Thank you all for the great feedback and thanks to Will and Naomi for the opportunity! This was a fun project that allowed me to color “outside the lines” as opposed to what I usually do with my clients who are more conservative about what they want. And I usually spend hours and hours on research alone on a logo for a client, including some sketching, multiple concepts and brand research (and charge way more of course), this was a more fun and quick project that I worked directly on Illustrator. I agree with every single critique from Will, thank you for being an inspiration for a long time. And I gotta admit, Mo Borbon won this one 🔥

Also the combination of both including the jetsons and the idea of having a predominantly 70’s mood board as the representation of the “future” makes the entire project look like a joke. I agree that the Mo Borbon is the only one I would have been satisfied with and the only one that deserved much more than the value paid!
@@Truen091 I agree that Mo's was the best but I dug Miftah's as well. 500$ logo designer missed the brief completly, just solely to follow recent 50's design trend. As a designers, we have to solve problems which are stated in brief. The 500$ really confused me because if she was going for a Jetsons look, there are many great options for retro-futuristic/space-age typography, instead she went for late 60s-70s typography, when The Jetsons are from the early 60s.
You keep mentioning wanting to use red for Mars and I think that would be a mistake. In space travel, colors are often selected for the purpose of high visibility. The white space suits and ships against the black of space, the orange landing suits are easily to spot during water landings. With that in mind, my first instinct with a Mars-focused brief like this one would be to head to the opposite side of the color wheel. See if we can get some bright greens and blues working so the design really pops not only in space, but also when contrasted against the red planet.
I think that's the difference between an appealing design and appropriate design. A red/orange is kind of obvious but at the same time I would expect it in a Mars design. Maybe if/when we do colonise Mars we would be sick of every Martian adjacent service having it and that contrasting blue would be welcome. That's too many layers deep in conscious thought. In a real life 2121 yes to blue, in our hypothetical 2021 then go for the red before any other colour.
Surely white space suits and craft are more to do with heat reflection over any aesthetic value. A dark suit would bake the occupant once exposed to the Sun.
Without a doubt, Melvin and Mo Borbon were the better designers in this challenge. No discouragement to the other designers, though. It's just that Melvin and Mo Borbon's designs and presentations were spot on. Arnold could have easily tied up with Melvin and Mo Borbon due to his equally creative design, but his presentation was not as complete as theirs was. Miftah easily ties up with Arnold, and Jessica comes right after Miftah. All in all, this was a great group of designers.
That last one would be fitting for a boardgame. It's hard to believe the rest took just 3hrs, some really great presentations there. Personally I liked the $250 one for overall design. But the $200 one hit the mark when seen in situ on the rocket. Thanks for the great video. Very interesting.
500 for the logo and 1 mockup. Wish i got that much for doing that lol. I usually get half to present a 15 page pdf. Last one would be great if it was a clothing brand maybe? Just missed the brief i think. The 150 one deserved more. He did a great work .
I feel like I'd love to do something like this because you get to have feedback not only by Will, but also his community; but hate it at the same time because I'd get to have feedback not only by Will, but also his community
To say everyone did all of this in 3 hours is crazy! It takes me hours to decide on a typeface, that might even be customised. And colours. They sketched, drafted, researched, chose fonts and colour palettes, created documents, mock-ups and mock landing pages? This is a woooow. Thanks for sharing! I always find the cheaper ones, feel like they have to prove something or feel that they aren’t worth more and then produce amazing work to combat that and prove or evidence why your idea is like that. Which is cool and confident (but not if coming from a place of insecurity) Guys. Raise your prices if you’re going to be doing all that, raise them. It’s a lot of work. The 500 dollars, was beautiful but didn’t hit the brief and still didn’t explain how she got there at all. A brand identity does normally mean mock ups and variantion of logos, but not to that extent. Which is why 500 dollars only created one. Raise your prices!
I had to scroll way too far to find at least this one comment mentioning the three hours! The last one was the only one that somehow felt like it could have been done in three hours. All the other ones MUST have spent way more time on all that they delivered. I wish that this was talked about in the video instead of leaving the impression that the last one kinda ran with the money and didn’t really deliver for it -- kinda the opposite, the last one was the only one approaching this in a professional way and also applying freelance living-wage hourly prices, too.
Love that $200 icon, only thing that slightly annoyed me is the animated one has the internal planet moving slower than the external ones, which is the opposite to how they would actually move. Still an awesome logo though! Also love that $250 one, nailed the brief 🙌🏽
I agree with a lot of the comments and like the $250 logo best. The $500 logo seems a bit too trendy to me, like something that might not last for 10, 15 years.
The 500$ one is an insult to every skilled designer. I could have made that one in MS Word and it would look the same. The cartoonish style isn't fit for a holistic appearance. He said it right it might work for T Shirts but they are not mainly in clothing business. The only woman in this competition and she failed miserably. Ouch
@@aymanezbakh2394 Well this guy here has clearly made the connection, so he related to it. Also, Solar literally means "related to the sun", so the brand name is 50% 'sun'. It couldn't be more in the brief than that.
This is your third video I watched in a row for graphic design and had a grin all the way through. Currently looking for a logo design for a future brand and I'm amazed and in awe of Mo's design it just hits the spot for me in every way for your design brief. His presentation was above and beyond too. Credit to all the graphic designers for all their hard work and creativity. Amazing work, love the videos Will and the way you analyse and critique, in a positive light of course lol!
When I saw the first one I was like "wow I haven't seen any others but this is my favourite" like I really love that! (after having seen the others, it's not my favourite but I think it is exceptional for the price! Raise your prices!) For the second one, I think it is really well made and fits the brief, but is personally my least favourite just because of my preferences! The third one is...!!!! I love it so much! Honestly, the idea of the pin location with the orbiting planets is one of the most creative ideas I've seen in a long time and it is SO pleasing to the eye. I also think it's one of the best logos in terms of brand identity and icons, as it is so recognisable! For the fourth one...just wow. It's a tough choice between this one and the third one but I am a sucker for those colours (the cyan and coral) so I'm gonna have to pick this one. It is so smooth and modern, SO pleasing to the eye, extremely creative AND very recognisable and brandable. I love it! For the last one -- it is good, I do really like it! It's really pleasing to look at and I love the hippie-style font. However, as Will said, it doesn't really fit the whole vibe of the brief. If it was for something else spacey it would be awesome
I am a uni student and Ive been in a creative block but I decided to try create a design based off this brief and it was genuinely so, so fun to create!!! It feels like some competition I am part of coz it pushes me past my limits, I would love to show you!!
i think it would be pretty cool if you dont know the prices paid for the designs and your final task is to rank them and to tell which one is the most expensive or cheapest. perfect video, as always, keep up the great work greeting from germany
The best one for me is the $120 one, it's clean, simple and futuristic. Plus that awesome presentation is just perfect I think he should rise his price!
Also, on the last one I didn't quite get the link between the mood board and the actual logo. The mood board's examples were really really playful whereas the final product was kind of average in that aspect.
I would agree that the $500 seems like it might be following a current trend of 'retro' design, but it was absolutely unique. And that's worth something. In a time when there's a space delivery company between earth and mars, won't every logo out there for any company feature something space-related? Won't everyone have that 'futuristic' look and futuristic typography? It's going to become cliche very quickly. Sort of like how every almost every real estate company nowadays has a roof in their logo (and they all look the same). I just finished watching the video and I can't even remember which of the other four had which type.
I agree, but it feels like it would suit a more niche company, like ModCloth in space. The brief doesn’t say that the company is niche so a mass appeal is the goal. Jessica’s was the most playful, and fun which is why I like it best. It’s just missed the brief.
I love Mo Borbon's logo! On point and aesthetically pleasing. I think that Mars also represents 1 and the Earth 0, the binary code used by computers. I may be wrong on this. Great work and sorry if i wrote something wrong but im not english.
It's actually crazy how as the price gets higher the effort in presentation sort of drops. I'd rate 4th as 1at place, the 2nd as, well, second. And 3rd as 3rd place. Price doesn't always mean quality. Great video Will! Would love to see your design for this :)
I also want to share my thoughts. I ll put logos from the least successful to the most. 3d logo for $200: Looks like an icon and therefore just dull and not modern. Also just not beautiful, to me looks very busy. 1st logo for $100: Has more individuality compared to the one for $200. The concept is pretty nice-using two planets in high contrast. However, I think it would be better if Mars was more heavy then Earth. It is logical, as goods drop in Mars, so mars is heavy. This would add more balance to the logo. Also just not very appealing. 5th logo for $500: Looks amazing, great for food deliveries but doesn’t signal for high-tech stuff. So it is misleading, although has nice personality. 2d logo for $150: Looks clean, has a futuristic vibe. But it signals of hi-tech, expensive things, like Tesla. However delivered goods can be everything like food or kitchen stuff. I thing something more universal would fit. 4th logo for $250: the best option among those in my opinion. It signals that it is a delivery service, any product can be under a package with this logo. However, the design is busy and not so appealing to one’s eye, $150 and $500 look better. But it would work for the company.
Okay, Im an older one here (52) who lived through the entirety of 70s and 80s... I have to correct you. That last one: It's not 70's/80s. It' 50's/60s. It's loungey space-age.
The $250 one is the one that caught my eye the most, its simple, the colors are nice and fitting and the logo fits for a huge black background or white one too
Awesome job to all these designers. But, i doubt they spend only 3hours, sorry. 3 hours is needed only for searching images to use for mockups (i mean look miftah mockups!). I think the only honest "3hours job" was Jessica's logo.
They all agreed to 3 hours and were very aware of the time limit to create a logo in three hours :) we can’t exactly sit them down in an exam hall can we!
This! Together with the pretty low prices of the first ones, it’s clear they are rather desparate, so they put in lots of work to compensate. Such a shame this practice got praised in the video instead of criticized.
Regarding the 150$ option "the Blue One".. I guess the author probably choose the blue because it is the complementary color of orange (that we actually see in mars footage - and not red actually).
the last one looks more like a board game box or something like a kiwi co. crate than a general delivery company, like it doesn't look like the box is supposed to be recycled, it looks like it's meant to be kept
I agree. The 250 is the most beautiful to me, however it might be a bit “modern”? The 150 one looks very futuristic, which was a key detail in the brief.
I loved Arnold's and Mr Bourbons Logos, but Mifthas Mockups were just incredible. Didn't like the logo that much but he still sold me with his presentation of the ID cards and space suit
That last logo is the one you pay for. It implies all the fast, friendly, fun, easy to use, non-threatening TV Sci-fi of the 50s to the late 70s. People will want to use the service because it seems inherently trustworthy. Most of the others went with corporate sterility and the 'perfect' design shown on the big screen since the 80s with it's threatening, controlling, objectionable, anything-goes-for-profit mindsets that made things like the uncaring Weyland-Yutani the ideal megacorporation of the dystopian cyberpunk future. I'd use the services of a Solar Drop from the last logo because it would feel easy, fun and caring. The others would have me worried that someone would have to die each time I sent a package.
Mo Borbon’s design all the way. He made it work in various color presentations, a “complex” and “simple” version, and clearly captured the idea in the icon.
imo 1st place for arnold. 2nd for Mo, since they both have a really good graps of the brief and its appeals to me. 3rd place would be Melvin with some small edits, then miftah and last Jessica. I would only give her last place on the fact that for me it misses the main concept of the branding and it feels retro more then futuristic nice logo nonetheless
I think what Jessica was going for was novelty. It isn't futuristic at all, but your description was science-fiction-esc, and the Jetsons are also science fiction. Like you said, she went with a less serious take, and it was really imaginative IMO. This logo subverts expectations, and I think that is its strength.
I think the thing about the 500 logo thing was that it was the one that appealed to me the most, but in a sense that it looks really nice to me, but it doesnt fit the brief. Its almost like a fallout-style logo, but if the brief is similar to a space amazon shopping service sort of thing, then it missed the mark, which is a shame.
I think you were very kind for the $500 one. She did a poor job! Didn’t follow the brief. If you were her client, you’d tell her to completely redo it and you wouldn’t be satisfied
In a time when we have interplanet travel... you really think san serifs are still going to be seen as "futuristic"? I like the idea of the 60s, psychedelic font. It achieves one of the most important things you need for a brand and that is to STAND OUT.
Sans serif has been around since the 1800s, so while it certainly may not be popular in future years, it has been very stable over the past couple hundred years :) It’s more likely a fundamental font like that would age better than a psychedelic font. That’s just my personal design opinion though. But I agree that it stands out that most and is super aesthetically pleasing. I loved that logo the most, but I agree with others it’s not what comes to mind when I think of futuristic planetary travel haha
Speaking completely as a non designer here, but rather as an engineer / historian. I think if I had been hired to do this exact task, I would have had to ask the client if he was sure he knew what he wanted. It seems to me a complete juxtaposition to want to have your brand thought of as futuristic while at the same time naming your company with a phrase that brings to my mind (at least) the idea of cold-war-era airdrops of food and supplies.
Here's what I think (this is just my opinion and I am basing this purely off of looks): $100 - 10/10, I love the typography, the circles. Overall it's clean and 'homely'. $150 - 5/10, I didn't really like this one, it is futuristic but I don't like how it looks, the D looks weird, and for a company that's sending things to your home, this one isn't homely. $250 - 10/10, this looks great. I like orange more so i'm gonna rank the $100 logo above it :) $299 - 9/10, this logo looks great but looks kinda like Google Maps. If Google owned Solar Drop, this logo would be 10/10. $500 - 7/10, I like the font but not the star.
@@melvinsoto I struggle to see how a lot of these are completed in 3 hours. Maybe I'm just a slow assed designer, but I have shit loads of experience and know how long artworking and mockups take.
The $150 one was killer, but i would have aligned the letters on the second row with the top row, really tightening the stacked characters. Making it look crazy tight.
Personally I liked that #5 did something different with thinking about the retro-futuristic look, but the end product didn’t end up looking like it. It looked more like a cards against humanity box #2 was the lamest. It was just stretchy font.
Mo's logo with no star would be epic. I like it, but take away the star and even include a 'special use' animated logo that is entwined with the font. The 2 O's are in a great position.
@@pashquelle461 i just meant for what the quality and effort she put into designing. At least the 100$ designer made more than one mockup with different usages of the logo. I know quality is better than quantity, but trying to make more with the same conditions needs better recognition.
Khalil Hanna, thanks for pointing that out. I've been looking for this opinion and for a long time it seemed like I was the only one who thought the $150 one is the best
WAIT IS IT?... Yes it is, spot on. I love how passionate he is about kerning. That skill makes no sense to me, and I need it. I'm never sure what letters should be closer and which ones should be further apart as a general rule, you know?
Oddly enough, Mo’s design hit more of the themes in Jessica’s mood board than Jessica’s logo did with the atomic star and background orbit. I feel like Mo, Jessica, and Arnie would be great as a team.
The first thing that I noticed with the 200$ logo by Arnold at 10:33 was that there are 2 planets on the same orbit which is physically not possible. It is probably done for balance but my scientific side immediately notices it and makes it impossible to ignore. If this was a logo for a company that has anything to do or employs with a background in astronomy, this would potentially be a huge red flag
The 250 package was the best in terms of the logo, concept and execution. The 150 package has the best presentation. The person with the 500 package made out like a bandit.
The last design was the nicest, but unfortunately she missed the brief. Perhaps with a higher hourly rate she is used to more time and feedback. You would probably have been asked to confirm the moodpboard for the right direction, at which point you would have opted for a different direction. Moreover, im not sure others actually spent just 3 hours on it. The time spent on some of the mockups would have been 3 hours alone, especially for the custom ones.
@@naomipaterson9300 Hi, of course that's the brief for the designers. But they also know that they are likely to receive a significant amount of traffic to their portfolio having featured on the channel, so some would have been cheeky and used a few more hours. Also a lot of designers are not accustomed to making a workable logo in such a short period of time and are used to a more collaborative process (I can't imaging Haviv, Schear or even Saturday would have done any better given the time). They all done a great job and Kudos to Will for giving the designers some work and hopefully traction to their portfolios.
@@nicola-janerobb2407 for sure! They all knew what they were applying for and all agreed to the time limit - all of them were a pleasure to work with and I enjoyed emailing back and forth with them :) Hopefully as the channel grows one day we’ll be able to pay 5 people full price for an entire branding project, but for now we’ve got to balance the cost and come to what we think is a good compromise :)
For $250 I felt the star was the center or a play on the sun. Being the center I thought of balance and with balance I thought Yin and Yang. Even the colors suggest hot and cold.. So....looking at it, I now see Yin and yang out of the logo and would totally buy that. Cool logo!
For me the cheapest logo was by far the best one. It was the only one I could immidieatly see the concept and its connection to the company. I just love it. I agree that it should be simplified, but if it was my company and I'd received all of those, I'd choose the 100$ one, because you can improve the execution, the rest just didn't have as strong idea.
the thing is that the last one is the only one that´s really on trend right now, everyone is doing that kind of logo, anywhere you look there´s the nice ref that was on her moodboard. i think it will get tired soon, but i quite like it.

Real talk.... Jessica was so bad for that money!! 500 Bucks for this!!! Jeeez...
3 and 4 totally nailed it. 5 just didn't come across as a logo and I agree, the scalability of it wasn't good.
$500 just for the logo and one mockup? Hmm interesting. I really love the $250 logo, great job Mo Borbon!

@@O.G.H. The very last one, that cost $500 to do.
That last one would be fitting for a boardgame. It's hard to believe the rest took just 3hrs, some really great presentations there.
Personally I liked the $250 one for overall design. But the $200 one hit the mark when seen in situ on the rocket. Thanks for the great video. Very interesting.
Thanks for the feedback! Love seeing the other logos! Everyone did so well
Thanks so much for taking part! Well done! 🥳
Your logo was awesome! Keep it up !
@KoPHuLLloH thank you!
500 for the logo and 1 mockup. Wish i got that much for doing that lol. I usually get half to present a 15 page pdf. Last one would be great if it was a clothing brand maybe? Just missed the brief i think. The 150 one deserved more. He did a great work .
dude you should charge more if you believe in your work
The 500 USD one was the worst among all. 250 USD concept was amazing and the best among them.
I love this series.. Mo Borbon Nailed it, I loved his sketches too, great concepts you got there..
Thanks, James! I appreciate it
I feel like I'd love to do something like this because you get to have feedback not only by Will, but also his community; but hate it at the same time because I'd get to have feedback not only by Will, but also his community
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
The 500$ one definitely missed the mark compared to the other ones, great job Mo!
Thank you! :D

Ouch
Do more of these, I love watching them. Seeing how different designers interpret the brief. My favorite is number 3.
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
In the first logo, the O with the dot in the middle is the alchemical symbol for the sun (solar).
there is no sun in the brief, and even if we say that is a sun, that logo represents no center that we can relate to.
@@aymanezbakh2394 Well this guy here has clearly made the connection, so he related to it. Also, Solar literally means "related to the sun", so the brand name is 50% 'sun'. It couldn't be more in the brief than that.
yeaa truee my bad , i didn’t pay attention to the brand name
Raise your prices!)
For the second one, I think it is really well made and fits the brief, but is personally my least favourite just because of my preferences!
Appreciate your comments! Thanks a lot! 😁
Thanks for your kind words! I agree, all the logos were awesome in their own ways!
I am a uni student and Ive been in a creative block but I decided to try create a design based off this brief and it was genuinely so, so fun to create!!! It feels like some competition I am part of coz it pushes me past my limits, I would love to show you!!

Mo Borbon 250$ is the best solved logo, he followed the brief the most and for 3 hours of work, it is an excellent job!
Thank you very very much :)
i think it would be pretty cool if you dont know the prices paid for the designs and your final task is to rank them and to tell which one is the most expensive or cheapest.
perfect video, as always, keep up the great work
greeting from germany
I like that too haha sounds fun
The best one for me is the $120 one, it's clean, simple and futuristic. Plus that awesome presentation is just perfect I think he should rise his price!
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
120 one... You mean 150 one??
Always my fave kind of videos to do! The designers did so well and are all so lovely! 🧡
If I want to send a package I would 100% avoid the delivery company with an explosion in the logo.
Melvin, Arnold, and Mo all knocked it out of the park. Hard to pick a favorite between the three.
as a graphic design uni student, this video is awesome and very helpful. thank you so much!
The $250 one is the one that caught my eye the most, its simple, the colors are nice and fitting and the logo fits for a huge black background or white one too
First one (Melvin) all day long. Loved the mockups. The logo being in the text... mind blown.
I agree. But that's their choice and shows ambition.
This! Together with the pretty low prices of the first ones, it’s clear they are rather desparate, so they put in lots of work to compensate. Such a shame this practice got praised in the video instead of criticized.
Thanks for the feedback will, it's an honor to work with you
Regarding the 150$ option "the Blue One".. I guess the author probably choose the blue because it is the complementary color of orange (that we actually see in mars footage - and not red actually).
The star & planets icon that Mo Borbon presented completely knocked it outta the park👌
the last one looks more like a board game box or something like a kiwi co. crate than a general delivery company, like it doesn't look like the box is supposed to be recycled, it looks like it's meant to be kept
The one before the is the end was creative enough and easy to remember! And yeah I agree with you about the last one! Keep up the good job!
Man, everyone loves the 250$ but for me i fall in love with the 150$ logo's remembering the price and the time he spent on.
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
THIS.
Mo Borbon’s design all the way. He made it work in various color presentations, a “complex” and “simple” version, and clearly captured the idea in the icon.
😁👍🏼 thanks!
Scammed on 5, Mo was probably my favorite with a close second to Arnold. Miftah's mockups were really good and Melvin had great color choice
imo 1st place for arnold.
Wow! Thanks!
I agree with your ranking bro,
feels like 500 is a waste of money
I think what Jessica was going for was novelty. It isn't futuristic at all, but your description was science-fiction-esc, and the Jetsons are also science fiction. Like you said, she went with a less serious take, and it was really imaginative IMO.
This logo subverts expectations, and I think that is its strength.
Borbon and Arnold blew my mind! Amazing work guys!
Thanks!
Thank you very much 🙏🏼
I think the thing about the 500 logo thing was that it was the one that appealed to me the most, but in a sense that it looks really nice to me, but it doesnt fit the brief.
Dude, calm down. We're here to learn
The most expensive one was the worst one if you should ask me🤷🏽♂️
Speaking completely as a non designer here, but rather as an engineer / historian.
In no way do I think these guys designed the logos, did all those mockups, assets, and put together those presentations in 3 hours.
Here's what I think (this is just my opinion and I am basing this purely off of looks):
$100 - 10/10, I love the typography, the circles. Overall it's clean and 'homely'.
$150 - 5/10, I didn't really like this one, it is futuristic but I don't like how it looks, the D looks weird, and for a company that's sending things to your home, this one isn't homely.
$250 - 10/10, this looks great. I like orange more so i'm gonna rank the $100 logo above it :)
$299 - 9/10, this logo looks great but looks kinda like Google Maps. If Google owned Solar Drop, this logo would be 10/10.
$500 - 7/10, I like the font but not the star.
Same! I was looking through the comments to see if anyone liked the first one as much as me
That second Solar Drop logo, would have been phenomenal with some jet flames coming out of the D of Drop. It looks like a rocket on its side.
I think he was going for a more simplistic type font so a putting jet flames wouldn't really work. Nice idea though.
Maybe for an animated logo for marketing, but it being more simplistic is better
I agree with this. Doing that with the D was actually one of the ideas I had but figured it would take me over the 3 hour challenge to execute well.
@@melvinsoto I struggle to see how a lot of these are completed in 3 hours. Maybe I'm just a slow assed designer, but I have shit loads of experience and know how long artworking and mockups take.
Yay this is my favorite series!
15:15 the sketch right above the one he chose, is very dangerous to any brand, as well as the one to the right of it.
500$ one was trash, barely worth 5 cents
The $150 one was killer, but i would have aligned the letters on the second row with the top row, really tightening the stacked characters. Making it look crazy tight.
Personally I liked that #5 did something different with thinking about the retro-futuristic look, but the end product didn’t end up looking like it. It looked more like a cards against humanity box
#2 was the lamest. It was just stretchy font.
Mo's logo with no star would be epic. I like it, but take away the star and even include a 'special use' animated logo that is entwined with the font. The 2 O's are in a great position.
150$ is the best.
500$ is overpriced. Lack of effort and quality
Nope, 500$ is not overpriced, jfc. 150$ designer is just underpriced, that's it. We, designer have no future at all, when 500$ for logo is too much.
The $500 designer just threw random images in and the mark didn't make sense to me. The presentation was also pretty 'meh'.
Loved Mo Borbons design but the last ones mockup looks like it is a family card-game box, reminds me of Sequence 😂
Love the detail on the 3rd logo's typography - it uses that 'keep calm and carry on' typeface as it's a british company!
100 Dollars looks better than 150 which seemed really boring in my opinion like a generic tech company.
12:00 That logo is insane! Not only did it hit the mark very well. It went beyond the future by adding some animation to it.
these videos are the best!
The 250$ one was the best IMO
I’m very honored by your opinion :) thanks!
"for us the sky is NOT the limit".... freaking genius
Arnold's $200 animated logo annoyed me a little bit, for it had the more distant orbiting planets move faster instead of slower.
I’m sorry…. Is your brief so good it’s inspiring a sci fi short story/universe? Good gravy, this is awesome!
Oddly enough, Mo’s design hit more of the themes in Jessica’s mood board than Jessica’s logo did with the atomic star and background orbit. I feel like Mo, Jessica, and Arnie would be great as a team.
The guys who charged a lower fee actually did a more splendid job!
Planets can have the same orbit.
The 250 package was the best in terms of the logo, concept and execution. The 150 package has the best presentation. The person with the 500 package made out like a bandit.
13:18 = It is sooo beatiful, this is the Logo I liked the most!
Thank you! 😁🙌🏼
I can spend the rest of my life watching you criticize logos, I'm almost 22 btw, brilliant! and looking to take your course
THE most important part of this video is your hair. It's excellent! Where do you get it done / what do you use?
I just have a lot of hair! I don't really use anything on it haha!
wow! wait for the next part of this concept
As Will says at 0:35, it’s 3 hours for the logo - added extras aren’t expected (ie mock-ups)
They all knew what they were applying for and all agreed to the time limit - all of them were a pleasure to work with and I enjoyed emailing back and forth with them :)
Hopefully as the channel grows one day we’ll be able to pay 5 people full price for an entire branding project, but for now we’ve got to balance the cost and come to what we think is a good compromise :)
I prefer Logos that has some type of illustration to it, because that’s more of my style… so l prefer , I think his name was Mo ❤️ !
I like the $150 logo, Has Mockups are great, but according to the brief $250 logo is perfect. He just needs to play with different colors.
For $250 I felt the star was the center or a play on the sun. Being the center I thought of balance and with balance I thought Yin and Yang. Even the colors suggest hot and cold.. So....looking at it, I now see Yin and yang out of the logo and would totally buy that. Cool logo!
Thanks! I’m glad people seem to enjoy it 👍🏼
For me the cheapest logo was by far the best one.
It was the only one I could immidieatly see the concept and its connection to the company. I just love it.
I agree that it should be simplified, but if it was my company and I'd received all of those, I'd choose the 100$ one, because you can improve the execution, the rest just didn't have as strong idea.
lol i just realised when everyone uses modern fonts they will eventually become old and new font will become modern
Lol... This is actually very true.
You low key got robbed by the last designer but still good looking design!
the thing is that the last one is the only one that´s really on trend right now, everyone is doing that kind of logo, anywhere you look there´s the nice ref that was on her moodboard. i think it will get tired soon, but i quite like it.
