- Urban explorers: The Shredded Wheat Factory Welwyn Garden City, just outside of London, sits abandoned. Security were present on site but we were able to sneak around by turning off torches near the windows.

I live really close to this place like 5 minutes down the road and my mum lives 2 minutes away from it and something really cool is that back in the day before it came abandoned my Nan used to work there when she was like 20-30 she’s 74 now and said it used to be really loud and chaotic
Thanks for sharing. Fascinating stuff. I see this site every day and it will be interesting to watch it as they pull half of it down and transform the rest! :)
No problem, appreciate the comment and for watching. We are in the process of upgrading our filming equipment and have gotten better at editing, stay tuned for Februarys' explores :)
worked there from 1998 until 2006 when the closure was anounced. still work for the company just at our factory near Liverpool

I’m going there this Saturday for the Waldorf Project! 🙂
They knocked it down not long after we visited
There must be something left because the show is there and I bought the tickets
Ok I just came back. The show was great. I told a lady from the show about you and she said that yes, one part of the structure was torn down. But there’s plenty left. Apparently they’re turning some of it into a community art centre and leaving the machines, etc.
I was able to take a peek at the other floors, even though I wasn’t allowed to. It was so atmospheric. Totally worth it.
Can’t believe that’s still there
How did u get inside?
Been there recently. there were workmen on the roof preparing to demolish it whilst we were inside.
Still there went today
Did you check of the factory was still there mate?
Yh, all seems to be still there, at least from the outside anyway. Just be careful as there is construction equipment out and so there could be workers, good luck
Only half of its there now the part with the two silos reaming standing
It's gone now.
KayPeaThree 3 literally walking past it rogutnkow
getting ready to demolish it
Still here now lol
cant understand your british accent mumbling dude
zhe p wasn’t mumbling I was behind the camera, the mic is at the front, wasn’t talking to narrate anyway.
@@BritainsDecays I would really value subtitles though as I am interested in what you were saying as you came across things. Dont you think that is a very strange layout etc for a cereal factory? I couldnt tell if it was making sense to you or not.
