Probably because the vast majority of their viewers were subbed because of the long form content, people are slowly coming around though. It does sound like the old podcast is coming back so hopefully we see a boost in the channel again
So many girls had knee and all injuries in high school. Most of the teams always had knee braces. Probably physiology different and usually feel girls have long legs so the acl needs to support a bigger hinge
It’s also to do with center of gravity, if I recall correctly, and the menstrual cycle ofc plays a certain role. ACLs are the next big frontier in the women’s sport - it’s been happening a lot recently. It happens a lot more in football and basketball than in tennis tho, for some reason.
@@cristinasada4819 it’s cause in tennis, you can’t run into anyone since it’s only you on your side of the court. In basketball and football, your almost always in contact with another player
Rupturing an ACL doesn’t restrict movement apart from the initial inflammation. It actually means the shin bone moves to much in relation to the thigh bone making the joint unstable
Haha yeah, I'm waiting for surgery to repair my ruptured ACL and my knee movement is way too unrestricted. Hyper extending and unusual lateral movement is a major symptom of a ruptured ACL, not sure what he is talking about in the video
@@pwrcaelenxI had a similar injury and my ankle was the size of a small football for a few days. Very painful, couldn’t move for a few minutes and had to do physiotherapy to regain mobility and that wasn’t even an ACL tear so I can’t imagine how painful it would be.
@@ags911 i injured my ankle a month ago, im still not fully recovered but for me the pain of the first few days wasnt as bad as feeling constantly uncomfortable for much longer and my entire right foot becoming literally bigger than my shoes
NBA fans has a weird culture, they don't like listening to logic. 7 Foot players moving like guards are always going to be injury prone. Like you said with Rose, if you explode to the basket in nearly every position, it will take its toil, especially when you have a coach like Thibs.
I remember several years ago a commentator talking about Thiago and his brother both being injury prone especially their knees and talking about how it’s genetic. My brother tore his ACL before and I haven’t, but my knees have always had problems so I try to minimize things that would cause me to have any knee instability so I don’t destroy my knees one day.
I did this senior year Varsity soccer. It was very painful. Took 1 year to be back to normal. They even gave me the athletic repair by using a piece of my tendon.
To me it meant I had my knee replaced at 35 and that because I couldn’t have it done any earlier my deformed and damaged everything around it mean even with the new knee I will never be in less than agony with it; but also because the limping and walking on a cane from 16 means the muscles in my back grew as strong as rocks diagonally crushing my spine have no feel in my right arm and have to be put to sleep with painkillers every night to get 4-6 hours sleep… do your warm ups to lubricate your cartilages not just to warm your muscles please🙏🤞🫵
Literally this injury ruins your life. I had the op sadly it failed 20 years on I literally fall down randomly due to the daftest thing 😖 Especially cringe if I’m In the pub 😂
Presumably she meant one which involves less movement involving sudden changes in direction, blows to the knee, sudden stops, etc which are commonly associated with tearing ACL. Things like, idk, fencing, archery, shooting, golf, stuff like that.
The bias you have for PL is amusing sometimes!! Look at how many Real + Barca players had ACL last season and this season (all major names)... Was surprised to see you didn't even put 1 image!! 😢😢😢😢
My eldest brother has torn his couple of times then my after him 10 years or so later.. makes sense.. I have torn both mine. It was absolutely painful when I did it. Traumatising in fact.
I’m surprised these shorts get so little views it’s usually always quality information

I think it meant movement is restricted as it can only heal when stationary.
A healthy ACL plays the role of restricting movement at the knee joint. So, a rupture does not “…restrict…” 🤷🏽♂️
