I am binge watching your videos… maaan, the time you take to communicate and share with us is amazing. Thank you, I’m not a tufter… but dammit you make it seem to be very tempting … you make it to be so intriguing… again thank you so much!
Thanks for your generosity in sharing how you turned a passion hobby into a business. I appreciate the care and quality of your art work. I’m retired - a lifelong knitter and love fibre and started tufting a while ago. I love it so much and have been toying with the idea of having a bit of extra income. I’m way older than you but us older people have lots to learn from young people such as yourself! Thanks and looking forward to watching more of your videos.
I have had this comment screenshotted and saved on my phone for quite some time. I really appreciate the kind words, and I'm happy that you have found love in tufting. Likewise, us young people have a lot to learn from you as well, I hope we cross paths one day and we can geek out on knitting and fiber arts. Peace and love - Dom
Awesome and super informative. Just wanted to say thank your. I looking to start next month with no experience what's so ever. Your video definitely cleared a lot of doubt.
Also something that people should be aware of in all businesses is it’s very important to pay your taxes for all sales through venmo and all similar apps after 2022
Hey dude! I am also originally from Wyoming and have relocated recently as well! I just got into tufting and most of my customers right now are my friends from back home. It has been helpful watching this video, since it came up on my feed. I guess you could consider me an organic follower. I'll definitely subscribe, and I'm looking forward to more videos in the future! I hope all is going well with your move!
omg! it's kenny! i agree dude. i have a basic website and do sales separately. i've sold more art in person than i ever have online. art is a long game tho. i'm just doing rugs in addition to the art i already make. i appreciate your videos.
Just out of curiosity, do you have any worries about copyright? I'm thinking about starting but I'm afraid about copyright material such as logos, etc... any tips/comments about it? Thank you! Excellent video.
I haven’t had experience with a lot of wool yarn, but when I have used it I’ve gotten it locally made in San Diego. I typically use acrylic yarn from the big name craft stores

Hi, did you ever find the right answer or this question?

Do you need any license or some rules to follow in tufting?
The videos are dope. Such an interesting hobby man

If you dont mind me asking. How many orders do you get a week/month?
Hi Dominic
I love your work and helpful video.
How can I purchase a tufting machine and how much? I'm from Zambia
Do you do rugs full time now as a career?
What so you charge or i should say how do you decide what you charge?

Very helpful your comments --- Thank you
Thanks needed this
Around how much roughly do you make a month tufting?
It varies depending on how many commissions I get. I’m a student currently so it’s just some nice side money.
Do your customers pay full amount when they hire you?
I used to accept payment after, but because of some issues I now either do the payment in full upfront, or a deposit
This was pretty helpful and chill video
Happy to hear!
What about copyright? How does that apply?
Whats the pricing average
can i ask you (or you guys) where can i order that thing what you are using as a backing?
I use a felt backing from my local craft store

What wool is best for making rugs ?
I haven’t had experience with a lot of wool yarn, but when I have used it I’ve gotten it locally made in San Diego. I typically use acrylic yarn from the big name craft stores
How did you learn to price your rugs? Especially in the beginning
Check out my previous video about how I priced my rugs!
