So just depends! I do all my trimming off frame, but it's just a personal preference. Some will say do it on others will say do it off 😊 I just find it easier to do it after when it's down from the frame 😊
Hello! I just started tufting recently and I was wondering, what kind of scissors are you using?
So I use just normal duck bill scissors :) around $20-30 on amazon
This soo sick, how do you get the shading? Do you just use a darker shade of the same colour, for the shading, and a lighter version of the same colour for the ligthed areas? Or am I missing something?
Use all different shades of the colour, so example like a red you might use 3 or 4 reds to get the shadow

I use quite a few but the one im using at the moment is a forbo f41 (get it through a builder)

So pricing goes based off size and also design! And yarn no you want to go to proper brands do you know what dye lot you're getting! I get mine from spotlight and ozyarn :)

Why is your rug so fluffy even tho you tuft so close together. When I do that. My rug gets really stuffed and hard. Any tips?
Could be the yarn maybe you're using? Another thing is when I carve over the top to get it a bit flatter I barely take any off the top, where as other tufters tend to take a fair amount sometimes!
My son is a huge Pokemon fan, would you be able to make that same rug for his room, and if so how much would you charge me?

If you were after the same size + design, $400! Pricing varies heaps for each rug as it goes based off design + size 😊

I have a 2.1x2.1 a 1.5x1.5m and a 2x1m! This one here is the 1.5m one
How long real time does this size of piece take you to make?
Depends from design to design, this one I'd say around 20-25hrs of working time on the piece

Can i wash it by hand with soap/ detergent or can i wash it in washing machine or i can give it dry cleaning only?
By the way, your work is just fabulous ✨
Appreciate that legend!! So these pieces can be spot and hand cleaned however no they cant be machine washed or detergents used! I do suggest when these pieces are bought there put in a low or medium traffic area so they don't get dirty :)

How do you get around licensing laws?
I don't think he sells them so no licensing required
@@Forbidden_0neI’m pretty sure he sells them, it’s like his job, i guessing it’s ok to sell cause it’s a custom meaning someone asked if he can make this, it would be different if he mass producing it and selling it versus one or two people asking for a specific type of rug with a character
I don’t think they apply as long as the sale is private. If he were to post it on a website for sale, it would be different.
