Chet has elevated his game to another level offensively in that he is MUCH better off the dribble. Apparently he worked with KD in the offseason extensively and it's showing. OKC really had an off game again shooting (they're not shooting 3s very well) but it hasn't mattered yet at all as they're blowing teams out with small ball and defense. Caruso has now played 4 games/84 minutes and has 5 pts. on 2-15 shooting. He had better pick it up offensively. Defense is great but he's going to become unplayable.
Don’t worry about Caruso. Good defense is easy because effort can take you a long way. Offense is more difficult because you have to fit in the flow of the team to get shots. He’ll definitely figure it out. I think he’s gonna be second team with Hartenstein most games and they’re gonna crush people. That’s my opinion, anyway.

Caruso has now played 4 games/84 minutes and has only 5 pts. on 2-15 shooting. One of the reasons they made the trade is because he supposedly shoots 3s better than Giddey. That's just not going to work. Caruso will be completely unplayable in the playoffs unless he massively improves.

We won, so that's always a good thing. There were some things that I loved seeing of course, like AJ + Dieng's play. Caruso obviously fits in perfectly with this team. However, I think that we need to be better on offense moving forward. I do believe that SGA is taking too many 3's, maybe Caruso too. Instead of getting a rhythm in SGA fashion by getting easier shots in the mid-range while also getting to the FT Line, he's making a point to take many more 3-pointers rather than doing what he's best at. It's affecting the shooting numbers and the offense overall when he is not his normal attacking self. I beg them not to fall for this trap. I'm not saying to abandon it completely, take a couple more 3's than last year. But so far it's been so many more 3 attempts from him that it's hurting his game & the offense overall a bit. We've been great enough on defense to overcome this, but eventually that won't keep working.
SGA is not a good 3-point shooter. Let's hope he doesn't turn into Tatum and just up 16 3s a night making 4 of them. That's Tatum. Make the other team defense you. Don't defend yourself jacking up 3s.

The only way to get better at in game 3s is to take in game 3s they might drop a little bit later in the year but he DOES need to shoot them now
