    I have a very similar build to this (Intel i9 12900K instead of a Ryzen 9 7900 for the CPU) and I can safely say this build is an absolute BEAST. I wanted a PC that could run VR games smoothly and drive regular games on an ultrawide 1440p display with ease and this build delivers in all categories.
    I would say that when it comes to high end gaming the 4090 is all you could ever want, but the 4080 is all you'll ever need. Unless of course you need 4K ray tracing at high FPS. But if you're the kind who absolutely needs that you already have a 4090.

    It's so silly to waste money for all these stuff. It's possible to buy cheaper processor, cheaper DDR4 32Gb ram, and buy 4090 instead of 4080. I mean that you don't need top CPU for 4K gaming. For example my 12600KF is not a bottleneck for RTX4080 Super. Even in all 40-50 games I played in 2K, I didn't noticed that GPU was less than 99%. The bottleneck can be in Online games like CS2 with 300fps (it needs a great processor). But the most beautiful single games like Avatar, Resident Evil 4, TLOU1, Ratchet & Clank, Forbidden West don't need a high-end CPU

      13700K is not clever now, you will buy into a socket that can only accept the 14 gen which won't be a great improvmeent, and after that dead socket. Better to go AM5 if you want to upgrade the PC.

      Arctic liquid freezers are pretty much the best on the market and are cheaper than a lot of other options. Big recommend.
      Make sure your case can fit it though, the radiator is REALLY thick, which is also why it cools so well.

    • @UbanGerd
      @UbanGerd Год назад +1

      The new galahad 2 performance performs better than the liquid freezer. But yeah, value wise the liquid freezer wins it and is at least 60-70€ cheaper. I am using a be quiet silent loop 2 on my 13700k, completly silent and cools fine enough. I would honestly stay away from msi units. Greg Salazar has good content on why.
