Looks great on your layout! Thanks Steve!!
Great video Steve - Thanks for supporting the community.
I've been looking to get back into it, so thank you for putting this together for us new folk!
Great idea! Thanks for sharing. Love Tim’s work.
Hey Steve - thank you for this! I think it's a great idea to have a site for this. Kudos!!
Great idea 🛠️👍👍👍
When I need some custom work done, I send my trains to my Warhammer 40k friends. They're good at working tiny details into tight spaces. I like the list idea, though!
This checks out.
Sounds like a great idea Steve, it'd be almost like a One-Stop for all products services and the such 👍👍
That is a great idea would make it easrier to find things. Sometimes I try to look up things and something pops up that has nothing to do with trains and I get frustrated. Thanks Steve.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Great idea!!! I'd like to find more 3d printed stuff but have no clue where to look!!
Cults3d.com and thingiverse.com among others let you download STL files.
We have 'The UK Model Shop Directory' over on this side of the pond hat has lists of places that do weathering, kit building, DCC fitting etc.
Nice! I’ll have to check that out.
A good idea indeed. May I suggest that you also include small businesses or individuals who for a fee can service, maintain, or fix broken or poorly performing locos and rolling stock, convert one type of coupler to another, and so on. Due both to a lack of knowledge and to physical limitations (I have vision problems, arthritic hands, etc), I have great difficulty performing these tasks on my N-scale equipment. Perhaps, too, there are experienced modelers with whom inexperienced or less skilled/able modelers (that is, those like me) could teleconference via Zoom or FaceTime to a) discuss problems and potential solutions, b) elicit real time, and b) expert advice on any/all layout issues in Q&A conversational format. I suspect such help is needed by many in the hobby, and I, for one, would gladly pay for interpersonal access to such expertise.
Great idea for additional service providers
I have mentioned this before.. Could you do a Video/How to on How to Cut Rolling Stock In Half Lengthwise And Glue Two Different Ones Back together to make a New One ( Painting the roof to make them look like one from the top)? Then Build a Layout with Two Tunnels, One at Each End, Big/Long enough to Hide Most of the train so it Looks like One Train going into the tunnel but a Completely Different one coming out.
Then for Bonus Effect, Add a Mirror to the Back Drop at Street Crossing so it looks like Two Different Trains at the Same Time.. In Stock Yards, Add Mirrors to Double your Rolling Stock, Lengthwise or Side by Side...
If you do Not want to Cut the Rolling Stock, Paint each Side Different and Still paint the top the same to make them look like one from the top.
I remember that. I’ll see if I can maybe do something like that sometime. I have like 20 layout projects in my list. I guess I can just do some train cars like that sometime.
@@StevesTrains I tried back around 2005 talking to Bachmann and Atlas to do this to Rolling Stock that people could buy. Even tried writing a Article to Model Railroading Magazine to do this and make it a Project... Never Heard back from the Three...
Even Told them I didn't care if they took the Credit. I just wanted to Share the Idea for everyone to have... For those on a Budget.
.. Thank You.. PEACE!
Very cool 👍🏻
I'm a 77 year old disabled Veteran and need to find contacts who can repair, add DCC, clean/lube my N scale locomotives. Any help would be appreciated.
Check with Richard at challenger N . I think there a guy in the club that can do this stuff correctly
Do you have any model/hobby shops that? TMC in the UK offer services like this you can also add it when ordering from them online from a drop down menu weathering to different levels, driver figure in cab, DCC fitting and more
Great idea. Did you find any other N-scale files printable from your Kokoni printer?
I’ve mostly just printed dumpsters, roof vents, AC units, and that kind of thing. I need to get back to printing more items again.
I suggest making a discord surver for this
That is a good idea as well.
I'd be happy to help if I could
I already have a discord server set up (I’ve had that for a while) but haven’t made that public yet. Something I haven’t quite wanted to manage yet, but I plan to start doing more and different things this year so I’ll see about maybe getting one going for this later this spring once I get some other things set up in that regard I have planned.
Could u put a link to the video that how u made the kato switch blue boxes to those buttons
Think it is this one: Finishing the Wiring on the 2x4 N Scale Layout
