What amazes me is that these splendid maneuvers are made so very close to the most unforgiving ground. No room for error here!
If I saw this flying overhead without knowing what it is I’d swear it was a real one. Magnificent! Gold star. 🌟
one of the best pilots I've seen
he's World Champion F3a, you may know.
Best RC pilot I have seen - hands down - amazing!! Then when you see how big that bad boy is at the end........wow!
you know he’s a great pilot when he doesn’t move!
The best
Of course. He’s the Red Baron!
That was some good flying skills. I loved the scale of the build. The loops were something to see
I've read loads about the maneuverability of this plane but this really puts it into perspective. Incredible.
Awesome model, stunning pilot, beautiful flight....
Probably the best I've seen in over fifty years of flying.
When the Fokker first went inverted, I was like,"alright, THAT is Awesome; when he went up t high altitude to do those two perfect power off loops I was like,"What!? Thats AMAZING!!!" But doing the landing when he dragged a wingtip I was like,"Aw, Come On!" That was some of the best flying fixed I have ever seen, Bravo! Bravo!
Air-headed Aviator can’t really blame him for touching a wingtip on landing, the fokker is very sensitive to any wind. Even experienced full size Dr1 pilots have a hard time not tipping the wings on landing, the modified axe handles on the real Dr1s bottom wing serve a purpose.
@@konigspanther6241 Uh, and it was an unpowered landing.
These landings are typical most of them are tipping over so it's no pilot isuue
Incredible skills on show here❤
That is one hell of a model, flown by one hell of a pilot, his spacial awareness is something to behold. Well done Gernot Bruckmann.
Great flying. Snoopy eat your heart out.
Curse you, Red Baron!!
@Prestallar codez He's a cartoon? Oh no! My life is over!
@Prestallar codez I know.
Snoopy needs a Camel, to the same scale!
Higher, the king of the sky, he's flying too fast and he's flying too high. Higher, an eye for an eye, now the legend will never die. Wonderful piloting, awesome little pilot and beautiful and lovely model. Greetings from South Africa.
Really illustrates the maneuverability and tight turning radius of the design...
it's flying 3d ha not really comparable to the real deal
Yes it does
Power to weigh ratio far exceeds the real plane
@@williamdrabble8781 That I believe. By 1 or 2 orders of magnitude?
@@williamdrabble8781 I wonder what this one might be? The Dr.1 was roughly 8:1
Give a little person the remote and let him get in and fly it ! That plane is AWESOME ! The remote pilot is a true Ace.
I don't think I've ever seen such skilled piloting of an rc plane!👌
Hammer !!!!
RC MEDIA WORLD i like RCs and all, but these big ones annoy the hell outta me, because He couldve ordered a full size kit, and built a legit replica for the same price
@@granddukeofmecklenburg And then all he needs is the pilots license which doesnt cost anything at all, not anything at all, and the renewals, and the inspection of the aircraft etc.
Yeah just cool beans all of it, no issues what so ever there, especially when you read about WW1 replicas at theaerodrome and forums like that.
LOL
@@ToreDL87 you just crashed your RC in a ditch...rebuild time
Beautiful and it's very maneuverable, expertly flown. I get a little nervous seeing low-level aerobatica. Please don't crash that beautiful aircraft. Baron von Richthofen would be proud of you. Then dead stick landing.. wow.
Very skilful pilot and stunning plane. Thank you for the show.
Dummy pilot's scarf blowing in the wind was icing on the cake!
That and he had no goggles.
The baron lives again. That could be the real thing. Fantastic! What a pilot.
That Fokker is huge! That's the biggest Fokker I've ever seen. What an impressive little Fokker. What kind of airplane is this anyway?
My impression was that it behaved like a silly Fokker.
SR-71.
oh fok
The one that bombed our chip shop in the war !!
That was no bomber but a single seater fighter plane ,dude!
The pilot and the plane were as one! Excellent!
And the pilot has mad skills! It is fascinating to watch his daring feats! And so close to an active airstrip! Wow!
Unglaublich, was dieses Modell kann. Das Original war sicher auch eines der besten Kunstflugzeuge die je gebaut wurden.
Who would have thought a wooden doll could fly a plane like that! ;-)
Finally, an RC plane that is slow and easy to film!
It just doesn't get any better than this!!
that's how the red Barron's Fokker should be flown . that's how a great pilot can be honored ..it's really amazing
Beautiful aircraft, beautiful piloting.
An absolutely beautiful scale model, and without a doubt the BEST flying I've ever seen! The guy at the controls is a master!
Amazing flying and amazing filming! Thanks to all involved.
Now that's crabbing ! Thank you Red Baron !
Very competent flying control. The modeller certainly knows and understands his model well and uses that knowledge to the best advantage. It also certainly helps to have a reliable and powerful engine up front. I'll bet HE doesn't fiddle with the mixture every time he starts the engine. Enjoyable viewing.

I have few words to express how entertaining and spectacular this airplane and pilot are! A Fokker Triplane, one of the greatest aircraft ever conceived doing incredible things, some ancient tri-motor on approach & landing, and a community not wound up tight about overly zealous rules & safety precautions! Wow! Spectacular!
Might as well just build a full scale non-rc airplane at that point.
Great job!
That's what I was thinking! I mean, this thing is certainly impressive, but if you're going to build something that big, why not just build it full scale and fly in it yourself?
gjm1953 - I always see this unoriginal comment on giant scale videos. RC pilots fly RC because they like the challenge and experience. Not because we want to fly full scale.
RC planes can also do things no full scale could dream of doing.
building a large scale RC is NOT the same as a human piloted aircraft, the regulation alone are voluminous for manned aircraft, as it should be. the maneuvers you just watched would fold up a normal manned fokker unless it was in the several hundred thousand dollar range.
cant just be me who finds it to be like a childish hobby dont get me wrong but watching a smaller version of something do whacky stunts and cool ass spins and barrel rolls is just boring being in the air is a different application to driving on the ground but id much rather go round a track circuit instead of taking an rc car to a shit miniature track.
Chretze just need to make sure that the focker could withstand your weight
What a superb design for the task. If the DR1 could do all of this in 1917 then no wonder the Flying Circus squadron killed so many allied pilots. The sideways sustained stalls, the long inverted flying, the vertical controlled hovering. The thing is nearly a fixed wing helicopter only 14 years after the Wright Brothers cracked the flight control puzzle.
Impressive.

>Insert edgy Santos Dumont comment, bcuz RUclips, lol
Fantastic candidate for a scale rotary engine, then, with the sound, it would indeed be the whole package!
Herr Richthofen himself was helping this person pilot the plane. Beautiful plane, excellent flight. Thanks for sharing

That’s awesome 👏. Super pilot 👍👍😃🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Great plane too!
Beautiful aircraft, and great flying skills !!
Un vol Magnifique, un programme accro à l'ancienne
tout en douceur, tout en légèreté.. un RÉGAL.
BRAVO.
One of the best pilots I've never seen! ♠️
That's a big Fokker! Flown by a very confident pilot with some superb flying skills!
the Red Baron called...he wants his plane back......
No he didn't
I dont think so, i think he's dead in 2014
@@giorgiocaron9121 The Red Baron died age 25... So no he didn't die in 2014
Yall dont get the joke do you?

That's Gernot Bruckmann doing the piloting, one of the worlds greatest. Phenom!
I love this plane , its bloody awesome !!!

death from above, you're under fire
stained red as blood he's roaming higher
That is a beautiful and amazing RC. It is not until a person walks up to it that you know it is a RC! Otherwise it looks like a real aircraft and not a RC. Thanks for sharing this!!
that was freaking sweet!
You may not be the best flyer, but your certainly among them.GREAT !!! job of flying, great video, beautiful airplane,Thanks so much for posting, really enjoyed watching, What a great airplane. Bravo.
Awesome plane and great flying!! greetings from BC Canada.
Das ist groβ. Ein reales Flugzeug kommt. Leb wohl. Danke.
Holy sheet what an awesome show! Great smooth flying so low and that model... wow!
The level of skill all round in this is unbelievable. Absolutely awesome.
Excellent example of how the Dr1 was able to "stand on it's tail" in combat and shoot up the underbelly of an enemy plane.
Vive les allemands ......👍💌🇩🇿
Ils ont de la tête dans tous les domaines 💙
That's some seriously good pilot skills. A+!
Best pilot, best plane design. AWESOME!!!
who needs CGI when you have these......belongs in a film stunning ☺
Superb piloting that clearly demonstrated why the DR-1's were so hard to beat in a dogfight...extreme maneuverability, thanks to it's inherent instability and generous wing area. Unfortunately, all that wing area that enables such maneuvering comes with a price...Low speed. Interestingly, also clearly demonstrated was the reason German ground crews added axe handles to the wingtips...A propensity to drag a wing or ground loop in anything less than a perfect landing. Great video!
This model does have some advantages over the real DR-1. The power to weight ratio is much higher than a full scale, mainly due to the fact that there is almost no payload weight, I.e., no pilot or heavy armament. This also eliminates the need for a heavier structure. No way could a real DR-1 do the low speed full power high alpha fly by
Nice flying. Oh wow!
A beautiful gorgeous dr 1 the best I have ever seen and well flown by the pilot. These take many hours to build and what a feeling it is when the maiden flight goes without a hitch . I build and fly these but not that size . Congratulations to everyone who were involved in it wow
the dead stick landing was the best part
Very nice DR1 Triplane!! Great piloting too. Thanks
Spectacular RC Flight demonstration ends, electric bush planes “allow us to introduce ourselves”.
The controller deserved first prize plus a separate special decal for display on the side just near the pilot. Its amazing how uniquely this model both life size and this scale performed amazingly the same.I find this particular model performs and maneuvers like no other type which sets it apart from the rest.Again hats off to the pilot/controller.Thanks
Great precision low level flying. an absolute pleasure to watch. The servos on a machine that big must be the size of house bricks ha ha! wonderful stuff! :-)
That was very cool. And the operator has crazy skills. Hats off from America!
At this point you may as well just build the real thing
Trolls like you copy and paste the same old tired comment on every large-scale RC plane video and typical idiots like your comment. THEN why don't you spend the money and hundreds of hours getting your full-size replica plane legal to fly and risk your life flying it in front of spectators not willing to pay much money???
@@riproar11 Chill out man
@@riproar11
It was just a fun comment.
Had a bad day mate?
@@riproar11 Strange, this is the first time I saw anything like this RC thing, and I decided to write the exact same comment, for fun, until scrolling down noticing that, obviously, someone beat me to it...
Because the weight of the human and it's required safety features make it much less maneuverable and greatly reduce how cool the tricks look.
Ооооооооо! Даже не предполагал, что *гаражный стеллаж* в сборе способен к полёту!!!
Awesome aircraft! Put a kid in it and get more views!
Liberty Wagon lol yeeeees!

Haha that would be awesome but I don't think being arrested for child endangerment is worth the ad revenue :P
How about a midget?
Na, midgets just have tiny legs and arms, they got normal sized torsos and massive heads, so probably wouldn't work
Probably the best RC flying skills I have ever seen.
Amazing display of skill
HOW COULD YOU NOT LIKE THAT PLANE ...EXCELLENT
ELITE PILOTING SKILLS
Poetry in motion! I guess this is how the real ones would have handled if they had hi powered motors and heavy duty airframes... Spectacular flying!
This answers the question: "What if Anthony Fokker had access to vastly more powerful engines?" This model has a power to weight ratio that nobody in World War One could ever hope for.
Is this a real Red Baron triplane so cool ! It looks so real The pilot that’s controlling this airplane is unbelievable AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Best I've seen
That Ju-52/3m landing in the background. Marvellous combination.
Bi and triplanes always amaze me with how much lift they get at low speed.
That is why they were made, maneuverability over speed. But many allied aircraft could not climb as fast as the dreidecker, except another dreidecker! Which is why the allied forces made them too!
@@jeffreyyoung4104 To correct you, the Fokker Triplane design was taken from that of the British Sopwith Triplane
@@kyleJohn1997I can't answer that question as to who did what, and when, but what I read about early aircraft, everyone tried all of the many different designs, and the bi and tri planes had the best lift over mono wing aircraft, and that was due to engine power, and overall speed of the aircraft. Had they had an engine that could perform and weigh less than what they had, they may have used mono winged aircraft due to the less air drag and lower weight.
But since they had low power engines, and they needed fast lift in order to out maneuver the other aircraft, they did what they had to do to get the job done.
@@jeffreyyoung4104 Maybe do some research then you'll find that the Sopwith Triplane was the first Triplane Aircraft
There’s RC pilots and then there’s this guy! Remarkable talent!
thats just nuts!
my God that's impressive
Was diese (Bauart) Maschine kunstflugmäßig zu leisten imstande ist, ist unglaublich, natürlich auch ein "Superfunker" als Pilot. Die vielen perfekten Slips, phantastisch gesteuert !!
super video
Nothing RC about this flight. The aircraft looked real, the pilot looked real, the engine sound was awesome, the flying skill was second to none, the aerobatic program was spot on, literally the aircraft looked like a real airplane performing. I would have to say that after watching RC flights on RUclips for years, this is by far the best one I've ever seen. The flight was so smooth. None of that herky jerky RC movement. And then the Bob Hoover engine out maneuvers and landing was the icing on the cake. Well done sir !!!!!!
You could take people for a ride in that machine and charge them.I would go for a ride sure would be scary fun.
He COULDVE ordered a full size kit, and built a legit replica for the same price
I would like to congratulate you on having the largest prop model I have ever seen but also flying skills second to none. Your control of that model is amazing and the manoeuvres like the real thing wow...you could almost sit in the cockpit yourself!

If you click on you will see that the plane is scaled at 1:1,5 and the engine is a 7 cylinder 800cc radial.
Thanks for the info. Exceptional in all aspects, especially the fine camera work to showcase it all!
Well that was amazing. Just a little bit bigger and you can do it in the cockpit. Super piloting skills and super sweet plane.
