- L’8 marzo del 2020 la Collezione Peggy Guggenheim chiudeva le porte al pubblico. A un anno esatto da quel primo lockdown e nella Giornata internazionale dei diritti della donna, una guida d’eccezione accompagna virtualmente il pubblico nelle sale di Palazzo Venier dei Leoni: Karole P. B. Vail, direttrice del museo e nipote della collezionista Peggy Guggenheim.

Ho sempre pensato che là dove esiste l'artista sia indispensabile la presenza di chi lo sappia riconoscere. Peggy Guggenheim è stata anche generosa, non solo con gli artisti che ha sostenuto ma anche con il pubblico, invitandolo gratuitamente a godere della bellezza dell'arte. Vorrei una macchina del tempo per rivivere quel periodo di grande fervore e novità. Ringrazio per il regalo di questo video, bellissimo.

perfect intro to Peggy Guggenheim - very well written and presented with a pleasing pace for a short tour of the collection. I even like the way the director casually walks passed the Bacon at the top of the stairs without mentioning it.

Thank you for your tour, it was wonderful and brought back memories of us being there in 2019. It was an amazing experience being able to wander through the museum which we enjoyed very much. Hopefully, we can visit Venice again and return to the Palazzo. Thank you. ❤️

Va bene che ormai siamo europei però , visto che siamo in Italia, forse sarebbe rispettoso fare il video in lingua italiana oltre che in inglese , anzichè mettere solo i sottotitoli in italiano. Pardon l' osservazione , però è a scopo esclusivamente accrescitivo e non per criticare il video ,che è molto ben fatto .
Gentilissim*, essendo la direttrice Vail madrelingua inglese, abbiamo preferito che conducesse la visita nella sua lingua madre, e sottotitolare il video. Avendo un ampio pubblico nazionale e internazionale, il museo fa sempre del suo meglio per produrre tutti i materiali - testi e video - in doppia lingua.
@@PeggyGuggenheimCollection Se avrete tempo di farne uno in italiano saremo felicissimi!!! Intanto, però, complimenti vivissimi per questa iniziativa!! Saluti e buon lavoro.

Bellissimo ma nel 1948 non c'era più la guerra civile in Italia, finì nel 1945 min 4.55
Gentilissim*, la guerra civile a cui si fa riferimento è quella greca (1946-49), motivo per cui la Grecia non partecipò alla Biennale del '48 e Peggy Guggenheim poté esporre la sua collezione nel padiglione greco, allora vuoto

Siamo in Italia la signora dovrebbe parlare in Italiano, caso mai con sottotitoli in lingua inglese. Se poi si vuole pensare a un pubblico internazionale credo che i sottotitoli siano sufficienti! Sebbene la collezione sia privata mi auguro che la signora sappia parlare la lingua italiana tanto apprezzata nel mondo; viene detto spesso:"...la vostra bellissima lingua!". Ebbene, quale migliore occasione per dimostrarlo!
