Not only flanker’s energy retention is f*cked in the game but for some reason they made this plane literally unable to even just point its nose above horizon at 300kph and less speed while F-15 (has only 0.1 higher TWR - 1.5 vs 1.4) and F-16 (has 0.3 less TWR - 1.1 vs 1.4) easily can go vertical even at 200kph and perform complete vertical loop
Flare faster and show the flanker your belly, pulling negative g towards them. It’ll put the flare between the missile and your aircraft so it sees the flare

you can force a one circle for first turn on the merge and after that it depends if they are smart enough to ditch into a rate or not

@@AeroTurtle Not sure but the WT wiki says the J-11 is 570kg heavier so its a bit of a boat.

The flanker, being a jet we know is severely underperforming in energy retention specifically, seems like a terrible choice of opponent to demonstrate this.
I would beg to differ. The flanker and F-15C are pretty much competitors. At least irl. Plus this shows the contrast of both aircraft.

@@AeroTurtleit’s drag in game files has it underperform because it it was preforming correctly it would be a bit unfair
@@AeroTurtle The speed bleed from turning is approximately 2.5x the amount it should be, there’s an outstanding bug report on this and Squishface has a short video outlining the problem

How does the C compare to the A in terms of flight performance? I know it’s a little heavier, but can it compete with aircraft such as the Mirage 2000?
The C feels like it has more power. A probably pulls slightly better. But this is just off the top of my head.

This is an odd fight considering the f15c can win literally every time unless the player sucks, and you picked the J11A which is 600kg heavier than the already boaty Su27 fm we have ingame.. It's not even a competition in WT

Some jets burn fuel waaay too quickly. Although I will say the Gripen or Mirage4000 on low fuel are something else

What belt are you using during the dogfight? Im used to air target and not see tracers when you shot was weird for me

@@AeroTurtle can I ask why you pref stealth over Air Target?
@@MIASpartan408 The enemy cannot see when you shoot at range. Additionally it's harder for them to predict the trajectory of your bullets. Most experienced pilots will jank out of tracers easily. Stealth rounds makes it harder for them to do so. Only problem is that they're harder to aim.

@@MIASpartan408 Again, the only problem is aiming them. In an EC match it doesn't really matter since you'll almost never get in a gun fight.

Because irl they were quite bad at bvr and only good at wvr because of the R-73 which is their only good thing but they were boats and extremely heavy in air shows they are only maneuverable because they bring like basically no fuel

I wouldn't say broken. The 9M is far more dangerous in SIM
