    Got mine installed and went great only thing I would say about the video is the reverse light you tap into isn't always red on the wire harness kit I bought for it, same brand as light bar it was white. It is always the middle wire doesn't matter color. Also since you mentioned about getting t taps I got some but they aren't needed as I found out the kit comes with two wire connectors and they are more simple than t taps.

      That's correct, the reverse wires varies for different vehicles.

      Can you use different tow hitch adapter then the opt 7 one? I bought one of amazon and it seems to not be working. Truck is saying trail hitch is disconnected even when its connected.

      @@Jmax0060 sorry I didn't see your message. I'm not 100% sure if you can or can't but I would think if you bought a quality one and it is similar and attached it right it would work. I never looked for other ones I just bought the package that came with the bar and opt7 one so I wouldn't know for sure

    I had OBT7 Redline Triple LED Tailgate light bar Installed on my 2022 Tundra 1794. Everything worked great. No codes/errors on Dash. Then, I noticed on one of my home cameras that when backing up and then stopping and then go forward from Braking that sometimes the whole light bar flashed Yellow. Has anyone experience that or can check their OBT7 lighbars if they do that too. Does it when put in drive sometime from a stop

    Wouldn’t it be easier to mount it by removing the tailgate?

    Problem is... the 7 Pin PT7 connector I got has 3 White Wires.. I guess they ran out of 'Red Wire' the day this was put together! Was lucky that I had some red paint to mark it better...Someone failed QC that day!

    Why is the yellow bar showing up first when applying brakes sometime. It happens often. Apparently the turn signal and brake light are on the same wire the yellow and green wire. Why is that. I believe that is what is causing the Amber light to flash first when applying brakes and then quickly turned red. How do we fix that. I'm not the only one with this issue. I have seen other videos with same issue. Probably they all do it and they don't even know. Have someone stand behind truck and someone hit the brakes going forward many times and you will see it.

      @OPT7Lighting  5 месяцев назад

      Not sure, but as long as you have a 4pin trailer plug, it will abel able to work.

    Can anyone answer my question please before i send it back. I don't want send it back and the replacement does the same thing. What could be causing this. Everything else works well. Only issue is sometimes when applying brakes a yellow bar shows up first then the red light.

    Doesn't that truck have rear camera and tow assist. If so how does your hookup work. Any errors or issues with dash lights.

    • @OPT7Lighting
      @OPT7Lighting  Год назад

      If you are getting errors, you can use the hardwiring installation method. However, the harness used in this video allows you to bypass hardwiring.

    • @OPT7Lighting
      @OPT7Lighting  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks for reaching out! You may use this harness on the 2022-2023 Toyota Tacoma, however, you'll need to hardwire the reverse wire into the tail lights directly rather than to the trailer plug on the back end of the truck. For more installation support - email our team at support@opt-7.com

      It will not, we found that folks with the Colorado, the 48'' was the best fitment.
