It's really cool how you interact with the animals and they seem to really understand what you're saying to them. We have a ranch too and people always ask me why do you talk to the animals they're not pets and how can you bond with them if you're going to use them as food. My answer to them is because I want to give them a good life make them happy Because they deserve that. They are fulfilling a wonderful purpose; they're going to feed me so it's my obligation to do the same for them Until Their time is up. 😊 But thank you for all you do love watching your videos! Keep up the jokes !

I thoroughly enjoy watching you work your farm. It has been a great way of passing time when I was recovering from Covid pneumonia. Now I’m hooked on your program. As you watch you with your pigs reminds me of when we raised pigs.
It reminds me of when they were that size of your pigs today and I would get in the pan with them and rub them on the side of their belly until they would lay down. I did this with everyone of them and they got to the place when they saw me in the pen they would come running to me. There were so many of them they would knock me down and I would be rolling with the pigs. Thanks for your program

I really love your videos.. I was raised on an old farm in The Mohawk Valley. I guess an hour from you to the east. I remember seeing the old red tractor all the time. When the NYS thruway went thru, most of the land was taken, My great grandparents delivered milk by horse and buggy. Even in the depression, my family gave away milk because the cows had to be milked anyway. When I came around in 1954 only a couple cows were left and 2 draft horses. All animals lived on this old farm until they passed, and were buried on the land. Love listening to you talk to the animals, just like my grandfather.

I really like those tube type insulators for wooden posts which we use a lot of here. The problem with using them on metal posts I found is with heating and cooling, contraction and expansion, and the wind moving the wires they will wear through faster where the edges of a T-post crimp the plastic tube. Its like a pressure point there and the wires rub hard on one to 3 points. When used with a wooden post the pressure is even on the whole tube and there is no crimps in the tub from tight bends. Nice new stock Trailer Pete, I've heard Corn Pro makes a decent trailer. I noticed it in the background when you were going from the pigs to the MD.

I watch this video again because I love listening to you Pete and because I love your farm and Hillary was on this one. I love your jokes & You were telling Hillary well you guys were in the barn that you had been checking the fences for the cattle and explaining you were checking the wires and having to find “ground & fault” … and then you pointed the Ford finder that you use out in the field… (But I guess you can also use it when you’re laying wires in the house and sheet rock etc.)…Anyway, you pointed the device at yourself and said,
    “I guess I’m always at Fault! “
I Laughed, and so did Hillary call mama and I’ll bet a whole lot of other people did as well.!😊❣️❣️♥️♥️ thank you to help put humor in my day. And also, thank you to explain things so that I can understand them when you’re working!!

I understand nothing about voltage, amps and all that stuff.....I only know that you do, and you are repairing the fences. That is a good thing. So happy you got some much needed rain, a much needed commodity! I appreciate the fact that you are so concerned with the fencing. When I was a little girl, (about 8-10) I lived beside my uncle's farm. He had an electric fence, that would pulse....or at least he said it would, and Not TO TOUCH it or it would knock us on our butts. I was always afraid of that fence....but it didn't keep us out of the pasture. Nope, we would go to the wooden gate, crawl over it, and go pick blueberries, or Mayflowers.....or, collect rocks, or go skiing in the wintertime.......The fence never bit me.....Have a great day. Loving your videos. Hi Hilary! Bev in Maine

It tickles me when the bull comes up to be scratched and petted. We had 105 head of steers one year and the origin South Dakota ranch missed one of them. (a Bull)
When we fed them at the line bunk he would maneuver to the end and I would scratch him as he was eating. He liked it too!
Soon he would greet me on foot or tractor when I was passing the feed lot. He became a pet, sort of.

I can remember fixing fence when I was growing up. We had all wooden posts. My dad worked for the power company so we had a supply of broken poles. The bigger ones we split. We would load the trailer up with posts, shovels, post hole diggers and fencing supplies. Then pull it all around the fence, with our John Deer H, looking for problems. The biggest problem was broken posts.

Pete, I've had the same issues with electric netting fences especially when damp. I disconnect the bottom couple of wires of the net, all rest is still live but not the wires that sag on the ground. Anything that wants to push under the fence still get zapped but I can have 3 fences up with minimal voltage drop.
