As a sinnoh fan why does every other region before it get all the love with a proper game remake and im stuck on platinum since bdsp is just a worse version and legends arceus is great but its not sinnoh

I don’t think it was there intention to give Sinnoh a worse remake when they made BDSP. We have to understand that when these games were being dev, it was peak COVID times so we can’t blame them for having to shortcut some of these things.
In fact i think it was amazing that they made two “sinnoh” games in the first place.
Not saying it’s fair but at least GF tried to give sinnoh fans some attention
it would’ve made a massive difference if they just included the distortion world plot and lets go style graphics. it would have been mind blowing if they gave it the ORAS treatment though. imagine if they also made it a sequel to how platinum ended and added z moves or something. or alternate universe or something

@PopCulturePb I had red version. I picked charmander first. All of a sudden, there were gameboys everywhere. We were trading and battling in class, on the bus, anywhere. My Charizard was like 30+ levels higher than my other pokemon lol.

On the “Captain Surge” scenario, I would like to continue the redemption arc with Silver seeking a mentor to take the place of his father and Surge was getting ready to take an E4 position, anyways. So Captain Surge trains Silver to be his successor and he takes the new gym, not by competition, but by Surge passing the baton to someone worthy. This sets up Surge for E4 and helps to finish Silver’s redemption arc.
Wouldn't it be cool if the fighting type dojo and the psychic type gym in Saffron actually merged to become the first "mixed" gym, with Pokemon of both types that thematically fit? They'd use Meditie, (Mega) Medicham and (Mega) Gallade of course, but also special attacking Lucario, Mienshao and Infernape! And physical attacking Galarian Slowpoke, Malamar and Veluza. Annihilape for the supernatural flair. I think that could be cool.
Red, Blue, Silver and Ethan(Gold) could be the new Elite 4

A tunnel from blackthorn to mount silver would be an epic victory roadish route.
Misty was considered to be an elite 4 member in gold and silver before the went with Koga. So her being an elite 4 member 30 years wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. A possible replacement for her as gym leader could be Tracy to make him canon to the games, Green/Leaf since in let's go she is first met in Cerulean cave and she can be battled in cerulean city.

How perfect would it be to have the Pokemon League, or even the championship battle, hosted at Mount Silver with Silver being the champion? I would love that. During your journey through Mt SIlver you will learn step by step how Silver developed himself from being a jerk rival to a champion. I agree with most of your picks for the Elite Four, I would change Bruno for someone more interesting. Your idea with Clear is brilliant, she will mostly follow the same route as Lance.
You guys did a brilliant reference to Sinnoh btw, the fire type got ignored with the Gyms and the Elite Four 😂
New Indigo Elite Four:
-Brock taking over for Bruno with a sandstorm team. He comes first as a callback to OG games
-Misty taking over for Lorelei with a rain team. She comes second
-Janine third, once again taking over for her father Koga. Emphasis on poisoning/status/evasion strats
-Silver, the dark type specialist, comes last
-Clair, the dragon champion. Much older and wiser and very powerful

Love all the ideas of the potential gym updates and how they could work.
For some reason, I think it would be fun to see 2 active official gyms running in Saffron City.
If the games were larger, potentially in that open-sandbox style, Saffron could be larger in its own right.
And most importantly, have an updated Pokedex. I don't expect all the Pokemon, but if starting in only Kanto, have about 300-400 Pokemon. Then an extra 200 in Johto (400 Johto Dex), and another 100 in the Sevii Islands (150-200 Sevii Dex).
But this breakdown was awesome!
Really enjoyed it. I think it would be great to hear you guys do this sort of update for each region.
Lastly though, what would these games be called?
If Blaine is going from fire to ice, he needs a Darmanitan too!
I'd consider Eusine for the elite 4, or he takes over the Ecruteak or Cerulean gym.
i think one of the largest components for making a possible Kanto/Johto remake, with or without shifting the time-period that it's set-in, would be redesigning the *aesthetic* for both regions. Would we want this redesigned to the original 90's Sugimori art-style, not only for characters and Pokemon, but for buildings and technology as well? Do we want the redesign to reflect more of the Gen 4 art-style, closer akin to the aesthetics of FR/LG & HG/SS? Do we want the redesign to be more like contemporary aesthetics, based around Gen 9 or 10? Again, this doesn't only apply to the designs for iconic characters and Pokemon from Kanto & Johto, but the buildings, architecture, technology, etc. Do we want Sugimori 90's Bill Laboratory in HD 3D? Do we want HG/SS aesthetic for Violet City? Do we want Gen 9 aesthetics for Whirl Islands and Cerulean Cave in HD open-world 3D? Is it possible to blend these various aesthetic approaches into one game in a coherent way that isn't clashing tones and styles? Whatever redesign they choose, it can make or break the successful reception of the game by the fans, because nostalgia is a hell of a drug lol.
I am so excited for Gen 10 in 2026. It is gonna be so exciting to see all of the new Pokemon and to see where will be going and what the region will be called and what the starters will be.
I kinda had a similar story for a johto remake to what you guys want to do but I call them paths that will change the areas you travel to which would than change when a gym leader is fought. So you can help your Pseudo-rival which will make her weaker or you can chase your rival which will make your pseudo rival stronger. this would make a point where you can technically scale the levels of a gym because if you take one path the game can have coding for a specific level for the gym and if you take another path you have different coding
I predict a Kanto sequel game like Red 2 and Green 2, like a game that takes place right after the events of Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

1:40:20 they should give Morty Hisuian Typhlosion as well. Since Hisuian starters looks are based off of Morty, Grimsley and Hala respectively of there regions. Can say it was blessed by Ho-oh as a Cyndaquil egg which revived its Hisuian evolution form plus can have Sacred Fire. Could also be how you get your own Hisuian Typhlosion Cyndaquil egg.

I'd add Aether family since came to Kanto for Bill's help and stayed. Maybe they are in Silph Co. Lillie can have Nebby and give you a Cosmog plus do Alolan variant trades. Can then do Ultra Beast hunting too. Gladion can give you the missing Silvally too.
When they make it open world like they could even, in the Postgame, give u a Gym-Leader position.
Lets say, they give u the choice to open a special gym, bcause u've collected all the Johto and Kanto gyms and beaten the champion 2 times and therefore can teach people how to fight.
And u can choose from 3 maybe 4 locations on the worldmap in which u can create a gym and build a new Town around it that u can "customize" with their shopkeepers stock.
That way u can centraliese your needs like stuff u need for VGC and all, or maybe u just want to be a berrie printer and "sell" your speciall berries to trainers over the internet.
They already made the first step for that in HG and SS via the safari zone.
Give us the OG 3 as starters, that being Pikachu, Evee and Jigglypuff.
The starter pokemon always have been treated like endagered species, so let us see that through conservation efforts, their population has stableliesed on certain routes.
honestly I'd want it to be open world like scarlet and violet, but for them to actually use the routes. aka your weaker wild pokemon would be closer to towns and routes and your stronger pokemon would be away from towns and routes. The further you get from civilations the more aggressive the Pokemon get. etc, etc.
Also I don’t need it to be open world. I’d like it to have some big areas that feel expansive, like maybe the rock tunnel, mt moon and seafoam islands, but I don’t want it to be like S&V or even LA. All I’ve ever wanted since I was a kid when gen 1 first came out was an N64 mainline Pokémon game that followed a similar structure to the 3D Zelda games,up to BOTW, which had linear progression but still felt like huge adventures. The closest a Pokémon game has ever got to this for me was Sword and Shield but that didn’t totally hit the mark. If I could use a more modern game to base the structure on it would be Xenoblade as those games have huge areas to explore but are still connected in a linear way to progress the story and have you move through the world, that’s literally all they would need to do in terms of format to make an incredible Pokémon game. It never needed to go open world. If they could do that with a kanto remake I would be very happy
Pokémon is great when being Pokémon, especially Japanese as its origin. The added fun features can work.
I know they wouldn't do this, but Pryce should totally die. His whole thing is the harshness of winter and the changing of the seasons. It could be cool to show the changing of the seasons of life!

I CANNOT Agree more that this game should not be a KANTO REMAKE!!! Its gotta be a KANTO GAME!!! I really would like to see that direction of Kanto and Johto being merged into one giant region!!!! 30 Years feels like a great timespan for a game like this too, a long enough timespan for stuff to change, like you said, the Lake of Rage being changed!!! As for an evil team, I think just like how we've been through the same Kanto over and over again, I think a different evil team would be refreshing, especially since we have seen Team Rocket in 2 points of time, AKA RBY and GSC. The way you guys are able to come up with these ideas off the fly like when you were looking at the Pokémon you could find in Ilex forest and getting type changes, its the smallest things that really feel like a difference!!!

Gen 1 had a daycare, but you could only leave 1 Pokemon and it was 1 exp per step, so it wasn't really useful. The location was the route below cerulean city (Misty's gym)
I do think it should be set in the future instead of a remake, i would want the games about 100-200 years in the future. You can still do ancestor characters, stories, myth and lore about red, green, blue and yellow, maybe even the elite four.
I would like to see Pokemon transform into new types (mainly the Safari zone Pokemon), the region is filled with poison types, so will they become poison or will they be ground or psychic to have a advantage, or could they possibly become dark or grass types to counter the psychic/ground types, will there still be as many poison, water and normal types as before, i think that's what makes a revisit more interesting, (i say revisit not remake as a remake would mean the same game a revisit just implies returning to the same region)
Have newer Pokemon in the wild (you can do Kanto forms) and have some of the original 151 Pokemon who where in the normal routes now only be in the safari zone as a way to conserve them as they can't compete in the wild with the newer Pokemon who moved there.
I would prefer a non open world game but i am not against a open world.
I would want larger more exploratory routes more in line with gen 5 (the only thing i praise gen 5 for)
I don't think we need johto but i would like the seveii islands, gen 2 is special for having gen 1 but having it made the game have terrible pacing and level scaling due to the second region, i would rather have a better level pacing and one region, then just have johto because johto has kanto.

I don't want another "refresher" remake for Kanto nor do I think a Kanto game where every character is just older or a child of an older character is that interesting, if they're gonna revisit Kanto they should treat it like a Zelda game, particularly Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom: Use the familiar setting and familiar characters to highlight how far the series has came MECHANICALLY. Take a break from inventing new designs and focus everything on the ultimate gameplay experience. (and I know the Zelda games have some new characters as well but the core is still almost always "Link and Zelda VS Ganon in Hyrule" and it's always a success cause the games are just that good)

Red and Misty are married and Red would be like a Pokemon world version of the CIA who goes around defeating bad guys from Team Neo Rocket and Red’s son/daughter is the Viridian City Gym Leader
Pallet Town would have become much more populated because Red made the name of the town become very famous
Johto would’ve become much more modernized, they went from being this old looking region to a place with skyscrappers in the main cities like Violet City
Why do they keep making dream games 😂 (I'm saying I would want them) But knowing GF they would throw a curvesball or Legends title on it. Realistically if we got a Johto+Kanto game i'd hope for a Sword and Shield style to keep the routes grounded but I know they'd make money off of Legends Mew or something.
Man what if you meet Oak's ancestor and he's a kid/teenager like the protagonist and he's like young Oak from the movies and draws Pokémon for the Pokédex.
If they just do the same basic Kanto again I will be so disappointed. Kanto is the most boring region at this point so I want to see them make it feel bigger and more interesting, add new areas, whole new characters and story, new Pokémon. I just want a new game based on Kanto, not another remake of the original games
I really hope that we don't get new Kanto or Johto games. Gen 1 and 2 suck man😂. Like I'd rather them give games to regions that haven't been revisited like they're doing with Kalos or Unova. Or focus on new games and ideas. We've gone back to Kanto 3 times already after the original games. And Johto already got perfect remakes to most people
