    1 cup Masoor dal (red lentils)
    2 Dried red chili
    1tsp jeera/cumin seeds
    1tsp fennel seeds
    1 medium carrot
    1 medium onion(or use 3-4 small shallot)
    1 green chili
    1 inch ginger
    1/2tsp black pepper
    1tsp salt or to taste
    1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
    2-3 sprig curry leaves, chopped
    Oil for shallow frying

      Chickpeas are so good, don't have a recipe for them, but I will be searching for recipes.

    Excellent madam. A quick question - Can I use regular channa dal or toor dal to make these patties? Will I get the same taste and texture? I don't have masoor dal in hand. Thank you.

      You can try this with any dal, but masoor dal has its own unique taste and flavor. Next time you buy masoor dal, be sure to try this recipe at least once!😊
