    Why do you hold the rear of the shoe??

  • @chuckleaf8027

    Blade is on the left... The 14 inch Makita has the blade on the right and it's harder to see the cut..

    That thing is a beast! Nice strait cuts! Have you ever used one of those chainsaw blades with a circular saw? I wonder how they would compare to that beast. it was really cool seeing that in action. Nice work!

      Thanks Justin. I have not used something like the Prazi beam saws. They do look pretty cool though.

    Nice cuts, it’s a big dog for sure. I think the saw will last longer and cut even faster if the blade is near top speed most of the time instead of bogging down and torquing through the cuts. Good cutting to ya

      Good thoughts. Despite being a lifetime carpenter, this was my first time using a saw this big.

    SECURE YOUR WORKPIECE. A saw like that shouldn't be used on a timber that's bouncing around like that.

    • @BuildALotAcres
      @BuildALotAcres  3 месяца назад

      @@NSResponder Do you think timber framers clamp every piece of wood they cut? The beam is 24’ long. Securing it to the fork 9-10’ away wouldn’t have stopped it from bouncing. I appreciate your concern though 👍

    • @NSResponder
      @NSResponder 3 месяца назад

      @@BuildALotAcres Typically, the timber is on a pair of sawhorses, and the cut is happening within a foot or two of either of them. When it can bounce like a springboard, you run a very high risk of binding the blade and getting the saw thrown at you.

      @@NSResponder Again I do appreciate the concern. I’ve been using power tools on job sites for 30 years now. Licensed in multiple trades for 22 years or so. Sometimes I do perform tasks in ways that’s other with less experience shouldn’t try. Thank you for pointing it out 👍
