A good build, but I would've started with Paladin. That way you're not stuck on Medium armor and have to take that negative to your AC. Plus the idea of a Ghost Rider in full plate is awesome, I mean if Spawn could pull it off, Ghost Rider could. Also, instead of an ability score improvement to bump Con to 17, I would've taken Resilient to bump it to 16, since having it at 17 doesn't really have any benefits it wouldn't have at 16, and adding proficiency to con saves as well as Aura of Protection and Eldritch Mind? You would have had to piss off the dice gods HELLA bad to lose concentration on your spells. Any chance of a Captain Titus (Warhammer 40k Space Marine) build at some point?
Yeah I actually missed that when I was recording as far as taking resilient to go to 16, but I did include it on the character sheet on my patreon just because I realized it after the recording was already done. So definitely a good call out. Also you are totally right it would be next to impossible to fail on a concentration check, and if I was going to optimize and follow the theme of the character a tiny bit less I would totally go paladin first as well
I personally would do that, AND take Investiture of Flame for the 6th level Mystic Arcanum instead of Eyebite. That way combined with the form of dread, you become a flaming skeleton, and take the find steed spell so that your mount also becomes shrouded in flames.
Great build. Reborn race would be a nice pick since you can choose it's appearancen freely, plus a hard to kill dude and nice stats. ULTIMATZEKROM had a great point, a Vengance Paladin returned from dead and became a living toll of the dead
I genuinely built 95% of this build two days ago with only a couple of changes for a one-shot. I started one level of Paladin (he doesn’t start life making a deal but makes a deal as an adolescent- I really wanted heavy armour) and then 12 warlock levels. I mostly took the same invocations though I did take Tomb of Levistus (reflavouring the ice prison as a flame like pose as I get shot up by arrows) because sometimes Ghost Rider just stands there taking the hits before walking off. I also took Mental Prison instead of Eyebite for my penitents stare as the similarities were too much for me not to.
Great job on the build here! Gonna play it for sure once I'm allowed to take a break as a DM. I would also really enjoy a Madara Uchiha build by you. That would be fire!
By far my favorite build I've seen of Ghost Rider thus far, honestly. But for the last ASI, why not get the feat, "Fighting Initiate" so you could take Dueling and do some additional damage with your whip?
This is a nice build! Only thing I'd do a little differently would be to take the multi-class dive a bit earlier that you did to get those buffs working early game.
If I was going to optimize, I'd actually take Paladin first, then Warlock at 2nd level then back over to paladin, because you'll get more armor and more health to choose from. But I tried to stick with the theme as much as possible even if it's not quite as optimized.
Man and I thought I rolled a nat 20 in Arcana to determine the contract source being a fiend warlock since "deal with the devil" but undead fits a lot better than I thought it would
I'm building this but with a Zariel Tiefling, moderately armoured and flames of phlegethos feats. The fact that you can fire off searing and eldrtiched smite changing the damage to necrotic (which I'd consider Hellfire) is just too good to miss out on plus you'd get that extra damage from the upgraded form of dread.
I know that Oath of Vengeance has vengeance in the name but Oath of Conquest has special powers that fit so much better with fear powers and some really cool oath spells. Armour of Agathys can be reflavoured and helps with defence, spiritual weapon can be reflavoured as chains, etc. Still, nice video.
Koragg is interesting. I don't know if he would be an oathbreaker, because he essentially broke an oath, or oath of the crown because he serves his evil master.
One thing I think could be kinda nice for more roleplay is maybe take a single level of barbarian. I know this sounds weird, but here me out. Johnny has constantly been battling the spirit of the ghost rider, Zarathos, in his mind to avoid him getting absolute control. One could say the rage is Zarathos taking over, as it has been shown Zarathos is pretty tough. It sounds weird, but I think it could be very fun to have. Now, you can’t cast spells during a rage, which sucks, but I feel like the rage could fit very well for Zarathos. Also, you can get heavy and medium armor from paladin, but barbarians do also have unarmored defense, and since the ghost rider wears what seems to be a leather biker jacket, this could work well for roleplay as well. Overall, the build is amazing and this just adds another aspect of the rider, but I think this could have some power behind it.
I get the Undead patron offering a transformation feature. But since it focuses on necrotic everything, and Ghostrider is definitely about fire, it doesn't seem to offer as much as... Fiend patron. I thought that was obvious. The continually renewable THP can end up offering a lot of durability if you play it smart. Fire Genasi or Tiefling would give you resistance to fire damage, which would seem significant. The Fiend spell list is definitely thematic. The 14th level feature is the big payout though. Hurl Through Hell is perfect. It requires a hit with an attack, but not a weapon. EB qualifies. Then removed from the field for a turn and 10d10 (55 avg) damage with no save. For perspective, a Paladin smiting twice with 5th level slots delivers 12d8 with an average of 54.
For the final feat, I'd have gone with Resilient and given myself proficiency in Constitution saving throws. Having an odd number in Con doesn't feel great. Or, I would have started with Paladin for heavy armor proficiency, given myself +1 Str and Con instead of +2 Str, and then gone with Heavy Armor Master for the last +1 Str. Also, fun fact, if you build the Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider, he can teleport short distances, so Fey Touched wouldn't be farfetched. That'd give you +1 Cha.
Made a character that at its basic level is a combination of Ghost Rider ( Marvel ), Gunslingers ( Dark Tower ), and Percy from Vox Machina. The Human is named Jade ( male ), the demon or devil is named Coldflame. They are great with fire arms and cold/fire damage. Their Fire abilities have a bone chilling freeze effect as well. His main weapons are 2 sawed off shotguns. This guy I’m playing in our Dark Fantasy game.
You should do a zenitsu build with nine levels in wizard bladesinger nine levels in rogue scout and two levels in sorcerer draconic blood line with a feat for meta magic initiate it’s an amazing build and I want to see you make a video on it
Yeah I tried to stay away from unearthed arcana just because it's not official play stuff, so I want to make sure it's allowed at most tables when I do a build.
@@dndbuilds I believe the only UA he used was the Revenant sub race from gothic heroes UA, and his build goes to Oathbreaker Paladin 5 before it goes pact of the blade warlock to 15, I was expecting the builds to be really similar, but yours is actually way different
Hey I know you already made many Naruto build but I think a Minato build would be intresting (soul knife conjuration wizard)? Also I really like your channel and I one of your build even inspired me for my next PC
Actually, he has never been an avenger but he was the fourth member of wolverine's fantastic four. (Along with grey hulk, spider man, and wolverine) comics are strange.
Using DnD 5e rules, you can do so with just pen and paper (the old fashioned way). You can also use dndbeyond, but you would have to buy individual pieces to complete the build unless you want the most basic stuff. But there are plenty of other places and resources, the first DnD game I ever played was through a site called Roll20
Nice build however I'd go Custom Lineage Reborn Human as race, same feats and asi, but instead of undead warlock of go 14 Fiend Warlock and 6 Paladin ( Penance Stare Aka Hurl Through Hell)
@Miguel Angelus You got a point there i would replace mounted combat with Tough Feat. STR 15, DEX 8, CON 15, INT 8, WIS 8 CHA 17 (15+2 Race) custom lienage feat Mounted Combat. Lev 4 +1 Str +1 Cha ( str 16 cha 18) lv 8 +2 Str ( 18 Str) lv 12 +2 Cha ( 18str 20Cha) lv 4 paladin +2Str grand total stats 20Str 8 Dex 15 Con 8 Int, 8 Wis 20 Cha.
I thought more of the Necrotic as soul damage (even though I understand it's not necessarily the case). So most fire damage I relied on was Green Flame Blade, Hellish Rebuke, and more fire based Smites
One small change I'd make is that I would start as a paladin to gain heavy armor proficiency making it so the AC is less of a issue
Absolutely, if I was going more based off of optimization and less trying to follow a theme for a character, That's definitely the route I would go
@dndbuilds it would also let you start with medium instead of waiting until 13th
If you swap a feat for medium armor master, and wear half-plate, and have atleast a 16 in dex, you can have 18 base AC.
That's what I did I went 5 lvs into oath oathbreaker and the rest warlock.
Previous editions have a spiked chain if your DM will let you import.
The second sickest build I have seen. The flash was the first.
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️

If your DM allowed you to, your mount could be a Devil’s ride, a Motorcycle from Baldur’s gate.

Definitely plan to, and I know the struggle of being the DM but not the player lol
By far my favorite build I've seen of Ghost Rider thus far, honestly.
But for the last ASI, why not get the feat, "Fighting Initiate" so you could take Dueling and do some additional damage with your whip?
I actually wound up changing that last ASI on Patreon to the Resilient Feat, just to get CON Proficiency and the same amount of CON simultaneously
Awesome build and keep up the great work
Thanks, will do!

I love Undead warlock and it fit Ghost Rider so perfectly. Just hate that my campaigns only ever get to level 10-12.
Great job
Really cool build!
Thanks glad you liked it!
The tiefling feat "flames of phlegothos" can help with the ghost rider look and help with fire damage output
It could be pretty nice if the build was centered around Green-flame Blade instead of normal attacks
I'm building this but with a Zariel Tiefling, moderately armoured and flames of phlegethos feats.

Would love to see you do a Koragg the wolf knight from mystic power rangers in your next build.
I would have to look into that one, I did a power rangers build earlier, but I don't know enough about wolf knight
Koragg is interesting. I don't know if he would be an oathbreaker, because he essentially broke an oath, or oath of the crown because he serves his evil master.

I personally like the ghost rider build that tulok the barbarian made better, but I commend you for doing this without any unearthed arcana

Plz next time could you make ace from one peice I want to make a one piece Campane but I can't figure out how to do a logia
cool, you goold do one with his ennemy Blackhear
I would have also picked Cantrips like Lightning Lure and/or Thorn Whip.

How many Ghost Rider movies have there been? I know about the two Nick Cage ones but wasn't there another Johnny Blaze in these clips?
There's only two movies but there's also an appearance in agents of shield
Actually, he has never been an avenger but he was the fourth member of wolverine's fantastic four. (Along with grey hulk, spider man, and wolverine) comics are strange.
Apparently Ghost Rider was part of the Stone age avengers, which I actually didn't know was a thing before, joining up in 1 million BC lol
So you have any page that you write the steps? Because im thinking of playing it in my next campaign. But im already playing in one
I do put all the character sheets in Patreon, you'd just have to trim it down a little door leveling purposes
@@dndbuilds thanks my brother
A Hulk build would be nice.
Definitely plan to, I keep adding it to votes, but it hasn't won yet, I'll just wind up throwing it in on its own soon.
I rolled a nat 20 on arcana
Going for those Marbles!!!
Loving these! Have you considered Minato? (Narutos father) he has a unique combat style that might be fun.
Where exactly can I make these build at.. I’m new to this
Using DnD 5e rules, you can do so with just pen and paper (the old fashioned way). In a fantasy/medieval setting, Ghost Rider would be ride on a horse instead of a motorcycle.
I think investiture of flame is huge
i like the idea but you only start with two warlock cantrips at lvl1 one not 4 at tenth lvl you get 4
would like to see MODOK IF possible
This kinda of a funny request, but could you do the characters from South Park ( stick of truth versions) ?
I rolled a Nat 1 on my intimidation check and ended up burning the soul of the person I was supposed to interrogate
why wouldn't you refer to the chain as a flail rather than a whip for damage purposes?
Purely for range
Mmm a paladin vengeance warlock hex blade
Nice build however I'd go Custom Lineage Reborn Human as race, same feats and asi, but instead of undead warlock of go 14 Fiend Warlock and 6 Paladin ( Penance Stare Aka Hurl Through Hell)
Oh that would have been a great way to pull that off, I didn't consider that, I was very focused on the form of dread and the phantom steed
Fair enough also, the Invocation Mask of Many Faces could be used for the transformation until taking the Tasha Otherworldly Guise.
You couldn't go with the same ASI because Custom Lineage only allows you a single +2. Either STR or CHA would start at 15 instead of 16
@Miguel Angelus You got a point there i would replace mounted combat with Tough Feat. STR 15, DEX 8, CON 15, INT 8, WIS 8 CHA 17 (15+2 Race) custom lienage feat Mounted Combat. Lev 4 +1 Str +1 Cha ( str 16 cha 18) lv 8 +2 Str ( 18 Str) lv 12 +2 Cha ( 18str 20Cha) lv 4 paladin +2Str grand total stats 20Str 8 Dex 15 Con 8 Int, 8 Wis 20 Cha.
🥑
making sure you're ahead of the game this time lol
wrong warlock subclass
What would you have gone with?
Fiend warlock at 14th lvl you get hurl through hell the perfect penance stare
@@Fthysv that is a super solid choice, I just couldn't pass up the phantom steed and form of dread, but I like that build idea too
There is always find steed and instead of form of dread at 11th level of warlock you can get investiture of flame
I had the right idea, just too many paladin levels.
I had to keep on my poker face and not let you know how close to being right you were
This build revolves around necrotic instead of fire damage, thus not Ghost Rider accurate. Pass.
I thought more of the Necrotic as soul damage (even though I understand it's not necessarily the case). So most fire damage I relied on was Green Flame Blade, Hellish Rebuke, and more fire based Smites
