No, the backup singer didn’t stop because of that. The lead singer was supposed to be emphasize on the vocal buildup which is why it stopped and cutoff before “sugar”. That’s how most backup vocals are, they usually either cutoff or end before the last word.

I saw a lot of people complaining online saying Moldova shouldn't have qualified and I'm really annoyed because the performance was FUN and the song is pure 00s Eurovision. a.k.a. the best kind of Eurovision. And we only have a handful of acts like Moldova's this year. The song is extremely catchy, the dancing is fun, her ENERGY is amazing because she's always smiling and very sweet and when Kirkorov lets her talk offstage she is always so chaotic and fun. The highnote is iconic too, I didn't think she was actually gonna do it live but Natalia came through and fucking did it, what an icon! I voted for it 10 times and will probably vote it at least 5 more in the finals and I regret none of them. Moldova is in the finals, deal with it~ P.S. They really should have had the ice-cream cone dancers instead of hot Ukrainin boys for the live shows, Fokas dropped the ball here. If they had the dancing cones no one would have dared question it's right to qualify!
Agreed, everybody's saying that romania shouldn't have been disqualified because of her beautiful performance, and instead moldva should have been,, but in my opinion moldva did a lot more better than them, and I'm saying this as a romanian myself :)) This was a really beautiful performance indeed!❤

@@binu4800 O-Zone the guys singing Dragostea din Tei were a Moldovan Eurodance group that was active from 1999 to 2005. Originating in 1998 as a duo consisting of Dan Bălan and Petru Jelihovschi. Although they were singing most of the part for Romania they were born in Moldova and are MD citizens .So that makes Dragoste din Tei automatically a moldovan song.
