My new joy is speed rounding on the weekends and sending both teams home before 11 and covering for rapids until early signout. Residents are in disbelief with gratitude.
Haha that is amazing. Yes it feels so nice to give residents/students a treat - it feels like it's not much but to them it's absolutely huge. Also I totally just read that as "speedrunning" haha and I was thinking man it'd be pretty legit to do a hospital shift speedrun ahaha
hey conan i respect the grind on youtube. i wonder how you deal with not getting as many views as others who put less effort into their videos as you do? are you happy with the way things are? Are you afraid it'll stagnate, or are you positive you're still just at the bottom of that exponential growth curve..
Haha thanks for the question! Actually I feel like I have been seeing a slow uptrend in the number of views each video gets which is quite rewarding for me, though obviously I would still like to continue growing that as much as I can :) At the same time, I realize I need to continue improving my presentations / video quality in order to be good enough to deserve those increased views. I'm not discouraged at this time since I'm treating the videos as something fun I'm doing on the side with the benefit of helping me learn and hopefully helping others learn as well. Down the line if I start to have more viewers I would definitely be extremely excited about that though!
