and you say you're using no 3. That's what it is... Should I still chain more for the sleeves? Probably yes....

Looks cute. I’m looking for 12-18 month. Not sure where you get measurements and hook size and yarn thickness for different ages?

Great tutorial! I have completed and have detected a fault in my work. The centre back seam where each row is joined with a slip stitch is not straight .I kept checking that i had the right amount of stitches throughout. Is there an easy answer or reason for this? Thanks
