For those that want a bit of clarification-
Both hexokinase and glucokinase are found in the liver.
Glucokinase is also called hexokinase IV, and it is found in the liver, pancreas, hypothalamus, and small intestine.
Hexokinase is also called hexokinase I, and it is found in all mammalian tissues.
(What I'm saying is that the lecture is correct, but I realize some people might wonder why glucokinase was not mentioned)

Damn, your explanations are amazing. In the last few days, I've watched through quite a few metabolisms and love the way you present. From beginning to end it's high quality, clean drawings, easy-to-follow steps, very professional... One can see how much time you have invested in each video. Thank you!

Wouldn't it be glucokinase, not hexokinase in the liver?

The liver contains both glucokinase and hexokinase.

Liver contain both of them and glucokines is specific while hexokeines is not and both kinase the glucose
