I teach adults with mental and physical disabilities and have been bringing my small Arturia keyboard for sound exploration. it's been amazing, this one day for them would be amazing.
It's been about 6 weeks and I now have 6 differently abled friends whom I simply show how I explore music and feelings. it's a lot to learn and its part of my vulnerability to empower someone else. I set no expectations and there is no competition. We have a good time together. I've decided to not take up any full time job so I can dedicate my Wednesdays to this organization and try to be a freelancer on the side. Anyway, I do charge a small fee and keep myself accountable to show up fully present. Will try to produce a whole playlist for them as a gift and burn on CDs. I am forever an amateur at heart.
Now, "THIS" is my synth. Ive alot of classics.. and this is a modern classic. so far, IMO, the only one. (still wish it had seperate outputs like the Andromeda)
@@tommyg5095 No... Seperate voices/sounds to seperate outs...as long as you have a high channel count mixer (I do) you have so many more options for sculpting and control. Think Mono, or the advantage of Stereo (2 seperate sounds panned left/right....) Then theres seperate outs.... All in its glory... It need not be sixteen.... But at 4/ 8 makes it a different beast.
As I mentioned on the Tube why not apply this MPE full touch to the most obvious instrument, the keytar? Arturia needs to make a keytar with the ribbon slide and full touch capabilities. Might need the Osmose type wiggle keys for even more guitar like control. Maybe I'll add a strap to my Osmose.
Would be awesome to have the keyboard and Morphée as a stand alone controller. I plan on buying this synth but would be nice to have the keyboard at my desk as well.
Finally a 12 voice version of the polybrute it'll probably cost an arm and a leg but I'm sure it'll sound like a monster 6 voices was too low for a synth of that calibre
The only problem with Arturia and it's hardware synths is that they are way too expensive and not at all that useful in a mix. I do want this, though, seems you fixed the being useful problem with this one. Great work
Trying to get a side by side comparison of the PolyBrute 12 and PolyBrute 6 and surprisingly so, Arturia doesn't have such a thing 😳... I'm currently in talks with sales support in regards to this. 🤷♂️
hey @arturia, please make this in a desktop with pads replace keys(whatever aftertouch you decide is 👌🏽) without any other changes. ty sincerely, fangrl
also another idea i had would be for the desktop unit to have 16 touch strips(pads) with similar functionality to the ribbon but add on/off note and offer a large group of scales and a quick octaves button for switching. take my money
It is kind of odd. No such thing on a new Prophet-10, which is the same size as the Prophet-5 now. The much smaller Prophet-6, half the size of the Polybrute 12 barely gets warm at the back after 4 hours.
@FelixMatathias I am so close to getting on that pre-order list for the ODO SUPER GEMINI. After having the Super Gemini in your hands for a while, what would you say to anyone seriously considering this synth ??? Good, bad, unique, indifferent, anything...
@@tommyg5095it’s such a personal choice. To me, I would go for a prophet 5 or Polybrute or even the iridium. These synths are much more satisfactory to my ear. Fatter. More character. They cut through a mix. I respect the effort and UDO as a company, it just didn’t click with me.
@FelixMatathias I appreciate your response. I already have the Sequential 10, PB6 Waldorf IRIDIUM, and quite a few others. I must say, I may wait a while and see if Arturia will release a black color, I know color really isn't that much of a big deal, but I will patiently wait and see...
Yikes! This sounds amazing but looks TERRIBLE! Wow, really? I am an Arturia customer, having a Polybrute and Matrixbrute. Love them both and add sounds to them alot. I have to say this new this is probably the ugliest Synth ever! Lol. WTF are they thinking? How embarrassing. I have been waiting for a Work Station or something cool like that. For 4k I'll stick with my 6V Polybrute. Im sure they will come out with a noir version at some point. Lol. Mark Bensette Aux Bois 🇨🇦.
Polyphony on digital pianos is the maximum number of notes that a keybord can sound simultaneously. Usually it is 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256. notes. this unit costs $4000!
@@newavestudios9883 The number of fingers is not a good argument regarding number of voices of an instrument. Imagine a sound made of a 10 seconds decay fade out. During this 10 seconds fade out, you can easily press more than 10 keys on the keyboard. So for a 16 voices polyphony for example, you can easyly reach up to 16 voices playing simultaneously. As soon as you play the 17th notes within this 10 seconds decay, the still playing first note will be "stealed", abrutly stopped before the end of the decay. So sometimes having 128 voices is barely enough depending on the patch you're playing.
Yeah, let’s just stuff 88 voices of vcos, vcas, and VCFs in a synth… get real people. A hammer and string is much different from analog synth architecture

Ask them for a dscount :)
@The_Invisible_Man what do you mean? projecting?
@@MrVoonix I would be ashamed to ask for it.

Looks like a SEM, but sounds like a CS-80, with an Oberheim touch, ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT...!❤
Having official video tutorials I so valuable!

I wish InMusic, which now owns both Alesis and Moog, would make a new Andromeda.
Wouldn't routing through a mixer give you multiple outs?

Great! I hope now, when this weird color PolyBrute is out, the original PolyBrute in a good color will go down the price so I can afford it!
Looks absolutely wonderful!

That are huge vent gaps. No fan i hope? Lovely looks!
No fans :) Thats why they are so big.
I think looppop said there is a fan but it’s very quiet.
@@MattnUska No there is not. It's all complete passive.
@@MattnUska No, no fan. The ventilation is entirely sort of chimney-draft-based.
Thanks Mate again 👍🏻🩷🩵

The CS80 of Future !
God I wish an analog synth had a stereo filter-input/output (like the Brutes but stereo)

Nice.
Very Nice! Шикарно!
I wonder what the price will be! Looks and sounds great
It’s a lot, but it’s still less than an 8 voice Moog One.
Polybrute 12 is $3999
$7500 Australian which Is ridiculous for 12 voices...
Commenting on the ginormous vents on the top panel: Do these units get *super hot* or something? 🤔
No, even after hours of playing, you get a warm breeze but not hot air. No fan needed.
It is kind of odd. No such thing on a new Prophet-10, which is the same size as the Prophet-5 now. The much smaller Prophet-6, half the size of the Polybrute 12 barely gets warm at the back after 4 hours.
Can I trade in my Essentials keyboard for this one? Haha😜

This vs Super 8 🤔
No comparison. Not even close. This one. I have the super Gemini, can’t be compared even with the Polybrute 6
